TNC Construction was great in helping me fix a hole caused by a woodpecker on the side of my house…read more It was a relatively small project but something I didn't feel totally comfortable with addressing myself, and TNC was able to provide a quick and easy quote based on my description and pictures prior to visiting, and once they came to assess the situation and describe in more detail what needed to be done, aligned very closely to that original quote while explaining clearly why there were a few differences. They finished the project swiftly and allowed me to review for myself before calling it complete, and everything looks as good as new. As mentioned, this was a relatively small project that I was hesitant to do myself but also cognizant of bigger companies/contractors over-charging me, and TNC came through with a completely reasonable and understandable quote/rate and did a great job on fixing the issue. Nearly 4 months to complete, billing errors, and unsatisfactory workmanship - that was my…read moreexperience with New Heights Development, LLC. Initially told the job would take 3-4 weeks. In total, it took 4x longer - 16 weeks. Scheduling was consistently vague, and commitments were unreliable. Extra charges were added to the final invoice for tasks like installing a hood vent and four light fixtures. I was not notified of these additional charges before or during the work, and I only became aware of them upon receiving the final bill. Because this work was completed without prior notice or pricing disclosure, I was not given an opportunity to review the costs or compare prices beforehand. I was charged in full for work that was unsatisfactory, or not completed at all. (See pictures). I was verbally told that I would not be charged full price for certain incomplete work. The final invoice reflected otherwise. Things would be left unfinished for weeks on end. (The old toilet left in the bathroom, shed debris left sitting in the backyard grass). Several items took multiple trips. (Shower surround, door sweep, drywall repair). Some items are still unsatisfactory after multiple attempts. Some of my personal belongings were damaged, for which I received no credit or reimbursement. Contractor noted that they provided work at no charge. Several of those items were either included in the contract or work that was required to repair their work. They added the final payment as a charge to the final invoice. I had to have them correct their billing error. Had I not caught their error - I would have been overcharged. I have not received lien releases, which I requested.

I contracted with EI Kristyn Construction during the summer of 2013 to build an attached two-car…read moregarage to our home in Shelton WA. I had been referred to this company by two of our neighbors who were generally satisfied with the quality of work. Both neighbors warned us about the job-site manner of the owner, Tim Bailey. The project lasted about one month, and I was initially impressed with how Bailey handled the site preparation using his mini-excavator and how he worked through several construction challenges we ran into. However, I was immediately put off by, in my opinion, his excessive use of bad language and how he treated his employees. He was so loud and disruptive that eventually two of our nearby neighbors complained about it to us. In the end, I asked him to leave my property before the job was complete because I had hit my limit on what I was willing to tolerate as acceptable behavior on my property. Although the job was not finished, I paid him the full amount of the contract and was more than willing to incur the additional costs to complete the project in order to get out from under the stress, the drama, the foul language, what I consider to be verbal abuse and general mistreatment of his employees and the overall disruption on my property.

Great local company, I found water dripping from my ceiling on Tuesday morning, called McKinney and…read morethey had an associate out by 1130, completed estimate by the next morning , turns out I had a flapper leak, scheduled a repair on Thursday at 1130! Repairs complete before the afternoon rain! Gotta love a company that moves with such urgency during an emergency! This is the type of local company you should support! They also gave a military discount! Love it! I will continue to use them, I even have a quote coming for a minor shower work!
