Great location! Excellent customer service! I booked a 1 bedroom apartment with a fold out sofa at Résidence Clignancourt for the last week in March. Overall, it was a good experience and I would recommend staying here, as long as you know what your getting in to.
All in all, the good outweighs the bad by far. I made reservations through Booking.com. That process was seamless. No issues. The one comment I have, though, is that the pictures on line are not truly representative of the property (think real-estate broker pictures). The pictures all look great! The property is a little run down, though. For someone not used to it, the street the property is on could be a little unsettling. We walked by the door twice before finally asking the receptionist at the Best Western where the entry was located. He had clearly been asked before. The only indication that you're in the right spot is a small sign on a gray door. It was locked, and I couldn't raise anyone on the intercom. I ended up calling David, the owner/manager on his cell phone (provided by Booking.com). He answered right away and came down to meet us.
It was awesome to meet David, who let us check in early and handed us the keys in person. He gave a quick tour to show us how things worked and told us we could call anytime if there was a problem. The location is excellent! There are two Metro stops within short walking distance. Montmartre and Sacré-Coeur are just five minutes away. There's a grocery store two doors down next to a bakery. For the price, it really can't be beat.
Overall, my 4 stars are for the location and customer service. The beds were comfortable and the apartment suited our purposes. It is not a 4-Star hotel! The room we were in was a little run down. However, the goods definitely outweigh the bad. I'd stay here again! read more
