I left a review for Rydal Fuel on this site many years ago. I am returning to leave another 5 star review. In our recent single digit cold snap, my furnace stopped working. Of course, it was in the evening and required service outside of normal business hours. Rydal sent their very knowledge tech, Andrew, to my rescue in about one hour after I called them. I typically see Andrew twice a year when I have my units serviced. He is a true asset to Rydal! In a short period of time, he had my furnace back to normal. I had been using a different fuel company for 43 years and was never bowled over by the service. When my oil burner would not work on the first cold weather day this year, I called the old company and was told it would be 10 days or so before my problem could be addressed. I pleaded with the company stating I had just come off Chemotherapy and was rather rundown. I was told I'd have to wait. Normally I would have done so...but in desperation, I got in touch with Rydal Fuel, very, very much to my great satisfaction. My problem was taken care of immediately... Intelligently, thoroughly, and compassionately. Rydal is NOW my Oil company of choice. I am thrilled that such an organization still exists. read more

Rydal Fuel is very knowledgeable with oil heat, even older systems like mine. (Thank you!) They are very responsive, and I recommend them 100%, especially if you have persistent or troublesome problems with your oil-fueled system. The serviceman that came to my home was efficient, capable, and polite. They are very competent in diagnosing any issues you are having with oil heating. read more

Buyer beware! This company is as illegitimate as it gets. I prepaid for oil before prices spiked and then when I called for a delivery they claimed that they had been delivering it periodically without my knowledge. The only problem was that I did not see any changes on my FULLY FUNCTIONAL gauge and their story did not add up. When we tried to settle the dispute they were extremely rude and insulting. The company seems to consist of one man, who has a lot to learn about running a business and customer service. There are plenty of good fuel companies in the area - don't use Rydal! read more

Rydal Fuel is an excellent company and the best installer I know. I have used them several times to install hot water heaters. If you get home depot to install a hot water heater you can expect 5-10 years of performance. Rydal Fuel installs Bradford White and you can get up to 20 years of performance. Ignore bad review that says this company is illegitimate. This is a great company. read more

What do we need from an HVAC company or basically any company? Knowledge, ability, availability and, above all, honesty! You will find all of these from Rydal Fuel. We had a major problem with our HVAC system which was purchased Clyde Walton Inc. This problem had the potential to kill my entire family with carbon monoxide fumes. This problem spanned five years of trying to get resolution but the problem continued to worsen (our heat exchanger was rusting internally and large flakes of rust filled the service ports). We asked several other companies to try to diagnose and repair the problem and all shied away because they didn't want to get involved with a problem caused by another company, however, Rydal Fuel came to our rescue for which we will be eternally grateful!! They worked with the furnace manufacturer and replaced the entire unit (less the oil burner). It was determined that an installation error caused the entire problem. They were not afraid when many other companies were and they have been by our side since that time. Also, we had Horizon Services service our AC because of the great deal they had of $99.00 service and the second year was free. When the second free service was performed, they told us that we had problems with our AC which would require substantial cost to repair. We then had Rydal Fuel come out to look at the AC system and it was found to be fine - no repairs needed. We contacted Horizon Services and they investigated and said their technicians gauges apparently were not calibrated and refunded our money. Do you buy that story? We don't! Again, honesty is of the utmost importance and you will find honesty with Rydal Fuel. read more

Rydal Fuel just converted my heating system from oil to natural gas and I must say it was alot less painful than I thought it was going to be. The new equipment takes up alot less room in the basement then the other stuff and they did a great job keeping my carpets clean and cleaning out all the old equipment/debris. Definitely thorough and they helped me alot with all the rebates and credits as well which I appreciate big time. read more

There really is no way to convey my allegiance to Rydal Fuels other than to try to explain. We had a furnace installed by another company several years ago. That furnace was rusting away from the inside out since it was a year old. We didn't know Rydal Fuels at that time. Ultimately, after significant effort, the manufacturer agreed to replace the furnace free of charge and offered to pay an HVAC company to remove the existing furnace and install the replacement. We did not want the original HVAC company to do the work for obvious reasons. However, finding a company that would help us was very difficult. None of the companies contacted wanted to get involved. However, with Joe from Rydal Fuels we found empathy and confidence that the matter could be remedied. He assured us that he would do the job and that the result would be as it should have been five years before. He basically is our Hero!!! His employees are every bit as diligent and knowledgeable as Joe. It is difficult to express the amount of relief Rydal Fuels gave everyone in our family!!! Rydal Fuels is our HVAC company for life!
