The sun lounge area to the beach is shockingly over occupied with millimetres from sun lounger to sun lounger this is due to the management allowing the public to use all the facilities at a price which leaves the paying guests forced to be packed in like sardines. Why the hell do they allow this to the general public when it's only a small place. They obviously do not care about the paying customers as they have already taken your money which is extremely expensive. The bar area in the late afternoon and evening is the same, small space which would be fine but again open to the general public. Felt really uncomfortable with it being so packed. I blame the manager for this, he was totally rude and did not care about anything. He was totally uneducated with the surrounding area and with his staff. I asked him what restaurant options we had available as it was a Sunday, his reply was "the fancy restaurant " to which I replied you mean the Michelin Star restaurant. WHAT A CLOWN. We are fortunate enough to have a sports car to which we wanted to drive to St Tropez and asked the manager the best way to find a secure parking spot, his reply " get valet parking from one of the hotels in the area, there is a new hotel in the centre which you could do this but can't remember the name, might be Hotel De Paris" I replied saying that hotel has been there for over 20 years. WHAT A CLOWN Overall, extremely poor, not relaxing, not worth the money, poor service. Sea area extremely congested, bar area extremely congested Left this place feeling extremely angry and feel like we have been robbed of a large amount of money. There is a fabulous fine dining restaurant, an elegant bar and a restaurant out on the jetty. We rented one of their listed apts in Nice for a week during our April 2013 vacation in southern France, and the experience was nearly perfect. The 1BR apt was clean and beautiful and less expensive than a comparable hotel suite would have been. The description and pictures on their website were accurate and we encountered no problems. We had a few questions, which their rep responded to promptly by phone. My wife did have a few minor maintenance issues with the place, which I now don't remember because they were not critically important. We would definitely use their services again. The quality was there and their screening process ensures a nice, well-equipped place to stay. I am frankly surprised by the dispute with Michael M. My wife's boss used their services on a family vacation and also had a good experience, which is why she recommended them to us. BTW, their complimentary paperback guide book to Nice and the French Riviera was excellent and contained useful comments about the area's attractions, restaurants, and transportation alternatives.

I imagine if everything goes well then they are OK but when things go wrong the customer service is horrible. I stayed in an apartment that had faulty air con, no smoke alarm and the fire escape didn't open. They moved us to a different apartment after 2 days but when I asked for compensation for the inconvenience and my phone bill to sort out the mess I spoke with the Managing Director - she was unreasonably rude! Needless to say I will be avoiding using them when I got back to Nice. I only wish I had read the first couple of reviews here and I would have avoided them altogether.

We checked into this apartment in Nice based on the reviews we had seen on this site. BEWARE. This…read moreapartment looks different in the online pictures than it does in real life. The pictures must have been taken years ago. The walls of the apartment were dirty. The floor was dirty. The elevator in the building did not work, nor did the A/C, nor did the stovetop. There were stray hairs on the supposedly clean beds and the entire apartment had an unclean, sticky, and unpleasant feel to it. The final straw for us was that the morning after we checked in, there was a strong smell of URINE emanating from the shower drain. The smell did not go away and spread throughout the entire apartment. After communicating this to Sunlight Properties, their explanation was that the buildings in Nice are old and that this smell was not out of the ordinary and not unexpected. They said they would pour some drain cleaner down the shower drain and that the smell should go away. We obviously were already extremely dissatisfied with the apartment and had decided to instead go to a hotel down the street. We asked for a refund for the 5 nights we would not be spending in the apartment-because, again, the apartment REEKED OF URINE-and we were told no refunds were to be given and that we would have to deal with the smell and stay there or lose our entire booking payment. I implore you-do not stay or book in this apartment or any apartment managed by Sunlight Properties. They are unprofessional, substandard, and not operating in good faith. Please spare yourself the headache and revolting, horrid experience and stay elsewhere in Nice.
