After reading many glowing reviews here on yelp, I had to try Rybrew. Went with GF last night. The first thing that's striking is the reasonable prices for drinks. They have a very large selection of microbrews and conventional beers to choose from. The prices are ridiculously low compared to what you would pay at a standard pub. I think I paid $3.50 for a bottle of Victory Golden Monkey. Most other places would have charged $6 or $7. It's basically self service. You chose a drink from the cooler, order a sandwich, pay, then they bring it to your table. I ordered Shrimp and Corn Chowder, which was superb. It was flavorful, and had lots of small shrimp in it. It wasn't too salty, either (like soup can often be.) I got a Charlotte sandwich, which was sliced turkey breast (which tasted fresh and house-made as opposed to processed lunchmeat). The thinly sliced turkey breast was paired with cheddar, pickles, red onion, tomato, and honey mustard. It was delicious. It was moist, flavorful, and very tasty. Also, the place appeared to be very clean and well-run. The staff were pleasant and helpful. For around 25 bucks, two people can have a good beer, a great sandwich, and maybe a soup or side to boot. Where are you going to beat that? Rybrew lived up to the yelp hype, and I'll definitely be back. read more

Ordered the Cuban and I must say, I liked it more than Panera Bread's. And I'm a big fan of Panera Bread. Staff is friendly. Especially knowledgable about the fantastic beer selection. Sean(?) is particularly helpful when crafting a six pack (he's the one with glasses and a beard). The only suggestion I'd give is to add a suggestions box (I'm a sucker for those things), yet at the same time I can't think of any suggestions to make them better. Rybrew has a great selection of beer and the potential to have good food, but the employees do not take direction well. This is not the place to go if you have a food allergy. On three separate occasions when I've asked them to not put something on my sandwich, they've done it anyway. It's happened enough times that I will no longer eat there. I've never been much of a sandwich eater until Rybrew showed up in my neighborhood! I go quite often (usually about three times each week) for the Napa (grilled) and sometimes Rybread. I don't really drink alcohol, but they have a large variety of beers for those that do. The service and atmosphere are amazing! I'm so thankful for this addition to Brewerytown! read more

Awesome sandwich shop!! I have been here multiple times, have tried many sandwiches, and have never been disappointed. Every sandwich is made with love, I know this because each sandwich takes about twenty minutes to make. That's honestly the only downfall about Ryebrew. They also have a great beer selection which is also a great way to waste some time there. Oh an up stairs they also have a shuffle board table! Excellent food!! I have had both sandwiches and salads here and everything I have ordered has been wonderful. They have very fresh ingredients which makes their food that much better. I started working down the road from this coffee shop about a month ago. Rybrew has THE BEST ice coffee I've ever had. Usually, I put a little creamer in my coffee but their coffee is so good I just drank it black. I also loved that they had veggie options for the food selection, which was hella tasty too. Delicious sandwiches & crazy selection of brews. Match made in heaven. I've eaten twice. Once had the NY panini & then had the special which was a Cuban sandwich panini. That should be on the menu. The sandwiches are large & well-priced. My only criticism is lack of side dishes to go with said sandwich. I don't want chips. They also don't serve u a pickle with it. C'mon. Gotta have a pickle! I got some sort of orange blossom beer when I was there last weekend- I picked it solely for the cute bottle and that it cost $2.25, and it was awesome. An important establishment on West Girard, Rybrew has made-to-order sandwiches (hot and cold) and a sophisticated, but predictable, bottle list. No rare gems here, but reasonable prices for reasonable expectations. The Nonstop up the street is cheaper for some brands, but doesn't nearly have the variety. Good spot. read more

I must say I was quite hesitant to try this place since I have not had great experiences at their sister establishment but I was quite pleasantly surprised. The service was great and accommodating. They have lots of beer to chose from for carryout or just to go along with your sandwich (very tasty). Even have a little outdoor seating in front where you can watch the trolleys go by. read more

I want to like Ryebrew more for a 5... beer selection is nice put pricey, though they always have a beer of the month for 9.99 and I've never been disappointed by it. They also have new breweries taste testing on certain nights. I also wish they'd have better vegetarian options. Hummus sandwiches and portobello paninis are tired. It's amazing to walk to this place and suddenly be in a Mecca for hipsters. The bottles are a bit expensive but that's okay for the variety and convenience. The sandwiches are a little expensive for what they are, but worth it to me for the reliability of good ingredients and consistency that the sandwich is the same each time I order. The cupcakes are the same - a bit overpriced but delish. Overall, it's a yummy sandwich shop which I happily pay a bit extra for because I know I will enjoy the food and experience. read more

Not really impressed by my sandwich. I don't know, I must be in the minority. I got the turkey meatloaf sandwich and it wasn't bad... it just wasn't awesome. It basically tasted like I was eating bread, ketchup, and cheese. Not bad if you're a vegetarian however, I wanted something a little more meaty. The service was great and quick. The space was open and bright. I was on lunch break so there was no way that I could have grabbed a beer, even though I could tell that they had an extensive selection- that's why I'm giving this place an extra star. Rybrew happens to be right around the corner from my job, and I see that you can call in an order so I will be trying it again. Maybe I'll try something that doesn't consist of so much bread (since meatloaf is pretty much bread itself). I'm excited to update my review later. read more

Rybrew, I love you. My go-to for lunch or dinner on any day of the week. Stellar beer selection, great sandwiches and salads, Joe's iced tea, and good coffee. My favorite menu item is the Austin salad. Also enjoy sitting at the communal table near the front window, which is great for neighborhood watching. read more

Sandwiches teeter a little on the pricey side, just because I don't find them filling on their own & there's nothing else to eat as a side dish. I don't want potato chips, but especially not with a hot sandwich. I only get hot sandwiches I don't make at home, like Cuban. I don't need to go out & eat & $12 turkey deli sandwich. I wish they came up with a way to offer a more filling meal, like potato or pasta salad or something. Fries would be great with a sandwich. Awesome spot. Stumbled upon Rybrew while visiting Philly on a snowy weekend. They had a pretty impressive selection of beers that is sure to have something for even the most discerning critic. Local beers and bottles from across the world were lined up side by side. This is my favorite place to get a sandwich, and its because it's not just your average soup and sandwich place. The selection of beer is large enough to dedicate an entire wall of the restaurant to the brews, and the food is great too. The buffalo on brioche or the Tuscan is where it's at. read more
