We chose them not only because they were League City local, but live in the same neighborhood. Very credible. We had a problem with the City getting the permit approved and postponed the procedure by 3 weeks, but not by any fault of Vargas. City was dragging their feet and made excuses about required attachments included in emails. Sam and his father were very personable and over saw every step of the process. After they completed the patio several neighbors inquired and some got new patios and or driveways widened, something the home builders should have done in the first place. We highly recommend Vargas for your next project, no matter what home improvement you desire. Call them and they will serve.

We discovered it had been leaking for quite some time and there was extensive damage inside the walls. We interviewed six companies. When we met with Mike he was on time and professional. You would think that would be the standard for any company that wanted your business. I can tell you it is not. We spoke with Mike about repairs and waited for a proposal. We received the proposal same day. We hired Mike and his team to began the daunting task of trying to fix what had been neglected by previous homeowners for years. Robert showed up on time and ready to work. Robert and the guys worked tirelessly day after day to get the job done. There were several add ons and small changes that we made and the team was happy to help. We had intended to only update the shower but because of the outstanding customer service and pricing we decided to move forward with the rest of the bathroom. By the time the job was done my family and I were accustomed to seeing Robert, his son and Mitch show up at 8am on the dot. My wife and I made the joke we would miss having them around. In closing let me say this. Quality work for a fair price is difficult to find these days. I felt comfortable with Home Builders Elite working in my home and around my wife and children even when I wasn't around. The team did a great job and an amazing clean up when they were finished. I have already recommended them to several of my neighbors who have damage from the winter storm. Thanks again Home Builders Elite for the great work and we look forward to working with you guys again on future upgrades.

We hired Tim at Fig Tree Construction to remodel our kitchen and dining room. While Tim was not…read morethe low bidder, our personal interaction, his charisma and knowledge, along with the quality promised in his proposal, helped us decide to award him the contract. We were not dissappointed! The end result is a kitchen and dining room that more than fulfilled our desires, all brought in on budget. Tim was very good about providing detailed line item descriptions and allowances, and worked with us to save dollars on some line items so that we could upgrade other items. We were quite pleased! About 90%+ of the project was completed ahead of schedule, but styling disagreements with one of his subs, and a related material shortage, caused the overall project to extend well beyond the original time-frame. Rather than allow this to become an even bigger issue, Tim worked diligently with us and the sub to come up with an agreeable solution. We had a great experience with Tim at Fig Tree Construction, and couldn't be happier with the end result! We found Tim to be personable, honest and easy to work with, and always ready to offer his opinion and/or provide options during the process. With the one exception noted above, all of Tim's subcontractors were professional, courteous, and skilled craftsmen. They were a joy to have in our home! We highly recommend Tim and Fig Tree Construction for any remodeling needs. We are planning to remodel our master bedroom and bathroom next year, and Tim will be the first contractor we call for a proposal!

I've learned from experience to hire local builders in Galveston, because many of those from the mainland don't understand the impact of the salt water and environmental degradation to a house. What's important in hiring a contractor is honesty and the quality of his subcontractors. I came to appreciate Spiros attention to detail and not letting any quality to be compromised. The subcontractors were excellent. Spiros was responsive to every request. While we had many surprises and unexpected challenges during the project, at the end of the day, Spiros built one of the most beautiful homes in Pirates Beach in Galveston. I would highly recommend Spiros to anyone who's looking for a small, medium or large project. Most importantly, he can be trusted.
