From the moment we met with their representative, we were put at ease with the situation and felt compassionate care. He walked us through the entire process. Explaining the visitation and setup that would welcome family and friends to pay their respects. The cremation and urn were discussed and explained. The visitation was set up perfectly and all who came I believe were comfortable with the arrangements. The day of the burial our representative was there with compassionate service that our entire family appreciated. It was traumatic but done exceptionally. We are glad we chose Ryan. read more

Our funeral director, Eva, listened attentively and responded with intention to respond to our goals and fulfill our needs. She customized my dad's memorial service, the print material and the online experience. She found a way to generate a printed bulletin and prayer leaflet such that the background color pleasantly accented the text. The adjustment of the color saturation and the option to choose the font, size, white space and layout made it easier to read. Eva honored our request to engage online viewers with a short walk-through of the casket space, floral displays and personal tributes at the start of the live stream. We like that those who could not join us are able to go back to the obituary to watch and fast forward through the web link to see the desired segments of the visitation and service. While the facility layout reflects the era when it was built, the team welcomes the opportunity to adjust the furnishings in the gathering spaces to accommodate the goals for the experience. As such, we elected to create more open space by removing some of the chairs. We appreciate the opportunity to have an additional screen for attendees to see the slideshow from various gathering spaces. Additionally, how nice that the photos for the slideshow could be randomly sorted and displayed to maximize engagement of viewers. We received various compliments about the in-person and online experience from family and friends. Our three-part memorial event involved a light luncheon. It was a perk to have the easy-access refrigerator with multiple beverage options, along with the coffee bar, plastic wear and paper goods for the light meal. It relieved my stress level knowing that Ryan Funeral Service picked up and set out the food from the local grocery store at no additional charge. Timing and travel to the burial site was smooth and easy. We elected to have the funeral service use their casket cart in lieu of pallbearers. Eva was attentive and timely to ensure that all those present could easily relate and partake in the interment service. Upon conclusion, we were presented with a tasteful tote of the print materials and goods involved. We look forward to returning to Ryan for our forthcoming needs. If Ryan Funeral Home hasn't replaced its sound system by the time you are considering them and you plan to livestream or record your service, look for an alternative with state of the art audio-video live-streaming capability. In addition, the link the Ryan Funeral Home provided for the livestream took me and others to a screen where I read that, at one point I and as many as 31 others were waiting, but that's where I waited to be admitted for 45 minutes while I left phone messages with three Ryan Funeral Home staff about the problem. Finally, someone from Ryan called. He was helpful, but admitted that their link for the livestream wasn't working. The interior space is very well situated for any kind of memorial service. There are comfortable couches, in addition to the row of chairs. It is a very comfortable space. For my relative's service, there was a well lit area for pictures and memories. The flowers were arranged well with the urn. The staff have been thoughtful and attentive to my grieving family. Holding doors and being a background presence during the service was greatly appriecated. read more
