I primarily shop at this target for its Goya products and latin vegetables. We make our own sofrito and Dave's is one of the few grocery stores that usually carries all of the ingredients that I use. On my most recent visit for sofrito ingredients, Dave's was out of stock on ajito peppers. I substituded some small sweet peppers instead, but they didn't have the same flavor, unfortunately. However, making sofrito in the middle of summer when all of the ingredients are fresh yields the tastiest sofrito. It's hard to find recao leaves, but Dave's keeps them in stock. You can get cilantro, onions, garlic, and tomatoes anywhere. Ajito peppers and recao are really hard to find, except for at Dave's. The store is always clean and they have an excellent in-stock condition.

Don't fret, there is some parking behind the store because it's chaos in the little lot that houses the gas pumps. Glass enclosed cashier area gives you the feel of Cleveland inner-city. Also heard that women get verbally harassed in the late night hours by men who are hanging out on the property. That may sound harsh, but it is not a "bad area". Just an area to be "alert" in. And it is perfectly fine during the day (unless you get hit by a car driving too quickly into the Starbucks across the street). If you are a diehard wine fan, this stop is a MUST Northeast Ohio. For such a small area, I might proclaim it the best overall selection on the West Side (yes, better than Rozi's or Red, Wine & Brew or the various Heinen's or Avon Wine Room). Just because they have a huge selection of extensive serious wines in the $100 - $400 range. Plus they have the selection of the under $10 bottle, plus they have many offerings in the teen range. Much bigger than it looks from outside. There's a lot to look through in this small store so take some time. A favorite section is the beer. It all is located in a small refrigerated section. There's all kinds of unfamiliar sounding beers so you aren't going to find cans of Natty Lite or shit like that. Beer of this quality here is pretty cheap. There's a few large bottles for about $2, and these are pretty large. Besides the beer they also have lots of coffee and pop. They have some varieties that you can't find anywhere else like it seems. Among the food is lots and lots of candy. It's about $2 for a good size bag and there's lots to choose from. The ingredients are in different languages but includes English too. It even has a produce section and the fruits and vegetables look fresh. They have a very large deli section. Cool place for getting European food. It can be hard to find because it's hard to see. This is in the shopping plaza that's at the corner of State and Pleasant Valley.

It was a quick and efficient visit. The woman over the counter inside the convenience store was very nice and friendly. Besides gas, I bought a snack to take with me on the road as I was about to drive to Columbus. I'm only giving them 4 stars since I've only been here once and it was a very quick visit. I haven't used this gas station enough to warrant a 5 star review. Is the bathroom clean? - I don't know because I've never used it. Do the gas pumps always work? - I don't know because I've only been here once. Once I visit more times then I can give a full review.
