He was my dentist in the beginning but been toss around to different dentist in office. I really preferred him.

As a previous Dr. Webb patient for the last 20 years, I will be honest. The first experience I had with the office while Dr. Webb was on vacation was great. It was in 2025 and I paid out of pocket. After that I paid for my service before I had it, missed one appointment was charged $75.00, accepted that. I canceled one the day before and was charged another $75.00. I asked for my medical records received them and was sent a bill. I do understand with merging into another office comes new protocols. As a person who has worked in healthcare for the past 30 years I understand the changes. I decided I will return back to the old ways of doing things when healthcare was exciting to the those who loved what they do. I wish Dr. Webb the best! read more

Dr. Boylan is the best dentist that I've ever had. As soon as you walk in the office the atmosphere is welcoming. The staff are friendly and they call you promptly to be seen. Everything is explained clearly about the treatment and the cost, insurance and business that's suggested like"ICare" which allows installment payments. Lastly, the staff get to know you and the humor including Dr. Boylan relaxes you. I highly recommend this practice. Doc just added cosmetic surgery. I am a patient on Lasken Rd. In Virginia Beach Close to the oceanfront. However, I reside in Norfolk. Another office is in Chesapeake, Virginia. That's how good Dr. Boylan and the staff are. read more

I've had a couple bad experiences recently with dentist so I was nervous to come here but I love this place, Grace and Ryan are amazing and kind. I made an appointment because of constant pain in a front tooth that I had for over a month, I wanted to make sure everything was okay. I had a second appointment with Ryan for him buff my teeth because of drill marks left from another practice. I got a little nervous and told them I wanted to wait before I had it done. read more

Its clear they do not care about patients (aka customers). I asked staff several times to ask Dr. Boylan call me, no call. I wrote on my bill I sent back with check "I will not be back"; no response. This is just beyond words. I was having a crown worked on, and the number of other employee's stopping by to ask questions was unbelievable; where's this, where's that, one asked the assistant about a credit card charge she made and what it was for! Seriously!!!! All distracting to someone working in my mouth. This place even seemed to have messed my wife's root canal, and she was in pain, and was told to go elsewhere to find out what the problem was! I went for cleaning, first appt. of the day, and after siting there 20 minutes, getting into the chair that had mechanical problems, was move to another. Then she was upset i guess because I could not open my mouth wide enough; well, it was wide enough the previous day for crown procedure! Then she grilled on my medications; I was just upset my now. I felt she was stalling and did not want to do the work. I could not think clearly by this point, plus, medications have nothing to do with a cleaning to begin with, there were very behind schedule, I just got up and left since NOTHING had started yet, and it was 40 minutes past my appt. time. I should have been done by now. They lost 2 customers due to no response. Guess they don't care about improving customer experience and patient safety. read more

I have no complaints about Dr Boyan himself, my complaint is with the office staff, mainly billing. In 2019 I went to this practice about some upper teeth I was having issues with. I was giving a quote after sitting in the waiting room for well over an hour, while they worked out with my insurance company. She came back with a quote, that my part for extractions, and scaling of all four quadrants would be about $1000. I got the extractions, paid my part. Later went for the scaling, I did receive the scaling up right side upper and lower, when she got to the right side, she did a general cleaning and stated that side didn't need it as bad, and she had another client waiting. I still paid my part of the quote, and didn't complain. A year later I receive a bill, and have continued every year since. Now here we are 2022, and I receive a letter threating to take me to collections. I will post on facebook and see how many others have had same issues. Again, no complaint concerning the dentist. read more

My daughter never had fillings before and all of a sudden found she needed 3 cavities she was nervous and afraid of getting shots,DR Boylan assured her he could use the laser and she wouldn't feel any pain. My daughter was so surprised yes it is true she had 3 fillings done with no anthesia and yes NO PAIN! His staff was amazing and so was DR. Boylan. I had to get some work done while I was vacationing in the area and my buddy recommended this practice. The staff was great and they were able to get me in and out in a hurry. The place is well kept and the technology is better than any I've experienced elsewhere. If you need a root canal Dr. Boylan's your guy. If you haven't had a root canal I would recommend looking into one. It's a good time. read more

