My dad had recently transitioned to long term nursing care and I asked for Doug to call me. Ive been in contact with State Farm off and on since August of last year, due to questions about my dad's policies and what to do. Doug did not call me back nor did he even ask about my father once, knowing the sad situation. My father was a loyal customer to Doug Tagler, paying in person for over four decades, along with his siblings and father, with multiple policies. Since I had to cancel policies on my father's behalf due to his situation, he was no longer of any value. Disgusting and disappointing, to say the least. I've lived in California now for over 25 years and never has our Farmer's insurance agent ever treated my family out here this way. Word of mouth is a powerful tool and I will never recommend State Farm to people I care about! Do better, Doug!

I switched to State Farm before…read morethe previous owners retired , and I was assured by Maria( previous co-owner) that the new guy, Jason Barnes, is a great guy. Maria was incorrect, Jason Barnes and his team are PHENOMENAL! I know that you didn't ask but I'm feeling generous so I'll tell you. They're great listeners, professional, personable, knowledgeable, consistent and they anticipate your needs. For example, I just inquired of Deante about life insurance and I had in mind to compare whole life vs term , I didn't have to ask him because he automatically provided the information. He also noticed that my birthday will be tomorrow and wished me a happy birthday in advance and explained premiums are based upon your age when you initially enroll. I talked to Kailyn a few minutes earlier to make my payment in advance of autopay. She was cheerful just like every agent that I've ever spoken to at Mr. Barnes' office. I don't know how Mr. Barnes vets potential employees but he needs to teach this skill to other employers and industries because customer service, including in the medical field is desperately lacking when it comes to hiring people who are emotionally intelligent. I pray that Mr. Barnes becomes prosperous to the extent that he can send his agents on all-expenses paid holidays(vacations). Quality and Customer First Service- I'm here for it!!!

Unfortunately, when my previous agent retired, I was reassigned to Jason Barnes. Since then, my customer service experience has been extremely disappointing. I have never been able to speak directly with my agent, as he is consistently unavailable and does not return calls. Additionally, the staff in the office are not equipped to answer my questions, take accurate messages, or provide timely follow-ups. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I will be switching to Allstate this week--and, regrettably, it appears that no one in that office is concerned about losing a long-standing client.

I am very pleased with Erie. I usually don't review insurance companies but I felt that the one…read morehatred-filled review needed balancing. They have relatively low rates and include competitive car rates with homeowner's policies. They also will insure second vacation homes which is hard to find. I have had 3 payouts, 2 were on auto and they waived my deductible on both because we have pretty good records (probably until the 2 claims this year). They paid a bogus large claim to someone who claimed my dog had bitten them. She did not, according to all witnesses, he ran into her (the dog) and other people while running on a crowded sidewalk and he fell and cut his leg. However, my complaint is that they paid a claim they shouldn't have paid, I guess if an insurance company has to have a fault, that's not a bad one.
