The salon is tucked inside a small mall, and you have to go up the stairs to find it, but once you do, you'll be pleasantly surprised. The space is huge, clean, and filled with natural sunlight, offering a great view. My visit started with a relaxing shampoo and a little massage. Then, Andy worked his magic on my hair. He did an excellent job bringing my lifeless locks back to life, finishing with some beautiful styling at the ends. Overall, it was an above-average experience, and I'll definitely be back.

I was so impressed when I came here for my perm/haircut that I wanted to share about it. They had so many safety measures throughout: 1) Temperature check to enter 2) Hand sanitizer provided 3) Staff wearing gloves + face shields 4) Plastic dividers between seats 5) Single-use plastic coverings for each chair replaced for each appointment and 6) UV light disinfecting "ovens"/boxes for all equipment. It made me feel safe and comfortable throughout my entire 2-hour appointment there. I don't think he was prepared for my hair texture because I'm Hispanic and have naturally curly hair. It only surprised him, did not deter him from doing a good job. I've been on the hunt for a new salon recently and received recommendations to try this place, particularly for a men's haircut by either Jason or Justin. Since Jason's schedule worked for me today, I decided to give it a shot. Walking in, I wasn't entirely sure what to expect because the reviews I'd seen were either 1-star or 5-star. So, I approached it with an open mind, arriving a few minutes early, and to my delight, they were ready to get started. I was ushered straight to the shampoo station, and the lady who washed my hair was incredibly friendly and easy to chat with. I'm looking forward to resuming our conversation on my next visit. In my journey to find the perfect haircut, I've hopped around different hairstylists based on both quality and likability. Interestingly enough, I ran into my former stylist, Jen, here. It was a pleasant surprise to see her again. Jen has always been open and friendly, and I'm happy to have her here. I can't speak for the other reviews, but I've always had great experiences with Jen. However, today was all about Jason, and he was fantastic. Jason is bilingual, which was a plus for me as my Korean language skills have flatlined over the years. We could communicate easily, and it was a relief to have someone understand exactly what I wanted in a haircut. I simply told him I wanted it 'really short on the sides and short on top but not too short because I like to brush it towards my right.' He nodded and got it immediately, and during our enjoyable conversation, he ensured my sides were cut to the right length, double-checked with me, and did the same for the top. Throughout the cut, he frequently checked in with me, making sure he was 'getting warmer,' until everything was just right. Afterward, he even taught me how to blow-dry, wax, and take care of my hair - probably after spotting a shrub of my white hairs during the cut. It was truly enjoyable to have a conversation with someone who understood my preferences while giving me a great haircut. My overall experience at this salon has been excellent. I may be a bit biased because Jen used to be my go-to hairstylist back at Amitie, but I have complete confidence in her. To those who may have had negative experiences in the past at this salon, I encourage you to give this place another try. After talking with the hairstylists (not only here), I've come to appreciate the challenges they face in truly grasping what each client wants, especially in such a short time. Our individual views on what looks good on us can be quite subjective, making hairstyling a very challenging career that heavily relies on feedback and reviews which can make or break them. Plus, hair doesn't grow back or correct itself quickly, so the margin for error is small... I wholeheartedly recommend giving this place a chance. I appreciate that Soyoun and Michelle took the time to genuinely listen to my concerns and communicate on what process would result in a uniform color throughout my hair so it looked natural. My appointment was with Michelle, and I liked that she was attentive when cutting and coloring my hair. I didn't feel it was rushed (if you want a quick cut this might not be what you're looking for). I regret not bringing a book to read!.. I was there for 2.5 hours due to the coloring process, as they had to remove the dyed color from half my hair before coloring my whole head. When my back started to ache from sitting, Michelle noticed and brought a cushion to prop behind my back! The hair wash was gentle and the brief scalp massage felt greattt. There are hair salons where my neck feels strained a minute into the hairwash. No neck pain here! The salon is spacious. There were two other customers, and we were spread out to different areas of the salon. Throughout my appointment(color, cut, wash, blowdry), not once was I asked to remove my mask. The staff always had their masks on too. I plan to come back to Juun Hair. The atmosphere was very comfortable and pleasant.

Got a perm from here, and I was super happy with the results. Also, I called a day in advance to…read moremake the appointment, and they were able to fit me in the next day. Price was super good for all of the services. THE PERM: Be forewarned, they will tell you which type of perm you should do. For me, since my hair is fine, they advised a regular perm. They also advised that I do a deep conditioning treatment beforehand, which I agreed to. That took an extra 20 minutes or so before the perm, and they gave me 5 weeks of additional little packets to use each week. The whole process was performed by the main stylist who mainly only spoke Korean (and needed a translator at times) and her assistant. The stylist also gave me a little hair trim before the perm. Then the perm itself took about 2 hours, including washing and drying my hair afterwards. Overall I was in the salon about 3 hours. Now, 2 weeks out from the perm, I can say it's equal to much higher priced perms that I've gotten in the past. Overall I am super happy with the results. I think in total, the price was around $180 for the perm and the conditioning treatment. I tipped each of the two ladies $20 and so the total was $220.