After just finishing 4 months of chemo therapy, this dentist was willing to pull my tooth. They were so very kind and gentle and without a doubt one of the BEST dentist I've ever had! I would highly recommend them, my boyfriend is now using them too so you should too! read more

NEVER again. I literally waited in the waiting room for over an hour but to absolutely no avail. My appointment was at 3:45pm and I will arrived at 3:30pm. When I arrived there were eight people already sitting down. "Wow, what a busy dentistry, I'll wait, how long could the wait possibly be" is what I thought to myself. However I find it funny how people who came in after me were served, and people who complained of the wait were immediately served (ALL CAUCASIAN) Ridiculous. Hate to play the race card but why is it four people in the lobby right now and three out of the four are African American (including myself). As of right now it is 4:45pm mind you I have waited for exactly an hour and 15 minutes, absolutely unacceptable. Never again. I will stick with Greenbrier Dental (1059 Eden Way, Chesapeake, Virginia). Also, the police were in and out of this dentistry. Who needs Chesapeake Police at a dentistry. Definitely seems like a shady place, would not recommend. Customer service is piss poor to say thee absolute least, no apology for the wait, nothing. Ridiculous. I'm like really sitting here talking to the front desk receptionist and she is acting pure clueless. This office is sad, never again. They lost a patient that they could have very well had. To top it off there is a dental hygienist standing right in front of me on his phone. When I say never again I totally mean it! Any questions, please contact me! Never seen such sorry service in my life, and just look how Dr. Boylan responds to his reviews, totally unprofessional. Mind you police presence is still here. This is absolutely pathetic, definitely no Konikoff. Guess when you have to park on the grass, what can you really expect? I feel sorry for every single individual that works at this dump. Alright, I digress. Wow now a Virginia State Trooper walks in. I cannot make this up, what is really happening back there? This is almost comical oh my goodness, what a joke. No wonder I never heard of this dentist before. This is what happens when you google "cheap dentists in Chesapeake, Virginia". You totally get what you pay for. I am seriously done with this review now and this dentistry for that matter. Mind you I was only getting my teeth looked at (sorry last thing). I just had my first filling with Dr. Boylan and the process was easy and painless. I didn't feel anything the whole time and Grace and Dr. Boylan were making me laugh which was comforting. My family and I have been his patients for a while now and we really love going there. All of the hygienists are incredibly nice and gentle too. I highly recommend Ryan Boylan Denistry. When I arrived I was a little upset because things were a little messed up. This was only because I came from an office of theirs that was closing and correct information was not forwarded to the office. I truly want to thank all of the staff for helping me today. Things went a little longer than expected but Dr. Boylan put me at ease. His staff is very professional and helpful in all of the matters that are involved in the procedures. I would recommend this practice to anyone. If they run a little behind please know that they are probably working on something that was unexpected in a procedure and just a little wait won't hurt in the long run. read more

He staff is horrible. Because they missed build and added on something that wasn't supposed to be added on for work they did not do it was caught on it and we said that we weren't going to pay it and we said we're going to another on the dental office because we knew that they had done that work. We received bills in the mail now about our children's teeth I think that they did not do and it saddens me . We been there for a while over nine years and never had an issue with billing never had an issue about paying never had any issue about office personnel they've had six people in the last year change out in the office you don't know who's who no one ever knows what's going on but I'm going to go to 10 on your side about mine . Best dentist office I've been to! Like the majority of people, I dread going to the dentist, but Dr. Boylan and his staff really know how to ease that anxiety. I was super nervous to have my front tooth fixed but I am so glad I finally did because Dr. Boylan did an amazing job on my veneers! He has the most advanced/modern technology & has never had to refer me elsewhere. I went in for a new patient exam and had my teeth cleaned by Chrissy and she was done in 15 minutes. I looked at the clock when she was finished and had asked if the clock was correct and she said yes! Wow! I have been getting my cleaned for 30 years and every 6 months. I have also worked in the dental industry for over 13 years and have never had a cleaning that fast. The Hygenist always takes an hour to do a cleaning. I say beware!!! Do not go to this office if all they do is Collect $250 worth of my insurance money for 15 minutes. Never Going Back! read more
