Well I always thought this type of place should be exciting, friendly, fun, calm and relaxed. I can honestly say that i don't consider Tumble Jungle to be any of these. I have no doubt that children just like mine find it a new adventure to start with, but my toddler quickly became bored and kept coming back to the seating area more and more and eventually asked when we were going, I was amazed to be honest I had assumed that we would have to drag him away at some point but no, he was happy to leave. General impressions from an adult point of view: Well firstly the car park was a nightmare, hardly anywhere to park and even the spots that were free were near impossible to get into. They also have a no parking sign next to there front entrance, from what I could see it was supposed to be for deliveries yet there was a blue car parked there, definately NOT a delivery. the counter staff were okay at best got a response when prompted but nothing more, not even a smile to my little one, she always seemed preoccupied with her mobile phone. I did notice when i walked in that it smelled like chip fat/oil, not a pleasant smell at all. None the less me and my friend along with my son tried the food, the food itself wasnt bad but my son had this plastic fantastic flower shape plate which looked like it had come from poundland and was rather small.
I had heard from a friend that this place had a refurbishment not so long ago however my overall impression was that it was in fact due for one, nothing seemed new as such, certainly didnt smell or look new. In fact at first glance outside it strikes me as the sort of place that was a thriving business some years ago but since then has struggled somewhat to stay modern and lacked investment.
Overall, I wont go back, there are other play centres close to the area which are much more pleasant even if they are slightly more expensive, and the children seem to like them more than this one. read more
