The 2nd time I've had a septic tank pumped so I went into this somewhat naively. Guys showed up 3 hours early; will admit that they were courteous. Full disclosure: I haven't had the septic tank pumped in 10+ years so I knew there might be issues. They quoted me $495 but upon arrival I could see a possible bait & switch building up. 1st, no riser so that would cost me extra (doubling the price). By the time they lifted the cover off the tank it had become a major catastrophe -- they told me it needed all sorts of extra work lest I need to have a new drain field put in, etc. etc. So to make things right they said $2,950 (6x the quote) to complete the pumping, back pump field lines and add a rear T baffle. I probably have more $ than brains so I told them to get it done. If you plan to use them I would suggest to ask them all of the possible upcharges that may be tacked on once they are on-site. read more

Will tell you one price but come out and give you a way higher price. Writing this review for my neighbor. Rylander septic came out to my elderly neighbor's house and once tank was opened, they added an extreme amount unto what was first quoted which was $425 then went up to $3,100 my elderly neighbor said it was too high then they went down to $2,650.00. They did not replace the drain field as they stated needed to be replaced which in fact did not need to be replaced. My neighbor has been fighting to get a refund from them without success. read more

We considered using Rylander Septic Service to pump our septic tank & inspect our system because they were listed as the last company the previous home owner used to pump it according to county records, & the system was in good condition at that time (5 years ago). I was at first really hesitant, due to their google reviews/ratings. When choosing a company to work on our homes I am extremely picky! I usually utilize Google, & two other sites to check reviews, ratings, and complaint history before making a decision. Although this company had an A+ rating on one site, & no reviews on the other, their google reviews weren't the best. This lead to me calling 20+ other companies to get pricing for my septic pumping & inspection. The prices, reviews, & feedback from the compaines were simply all over the place. I could tell that this is an industry with alot of dishonest busines owners, price gougers, & "low ball" bait & switchers (the the bait & switch copanies give you a phone quote of $150-$200 & even advertise this on their sites however almost all customers end up paying $600-$1k+ according to reviews). Some of the ones with the highest reviews were price gougers, with initial prices that were ridiculously high, like $850+ to pump & inspect, then of course there many be unknown problems that could send our final bill up well over $1k-2k. Finally I decided to call Rylander Septic Service. The owner Xavier answered, his price was very reasonable $390 as of 7/22/22 & included inspecting the system (not as low as the bait & switchers, nor as high as the price gougers). He was very knowledgeable, & able to answer all the questions I had. He was able to get me on his schedule in a short period of time. When his guys came out they discovered that our baffle T was deteriorating & gave us a very reasonable price to replace it, the tank was otherwise still in good condition, & the drain lines were functioning properly. I am very happy I decided to give them a chance! No bait & switch, no price gouging, no up sell, a good & through inspection that discovered a legitimate proplem that could have caused major problems down the line if not corrected. Had these guys pump our tank 5 years ago. GREAT job, and low cost. About 2 weeks ago, I called to schedule a routine tank pump out. Had me scheduled for Thursday at 9am. 10am rolled around and I decided to call...did sound like an answering service person who had no idea what I was calling about. Took my name and number. No surprise, I received no call even after a day had passed. Have another company coming today. Rylander went from 5 stars to 1, in my book. Won't be calling them in the future. read more

I called these guys after we got our Jonesboro house back. We used this company years ago with great results, so I figured we'd give them a shot. I wanted to get our septic tank pumped and a riser installed. They quoted a price and it that was the price that I paid. I had a septic backup and when I called them, they were booked. I quickly negotiated an emergency price and they came out the same day and quickly serviced my septic tank and found a broken pipe. They scheduled a follow up to fix the pipe within 2 business days and gave me a temp fix to get through until then. Their technicians were professional and very personable. Today, September 24, 2018 my husband called around 5 different companies to try and get someone out to pump our tank as it was backing up into our tub downstairs. My husband spoke to a very polite and knowledgeable woman who answered the phone which answered his questions and concerns, and who also began the smooth process of getting our problem resolved. My husband then spoke to Mr Xavier who informed us of the time we would expect the guys to show up. When the alotted time came, true to Xavier's word, two guys showed up within the time window. These guys, Bush and Anthony were very likable right off. They werent all about just hurrying up and getting out of there, even though I know I wouldve wanted to...lol...The guys worked fast and hard,dripping sweat from the amount of energy being put into the job. Both Bush and Anthony answered any questions we had without hesitation, explained the process as we stood and watched these two hard workers amaze us. Bush remarked that they wanted to be sure everything was working properly before they left but did not rush or seem to want to take short cuts. Im pretty sure had it been any other set of workers, they might have given me some sideways looks from my curiosity and questions, but Bush and Anthony wasn't fazed by it. These two workers were very down to earth, yet professional with their work and manner. When it came time for the bill, it was true to what was quoted us, but we did get extra service so of course we expected that to be added. Even still, this company was cheaper than the others we had called for septic tank service. Before the guys left, they attempted to clean up the driveway but I insisted on doing it so they could get on out of there and be done as they deserved a break for doing such a wonderful job with the pumping and clearing out our cleanout pipes. Needless to say, I will be using this company again without hesitation. I will also be referring this company to anyone and everyone.
