I've been going to Lucky's for years and never knew the gas station across the street sold wine! I went to shop for Thanksgiving wines. What did I find? Good wines. Interesting wines. Unique wines. Fine wines. A carefully curated collection of bottles from France, Italy, California, Pacific Northwest, Chile, Argentina, Spain, Portugal, South Africa, and more. I chatted with the owner, who praised my selection and told me he keeps shop because he LOVES fine wines and beers. I'll have to check out the beers next time. The shop also carries a wide selection of affordable wines and standard brands. I think I Just found my go-to local beverage stop. read more

Haven't seen a recent review so I think it is quite deserving of one here and now. An amazing wine selection (all regions covered with many trophy wines (think Shafer, Caymus Special Selection, Romanee Conti, Masetto, etc. prominent) as well as a good selection of daily sippers in the $15-$25 category. I would feel comfortable going off their recommendations - they have a $20 wine rack smack dab in the center with offerings from everywhere. They have cases of wine in the low teens that they tout. They have shelves in the front of the store with everyday wines like Barefoot, Sutter Home, etc. This is all in a small square corner of a gas station (yes, a 2 pump gas station) on Clifton Blvd right across from Lucky's Market. Don't fret, there is some parking behind the store because it's chaos in the little lot that houses the gas pumps. Glass enclosed cashier area gives you the feel of Cleveland inner-city. Also heard that women get verbally harassed in the late night hours by men who are hanging out on the property. That may sound harsh, but it is not a "bad area". Just an area to be "alert" in. And it is perfectly fine during the day (unless you get hit by a car driving too quickly into the Starbucks across the street). If you are a diehard wine fan, this stop is a MUST Northeast Ohio. For such a small area, I might proclaim it the best overall selection on the West Side (yes, better than Rozi's or Red, Wine & Brew or the various Heinen's or Avon Wine Room). Just because they have a huge selection of extensive serious wines in the $100 - $400 range. Plus they have the selection of the under $10 bottle, plus they have many offerings in the teen range. Good craft selection, not the best but you can create your own "sixer"!!!! An old high school acquaintance works there also, the rest of the staff are as stiff as boards, its on the way to alot of routine destinations, such as, PW's. The fact that any more than three cars there at once causes a ruckus sucks too, could just be people are morons. Prices are kinda high, but supply and demand comes into effect there. They have quite the selection as I stated earlier. They stay stocked on Two Hearted Ale, always good selection of Fat Heads and Stone breweries selections. You could go across the street and hit up CVS and spend an arm and a leg on lesser quality beer. It's always jumping, so you never know who you're going to run into on the weekends. read more

I love that this is a small, locally owned gas station that takes great pride in having an excellent selection of wine and craft beer. My smoking friends say the tobacco prices are very competitive, and I've seen the place put money into improvements over the years. The one huge problem is they've completely stopped monitoring their parking lot / storefront area - which is a very tiny area to look after, basically just a couple gas pumps worth of space. Yet I can't remember the last time I stopped here after dark without someone panhandling, smoking, or saying something crude while standing IMMEDIATELY in front of the entrance. It's as though they couldn't care less if their customers are harassed - and, by the way, they couldn't. Once, as a single lady that had just been harassed at the door, I mentioned it to the employee working. His response: "Whet do you want me to do about it?" It's not in a particularly bad neighborhood, and other nearby businesses aren't plagued by this problem so consistently, which makes me assume it's something the staff just lets happen (see above). I now skip this place, but my boyfriend still stops here - and says the problem is ongoing. It just doesn't bother him as much because he's a 45 year old man that doesn't have to hear T&A comments as he tries to walk in the door. read more

Excellent selection of wine and great beers. Easy stop and go for a last minute party gift

The other reviews pretty much nailed it, for a gas station- killer beer selection. It's almost unfathomable. I stop here on party nights coming home from Lake County at midnight or as today, in the middle of the day. That's the thing. For 24 hour service you can go to BP( Coors or Miller anyone?) or 117th Giant Eagle(hi, can someone ring out my stupid alcohol order?). Honestly, they can't make a thing that scans your drivers license for beer purchases without involving some minimum wage creature feature? The word convenient fails this establishment. It is BEYOND convenient. As someone who works third shift, I give super mega props to these employees. They are ten times the worker you get at a shithole like Marc's. I love this place, I love the workers, I love being awake when all you 9-5 lame sucks are asleep. We rule the night and we're drunk as shit. read more

I had a party for a former co-worker who is going on to greener pastures. I figured I would stop in here and pick up a case of some cheap beer. I walked out with a bunch of Founders Breakfast Stout and Flying Dog Gonzo. The beer selection is outstanding and I was quite shocked by this. It was hard to narrow my selections down because of the amount of quality beers on hand. What a great store! If you live on this side of town or by the east end of Lakewood, this store is a must stop for good beer. read more

Wow! For a convenience store/gas station, this place has an amazing beer selection. I could have spent at least twice as long in there as I did, reading labels and contemplating different flavors and brands. In the end, I went with Left Hand Brewing's 400 lb Monkey - yum! It looked like they have everything else you'd expect for a quick-stop convenience store - smokes, chips, candy, sodas, etc. The reason to stop by EZ Stop, though, is to grab some above average-to-great beer on the fly! read more

Lakewood's local gas-mart. Located at the prominent intersection of W117 and Clifton. EZ Shop has a surprisingly amazing selection of wine and (moderately) craft beer! This is currently my go to place to get some good beer, as opposed to typical stuff you would normally find at any gas station in America. More over THEY HAVE 100's of DIFFERENT WINES! Which is awesome.(It makes Allison happy at least) I have never seen a gas station with what they have, truly unique. Even though they currently do not have wine sales on sunday, it is still my go to. read more
