There were divers everywhere and supposedly there is a submarine, double decker bus, airplane and all sorts sunken here! It was cool to watch the divers in action. There is also a good little pub where you can sit and watch what's going on out in the water!

Rebuilt or renovated a few years ago, the Leisure Centre has two clean swimming pools, one full…read moresize and a smaller for children, large clean changing rooms, good showers and welcoming staff. There are various aquatic events going on during daytime in the week, a raft and floating toys session at the week-end and swimming lessons. Ther is also a gym on site, and I have to say after having tried most in North Warwickshire at one point or another, that this one is by far one of the less intimidating and the best value for money. The gym has all the equipment you find everywhere, rovers, steppers, treadmills and weightlifting stations. They are all accessed through the fitlinx which allows you to chart your progress lesson after lesson. You can get e-mails sent home when you have reached milestones and the staff will give you motivational advice. They also offer body fat and muscle etc analysis and will keep a track of your records. The gym can get a bit busy in the evening, less so during the day, and you fast get to know the regulars who are a pretty friendly bunch. The changing rooms are fairly new, big and clean, the showers rather powerful. Did I mention the staff and their friendliness? I have to admit that I am not an all year round regular, but I do come back again and again. One last thing I like about the centre are the evening classes. They are held in the community centre just on the other side of the car park. You pay your ticket at the Leisure Centre and take it across. Fees are ridiculously low, my favourite class is the circuit training. That's really fun, I come out panting, tired, but exhilarated. Recommended.

I was visiting with a friend in Nottingham, and after a night out, we took our sorry butts off to David Lloyd's. I'd never imagined it would be as amazing as it is. We started off with a delicious Paleo friendly meal in their cafe. And this was my favourite part. I have quite a few food allergies and Paleo eating is my life. The cafe here caters for paleo eaters, right down to the side of sweet potato fries. The low carb burger is amazing, I highly recommend that. Next off to the gym, for a grueling workout. Well not quite grueling, more stretching and foam rolling. But what i could see is a ton of cardio machines, and even more important a heap of weights. Plenty of squat racks and benches to go around. After our foam rolling, we went to the swimming pool, sauna, and heated spa. This is a great area for the whole family, plenty of space to watch the kids in the pool whilst you relax in the spa. Leaving David Lloyd's, i felt soo relaxed and no longer seedy from the night before. It was like leaving a day spa. I wish we had one of these near where i lived.

We had booked the NCP9 lifeguarding course for my daughter in February 2023, which was due to start during May 29th half term. She turned up for the course only to be told that the course had been cancelled. No apologies from the course management for the cancellation nor as to why we weren't informed of it at first. If we had known this earlier, we would have organised an alternative. Now, her plans and half term have been ruined thanks to a parade of incompetent dimwits. As for the refund, the staff have to speak to their head office about reimbursing the money (which they were more than happy to take). Hadn't they thought of speaking to us about the cancellation first?!?

Back then, Harborne pool was a fairly run down (but nevertheless charming) Victorian pool - with a high glass ceiling and changing rooms that lined the pool. I really used to enjoy swimming there - it was very peaceful. This recently opened new centre on the site of the old pool is also very good. It is BRAND NEW, and you can tell. The facilities are excellent and the pool is first class. They have also added a gym on the 2nd floor which makes the whole building look very impressive when you drive past. I've not used the gym, but judging by how busy the exercise bikes and running machines are in the wide window that overlooks the road, the gym is very popular also.

The park feels peaceful and well-kept, and it's a lovely place to relax and enjoy nature without the crowds.

We were there for almost 2-hours and even sat afterwards at the local cafe near the children's play area and enjoyed a sandwich and tea. It was very busy on a winters Sunday with loads of families, but once we made it towards the back side of the park it was less crowded. We will definitely go again and allow more time to meander around the grounds. The inside of the Coombe Abbey Hotel is just beautiful. Recommend popping inside for a quick look around. I hear the afternoon tea is exquisite in the hotel but i think we should book ahead!
