As the largest swimming pool within the region, this leisure centre has a lot to live up to, and it does seem to do that. There are two pools - one lane pool which is decent size and is worth checking the timetable to see the available times, since schools often frequent it during term time. The other pool has a rather innovative island in the middle, as well as a flume which makes it a lot of fun. The changing rooms, since being refurbished are clean and practical. There is a cafe for use after your time at Newbold Comyn. There is also a large seating area overlooking the pools so spectators can watch from quite nearby. The pool offers swimming lessons to most levels and ages and is definitely a great place for kids to learn to swim, since the pool is just the right size, and the staff are friendly. read more
