Worst company to deal with I have had them for 16 years , and now they send me bills or minimal usage $84.00 my yank is at 30% and I asked why they didn't deliver They said I didn't call Last year went through the same thing and they were going to deliver once a year.they said I was wrong ... they have on file my old phone number from 15 years ago and said I am only here in the summer .Geeze I have lived here for over 15 years full time year round. And be aware they charge to take the tank away when you switch companies ,unless you use up the gas . Absolutely the worst customer service on the planet!!! Called (4) times in two weeks to the number provided; 2 times I never got through after being on hold for an hour. The third time I got through and was told I would get a call back, nope, never happened. The fourth time I was on hold for 3 hours, connected with a representative, was told she needed to transfer me to "new customer set up" but looped me back to the same prompt system I was on hold with for 3 hours. After being on hold for another hour I was connected to a rep and again transferred to another agent, this time in Canada. I don't live in Canada. She asked me to hold and she will connect me with someone in the USA and guess what....disconnected. I've never in my life had so much trouble trying to give a company money for service. This is one of the worst propane companies EVER. And I own over 10 rental properties in 3 different states. Forget trying to ever being able to reach anyone. If you try the phone number listed on their website and online (603-330-0117) you will wait LITERALLY for 30-45 minutes before getting anyone at all. When you do get someone, they will tell you "I have passed your request onto my manager and they will get back to you soon." and then hang up. But you will never hear from anyone ... ever. This company is unethical, over-priced, provides poor service, and just awful in every way. We cancelled services because of these reasons on 11/29/2022. We are STILL waiting on a refund of our last delivery. It is now March 6, 2023. It is almost 5 months later and have yet to receive and call, email, or notification our request is being processed. I have tried calling and emailing them now over eight (8) times since November 2022. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY unless you are willing to tear your hair out when trying to get in touch with them. There are so many other, much better (and less expensive) propane services in the area. read more

I called before this last heating season and was told that there was no longer a pre-pay possibility and the "fixed price" - which was exorbitant, was the only way to go. Since I paid about $1,000 more than last heating season for only 24 gallons more than last heating season, I went ahead and bought my own propane tank and new local company to partner with. After calling Rymes/Superior to tell them to come get their tank, I was told that there was indeed a pre-pay possibility this past heating season after all - Par for the course with Rymes! The only last thing they have to do is to come and get their propane tank, which I had put right at the end of the driveway for their convenience. I was told that it would take 2 weeks. It is now 4 weeks, and I have called them 3 times. Of course, get a different story every time as to why that tank is still there (some very creative), and I get a promise to call back after contacting the supervisor of that department for more information (note that I have NEVER got this call-back, every single time). So now I have made an appointment on my phone to call them every day at 9 A.M. I get to listen to a new fairy-tale every day on why it isn't gone yet. I can't begin to tell you how incompetent and dysfunctional this company is, and any fix is almost undoable at this point. All I know is that I am master of my own future, no longer hostage to an over-priced, rip-off company that has no idea what they're doing. So on the 15th you had no problem taking the money and I did call your office Tuesday the 23rd and a lady said there was a ticket out should be there that day ! I had an unfortunate event happen with my brother I had to go to the hospital with him got home Thursday afternoon to a empty tank!! So I called spoke to same person that said a ticket was out on Tuesday to tell me I'm not getting it until next Tuesday?!? There was a emergency.. well there was no problem taking my money out the very next day I ordered and have no courtesy to at least call a person to say u have to wait another entire week , now broke with a sick brother here trying to make it off 10 gallons of diesel and the only reaction I get from her is SORRY !!! We had run out of propane due to a stuck gauge which the technician acknowledged. When I called Rymes, they told me since we ran out of propane, we would need a leak test. Ok, I understand. The technician came, filled the tanks but NEVER did a leak test. We were with him outside the entire time. I even inquired "do you need to do a leak test"....his response "you don't need a leak test, your outta propane (as he shook the tank)". when we received the bill, there was a $75 charge for the leak test!! I called the office and the manager only emailed me telling me a test was done and I'm responsible for the $75 charge. It wasn't done but she didn't want to hear it! Very disturbing!! The tech lied on paper saying he had done it. If by law they are responsible for doing that test THEN DO IT! I'm refusing to pay the charge because it's a down right lie!! read more

I received a prompt appointment with Paul K. He was very professional and courteous. He did his service and clean up after himself. He also explained how to operate the fire place in a safe way. I had these snakes deliver to my house as well. They would bleed the tank before refilling filling it. I only have one appliance I use for the propane & apparently they didn't feel it was worth their time to come fill it every so often unless they could do a complete fill of the tank. I caught them doing this on several occasions & when I called to complain I got nothing but excuses. They claimed you had to let "some gas out " in order to fill it.. well the tank is on the far end of the house from my den & they're small leak was so bad that it would entirely fill my house with a thick foul stench.Even with my windows CLOSED I could still smell it He would literally stand there just draining the damned thing. read more

Unlike the very unfortunate and terrible experience that the other reviewer had that never should have happened, I have found Rymes to be very good to deal with. When we switched over to having a total of 5 gas appliances, Rymes was very accommodating in changing out the two 11 gallon tanks to a 500 gallon tank even though it involved significant work in having to use a come-along attached to a tree to get the bigger tank into position. They also did a good job hooking up the new gas range. Deliveries are always prompt and billing is seamless and they gi e a discount when paying within 10 days, I think it is. I have to agree these people are snakes. We put in a new tank 4 yrs ago. They own it , they fill it ,they check it? This past issue they filled it and we smelled gas a few days later and noticed it went from 60% to 50% in 2 days. They told us to shut it off and they would be there the next day. ok its the winter and I dont want my pipes to freeze. Well we told them how to get in the house to reset appliances, because we were not going to be there. I was waiting to hear from them,nothing. Then I saw a charge on my credit card for service which they told me there would be no charge. I called and they said they went in to house to check appliances. They totally lied about going in house, I have cameras and motion detectors all over the place. Nothing never in there Dont trust what they say their stories change RUN... you dont have to stay with them another company will buy the tank from them. They are responsible for everything underground with tank to the house!!! read more

I have been a customer of Rymes for 20+ years, all of the employees are exceedingly pleasant. I have always checked competitors prices and Rymes is most often the lowest. The discount when paid within 10 days of delivery is a great deal, if not the 30 day net is convenient when your on a budget.Over the years, they have been very responsive to our needs.
