After some BS about how expensive it is to clean pants, I was offered my money back, if I would take the review down. I said I didn't want my money back. I wanted them to do the right thing and asked how much they should have charged for pants. After some hemming and hawing, I was told $18 and but again told if I came by the store I would get $10 or my money back, if I took the review down. I again asked if prices would be posted but got no answer. As an aside, I checked with other dry cleaners in the neighborhood and the price for cleaning a pair of pants is below even $18.

They pick up/drop off for free and on more than one occasion they have swung by to pick up my items despite it not being the designated pickup day--so convenient! Everything is ready in a few days. They sewed a button on my husband's pants free of charge, in about twenty seconds. And when I requested some extra plastic clothing bags, they gave me those free as well despite my insistence at wanting to pay for them. There are majorly mixed reviews for the other cleaners in the area, such as Go Green, and Solo Clean is definitely better priced than Excelsior. Really nice and accommodating people, definitely recommend.

They have very convenient hours and service availability. I brought in a few items for dry cleaning…read moreand alterations, and I was able to be seen in less than 15 minutes. The dry cleaning items had a quick turnaround, just a day or so, while the alterations took about a week (which is also quick). Everyone who assisted me was friendly and attentive. The dry cleaning was competitively priced, but I did feel that the alterations were a bit high. I don't have much to compare with, other than evening gowns, but I was surprised that taking in the waist on a pair of pants was more expensive than those gowns in the past. The payment system was a bit confusing as well. I'll admit, I did not notice the signs inside the establishment that indicated "cash only," so that is my fault, but the electronic invoice that I was sent made it appear as though I could pay with card online. The website also does not have clear indication about payment types accepted. In a day and age when not many people carry cash or have paper checks anymore, this could be a drawback for people utilizing this business.

John provides pristine and high quality care every single time. My clothes come back perfectly clean, pressed, and handled with real professionalism. Reliability like this is rear! I love how I get compliments on my shirts, just the other day 4/4 someone asked was my shirt brand new. They said that they loved how my shirt looks. The services requested were laundry with mild starch, sometimes placed on hanger or sometimes pressed and folded and placed in a box waiting for pick up. My pants are always pressed with a perfect crease. The value is great here and not over charged. I went to a neighboring cleaners once because I was in a rush, they charged more and the shirt came back dirty. I guess it is good to know what the competitor is doing but lesson learned, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Inspire more, Yelp more!

I don't know what is cashmere, wool or cotton, the lady that works here is so nice. And she helps me figure it out. They have very good prices with regard to bulk sweaters and other items, which is one of the reasons I come here. Since I bargain-scoure for clothes, having to pay more to launder garb than it costs is just way too much for me to get many head around. Also, they have plenty for washers and dryer's for those people who want to do laundry on their own, but also decent prices for wash and fold for those who might be a little time constraint, or otherwise unable to figure it out on their own The lighting is circa 1970s in terms of lumens, and the buzzing fluorescents (that you probably still see in former iron curtain stores) adds to the mystique. The temperature is comfortable. The seating can be a little sparse The one thing I really like about this place is that it is conveniently located next to Dunkin' Donuts, Carvel, a deli, and the supermarket. For those people who like to multitask, it's nice to be able to do your shopping, get your laundry done, enjoy ice cream and then--after feeling pretty guilty about having the ice cream--go buy a coffee to increase your endorphin levels and not so bad about it all.
