After years and years of hanging on to "things" I never used, sold or donated and thus making our garage a messy, unsightly and unusable place, I changed my mindset, thanks to Ariane and Shannon and couldn't be happier AND healthier. It feels much better to live in the present than to hang on to things from my past. These are things I decided someone else could much better use and enjoy, and the adage, if you haven't used it in a year, you don't "need" it, is so true. Ariane and Shannon helped me and my husband to sort, donate, toss or keep so many things we had saved for 20 or more years. They also offer to take items to donate as well. I learned about my city's (Fullerton) numerous opportunities for large item pick ups and extra trash pick ups (for an added fee) in the process. I became a familiar face at our local disposal place, which I (don't laugh) was kinda nervous about going to before, and that's why so many things didn't get "dumped." Our garage now has useable totes and shelves and designated spaces for items we truly need and use for our home and life. Big pluses for "The Clutter Nanny" are that both Ariane and Shannon are punctual, hard working, organized, great communicators and schedulers, conscientious, creative, and fantastic problem solvers. Now, and for our future, we have our two-car garage back and I look FORWARD to doing my laundry, storing and easily getting outdoor accessories and decor, easily finding camping items and tools to use indoors and outdoors. All our garage clutter is gone, and with this mindset, which Ariane and Shannon fostered in me, which feels and IS healthy, I am positive, I will not go back to clutter again. Our initial experience with Closet & Garage Remedy was actually when I decided we needed to get all the junk off the floor of our garages. They had become a dump zone, and I thought I just needed overhead rack storage. So I contacted a few overhead storage people, they came out, and - long story short - it turned out not to be the solution for us. I ended up researching wall-based storage systems, and CGR was the first company to schedule a visit. Jeff came out to measure up and show us options. As we talked it through, we saw that we had other needs that could be addressed: putting the freezer somewhere sensible, getting rid of the mish mash of plastic shelves, cabinets, and shoe racks we'd amassed over the years, and getting even more shelving so we could move seasonal decoration to the garage too. We then noticed that CGR does epoxy flooring, something we have been curious about for decades. So we decided Why The Heck Not - and we went for the whole package: epoxy flooring, shelving, and built in cabinets with a workspace. For the first time in 8 houses, we'd have a Grown Up Garage! Top tip for my fellow Yelpers though: plan for more shoe storage than you think. Thank me later! Jeff sketched out the design then and there, and gave us excellent pricing with absolutely no pressure, which was awesome. In short order, Sylvia called us to schedule the work and the installation began: first the epoxy flooring, then the slatwall, cabinets, and shelving. The installation team were super efficient and kept everything clean as they worked and when they finished each day. If there were any issues that we found, they either fixed it the same day or returned to address it without any questions. We were so pleased with the result that we decided to do a second round to add more slatwall and shelving - because there is never too much space for organizing! We have now used up almost all of the shelving and we're still noodling through all the possibilities with the slatwall, but already we feel so much relief and zen from having a neat garage. Not only can we find everything we need without an archaeological expedition, we were able to move a ton of lesser-used items out of our master closet so we could more aesthetically organize that too. So don't think the benefits of garage storage only improve the garage! If you would like to experience the same kind of relief and zen in your garage, I can't recommend CGR enough. You may, like me, also find yourself tempted to extend the zen beyond your garage, like I did with the pantry (my previous review). No matter what you choose, you won't regret it!

The cleaners were on time and were both very friendly and very nice. They got to work right away starting with the downstairs while I stayed upstairs. Once they finished we switched so they could clean the upstairs. This is my first time hiring Yuly's Cleaning or doing business with a cleaning company. My normal house cleaning is independent and it's just her and friend doing through their small business. Being my first time I wanted to check their work closely. A quick swipe of the kitchen counters with my finger and I was pretty disappointed. At first look it looks clean but it was not. I moved over the breakfast bar counter and the same thing. Almost like they quickly just wiped everything with a damp cloth "a very surface level of clean". I moved to other top flat services and it was the same experience through the downstairs. Picture frames were not dusted. Anything that was on the counter was not moved in order to clean under it. This was a "regular house clean" not a deep clean, but to me these are all basic cleaning fundamentals. The price was 30% higher than what I'm used to paying my regular house cleaner. It's too bad she moved. I need to find a replacement, and Yuly's will not be it. Yuly, I have pictures and video clips if you would like to see. EDIT - Response to Angie's comment: I just uploaded some videos for you to look at. Not expecting polished furniture. Just a good cleaning of my kitchen counters. Also it shouldn't be my responsibility to go through the entire house and spot check their work while they are here. If they say they are finished, then I should be able to expect that they cleaned my house, within the parameters of the service requested, to the best of their abilities. Who wants to have to babysit the workers the whole time? You shouldn't expect that of your customers. You should want your customers to sit back and just enjoy the aftermath of their house being "professionally cleaned".
