But I was looking for another developer to complete the project for an app that I believe has big potential. So I contacted Hidden Brains last week about this startup project and I spoke to a gentleman about my project and he suggested I meet with one of their tech guys who happened to be in the area. So I met with the tech guy last Friday with the goal of learning more about Hidden Brains and about showing him the issues we need to be fixed on our app. The guy I am sure is a very good team lead but I was disappointed when instead of being happy that I brought this project to him to bid on and despite me showing him additional development work I need to be done after this, he still tried getting me to commit to paying Hidden Brains between 3-5 thousand dollars just to look at the code and give me a price. An hour later, I messaged the sales guy to let him know what happened and that I didn't think I would be able to work with Hidden Brains because the model of me paying just to get a quote is not something I am used to nor did I feel that was the right thing to do. I told them in their industry people look at the code and then give a price and they don't' charge to look at the code! I was also quite surprised to hear the tech guy quoting me rates of $50 an hour. I even told him that I know I can hire my own ios developer for that price here in the USA. Anyway, I mentioned this to the sales guy last week and told him that I know developer prices as I have another large project in Pune. Anyway, I gave them the code and asked for a quote..they came back and said to make another app similar to mine but not mine that would cost $160,000 USD for android and ios. My app is different than what they were referring to me I told them that giving me a price quote for another app that was similar was of zero value to me. I told them most of our app is completed and that that quote didn't mean anything and I also told him that the pricing he quoted is what I can get from San Francisco developers. In essence he totally scared me away from using Hidden Brains. So at this point, I got very turned off. Then they told me that I can do a contract with the Indian company at lower pricing but I told him the only reason I was even contacting Hidden Brains is that Hidden Brains has a USA Presence. If the work being done is by the team in India and I am just signing with a USA based entity, I didn't see the reason why the pricing was double. Their response was just to say that they have large clients like Caterpillar paying that and that is the way it is. The guy was condescending in his tone and didn't care about getting my project. He had no valid good explanation about the price differential and I told him I only work with Indian companies that have a USA presence and none of them charge double the pricing. He didn't care. Then told me he would have his team look into the code, which I thought they were doing anyway...why else would he ask me to send him the code last Friday?? Then he asked me to commit...I said Commit to what??? I cannot commit to anything until I get pricing. After much discussion about committing...he wanted to know how much I was willing to pay for the project and at what rate? None of this makes any sense! I don't think these guys understand that when you get quotes from companies, companies give pricing quotes. They don't ask the customers to give them pricing they will pay. Nor does anyone in the USA commit to anything without getting a quote. Why was he asking me to commit to an hourly price when that price is meaningless? At this point, I was very turned off with Hidden Brains and I emailed their CEO and it's been 3 days so far and I haven't heard one thing from him. They just don't get how to operate in the United States and I would stay clear of using them.

Now the customer is paying tens of thousands of dollars trying to repair all of the programming problems. Experts in the USA said to DUMP the site and start all over. We trusted these folks with our reputation. Now it has been tarnished and we look like fools to our customers. This is the type of nightmare that all consumers worry about. This company is a joke and goes through programmers like socks. They don't even know what they are doing, I have dozens of recordings/video recordings of our meetings where they admit they screwed up on programming. PLEASE TAKE OUR ADVICE AND FIND A DIFFERENT COMPANY. THERE ARE TONS OUT THERE. THESE GUYS ARE FOOLS! WORSE THE OWNERS ARE NON-RESPONSIVE TO OUR VALID COMPLAINTS!!!!!
