We have been taking two cars to Marshall's for 12 and a half years and we couldn't be happier…read more Their mechanics are experts on just about everything. Best of all, they're scrupulously honest. Case in point. I thought I had break problems as the car was making a squeal when I applied the brakes and later on it had a rubbing noise while driving. Called them and yes, they could have had me brought the car to them and charged me for a break job I didn't need. But no. The problem was a simple issue which I resolved myself with their guidance. On another case, I had a puncture in one of the exhaust pipes. It would have been simple for them to have an entire exhaust repair. Instead, I was pointed to a repair place nearby where they were able to do some precision welding for a fraction of what it could have cost. Their service orientation is above par. Devon and Gage are able to provide superb support even in the middle of the busiest days. Unflappable people. They do have AAA discounts too. Best yet, they support veteran causes and that is an added star in my book. We use them for everything related to our vehicles. Superb members of our community, superb professionals, superb people.

A few weeks ago my car went off the side of the road during an ice storm and hit some trees. The…read moredamage wasn't too bad, but I cracked the windshield and part of the fiberglass body of the car. AAA sent Green's auto to tow my car back to Andover. I asked the car to be towed to the garage to be given an estimate of how much it would cost to be fixed - I wanted to know whether it was worth doing, it being an older car. However, I never received this information from Green's. Instead I received a bill for $90 with a simple verbal "there might be something broken on the inside, I can't tell. I wouldn't suggest driving it." He offered to buy the car for less than $200 for parts, which I denied. I didn't receive any diagnostics, just a bill for "labor." I know $90 isn't much in the car fixing world, but I certainly felt scamed out of that money. We were actually able to drive the car all the way to Salem, NH (where I knew we could get a mechanic we could trust)...about 50 miles overall, so there was clearly nothing wrong with the engine. Meanwhile the shop is dirty and mean looking, I wouldn't have patronized them if I had a choice.

When I asked him for an invoice on the "estimate" he gave me, he needed to call someone before…read moreprinting it out. His "estimate" was hand written on paper of what he "looked at" for an hour, and he didn't provide an amount or best-guess to fix the vehicle. I have no problem paying for labor, but this guy doesn't document anything, tells you nothing, then wants payment IN CASH ONLY after I asked him for some basic paperwork showing what he "looked at" (so that I can cover myself when scrapping the vehicle).... but there is a solution: Go to Walker's Auto only a few miles down the road in Wilmot off Route 11 (Same Road).
