I have much love for Moseley Park.
You have to be a keyholder to gain entry to this 11 acre, private park except for one day a month which is open day - usually a Saturday and very busy. Keys can be purchased for £40 per year, plus a £7 deposit, and it's really worth having one, particularly if you live in a shared house and can split the cost. Becoming a member also enables you to apply to both the tennis and angling clubs. You can get a key from:

The park is an area of outstanding beauty. It seems overgrown in places but this is understandable as the park remains unchanged for over 100 years and it just adds to the feel that you have somehow found your way into a secret garden.
Why not pop down on open day and have a tour of the Ice House which used to belong to Moseley Hall (the park was once the grounds of this stately home)? I found it really interesting. read more
