The produce section was especially nice, though the rest of the store was just as organized and inviting. The familiar Safeway layout made everything easy to find, and the overall atmosphere felt calm and pleasant rather than hectic. Self-checkout was clean and seamless, and the parking lot felt safe. I was surprised to see the average Yelp rating hovering around 2.5 stars. Of course, I did not experience the store during its busiest daytime hours, but based on my visit, I have nothing but positive things to say. They also had an amazing dairy section where they had all types of cream. I should've gotten some instead of leaning on my hotel that was not so good. The staff was wonderful a lot of young people that were very smart and savvy working there. I made a joke about a song on the radio that was Suzie and the banshees from the 1980s when I was young and I couldn't believe I was listening to old music so they had a really cool radio station. Everything was so organized and the produce was beautiful. I can't imagine why people wouldn't leave a wonderful review. What are you thinking? Life can be so much harder than this. The isles are incredibly narrow, I am of average weight and I maybe had a half a foot on each side in the aisle. The produce didn't seem very fresh, so I skipped over that. They add features, cute trade names, and try to develop cults around products to boost sales. While it's not a bad idea to boost sales, the basics have to be right. I have to choose this locale, where I went Wednesday, to moan about the severe hike in prices, short cycle of products, and the drift from doing the basics correctly. TJ used to march to a different drummer. House brands with quality for household staples, often with an international flavor and source. There is still a wide variety of decent international staples, but it's highly focused on cult products and flavorings. Prepackaged and ultra-processed foods are becoming standard(s). Protein is down, carbs are up. There's still a reasonable variety of veggies, fresh, but not in wide abundance. Certain common items, like walnuts, go missing for long periods of time, and other items become seasonable and their shelf space is unreliable. So while it's still good, there is now wade through the weeds of products that are edge-case. Hail Mary Marketing attempts. I bristle.

You can get good quality meat and fresh veggies without getting out of your car! I ordered the frozen protein box and produce box, probably enough to last us for weeks (and many supermarket visits saved). You can get their Facebook page for items. The ordering process is clunking though. I left a VM with my order but no call back, so I drove down. There are signs on the front door saying don't enter, wait outside and someone will come get your phone number. It did after about 3 minutes. Waited in my car and another 5 minutes later, a nice lady called, took my orders and credit card numbers (visa and master card only). The fresh protein box was already sold out and they needed 30 minutes to put the veggies together. Hung out in my car listening to podcasts so no big deal. When time's up I pull my car to the loading docks. Boxes were ready but still had to wait 5 minutes. I think they couldn't find the credit card recipe. Anyhow, the nice young man put the boxes in my trunk and off I went! I wish they'd streamline the process. It's a distribution place and they're not used to dealing with consumers.
