Since purchasing our home nine years ago, my wife and I have been blessed to be in a position to…read moremake upgrades. Our home is 32 years old; therefore, we are often watching home renovation shows to obtain ideas on how we can modernize things. One repair that we needed to make was to fix two window screens that had holes and needed to be rescreened. Considering that one of the screens was for a large window in our bedroom, we figured this would be a great way to finally be able to open our window and let fresh air into our room. The other items on our list were focused on upgrading lighting in a few areas in our home. After doing some research on handymen in Elk Grove, JL Handyservices with it's perfect reviews populated at the top of my Yelp search results. I immediately called Jason Le (owner) and scheduled an appointment for him to visit my home and provide me with a quote. A few days later Jason promptly arrived to do an inspection, shortly after the inspection he sent me a text with the quote. For the installation of two recessed lighting cans - one in a bathroom and another in a walk-in closet- , a motion sensitive lightbar in the garage, and two window screen replacements came to a total just over $600. The day of the appointment Jason arrived on time and ready to take care of the tasks. After asking a few questions pertaining to the temperature (brightness) of the recessed lighting, he began the installation process. Since my wife and I were working from home, he was very considerate in communicating that he would need to briefly turn off our power. Although this was a slight inconvenience, it was very short lived due to Jason's efficiency. Roughly three hours later, Jason was summoning me to check out the final product(s). Installation was very neat and Jason did a great job of cleaning any trash that was left behind. As my wife and I continue to identify areas of our home that need to be upgraded, I will be reaching out to Jason for future services. If you're looking for a professional, knowledgeable, and communicative handyman that's efficient as your nearby In-N-Out Burger...I highly recommend reaching out to Jason!

We are so glad we picked Sam to help us install our Grab Bar. He had all the right tools to get the job done. When he was done, he walked us through everything he did, additional anchors he installed since there was no studs in the location we wanted, how he silicone all the necessary areas to provide a waterproof seal and the final demonstration was he put his entire body weight on the bar and it did not budge. What an Excellent job! It was so easy to work with him as he listens, answers your questions, shares valuable information so you know your options. We have already booked him for 2 more projects. Furthermore, the installation job was problematic; the main kitchen counter was crooked and our other contractor had to fix it to put the countertop on. There were several other small issues as well. Were it not for that I probably would've given a four or five star rating.

John offered a fair price, and we scheduled the work for the following day. He arrived on time, with the proper tools, and quickly completed the work as requested. Unable to provide a replacement due to supply side shortages, the dealer had given us a full refund, without requiring us to ship the damaged unit back. John looked at the unit, and in about 5 minutes, he was able to address the issue. He did not charge us more for this work, so we really ended up in great shape. It should go without saying that should we need more help with furniture assembly in the future, my FIRST call will be to John at A1. He deserves 10 stars!

In just two days (about 12 hours total), he accomplished an incredible amount for us.
