I'm now stuck in a bait and switch scam. I upgraded to the…read more1Gigabyte plan, but am only getting 500mps. Lightspeed internet has confirmed that I'm only getting 500mps. Apparantly, I gave up my 300 mbps plus free modem rental to upgrade to the new faster plan which they could not provide. Lightspeed Internet will not give me my old plan back at my old rate. I complained within a day of the switchover. They now want to charge me twice what I paid before for the same 300 mbps plan. A word of caution - never upgrade Whatever happened to customer satisfaction

We bought our office phone system from them a long time ago. We contacted them again, as we were…read moremoving and needed the system set up at our new location. The person who answererd the phone was very helpful and pleasant. He looked up our account (from about 10 years ago) and immediately knew what system and phones we had. He then recommended a new system, but didn't try to sell us new phones, as the features on them hadn't changed much (they just look better). He also helped us in figuring out how much of the wiring our electrician was going to do, and how much the Canwest tech should expect to do. They are a Panasonic business phones systems dealer, and the new system is awesome! It even sends the voice mail messages to my email (as an attached .wav file) so I don't have to dial in, and I can have all my tasks end up in one location!! The technichian was efficient and friendly, as well. He set up the lines in the correct locations, and named all the extensions as in the diagram they had asked us for earlier. The original guy came the next day for voice mail setup and training. It was easy to understand.

Would you like a cranky man to answer all your questions with the most condescending attitude possible, as if he thinks you're the dumbest person on the planet? Choose Canwest! At this point, we're paying them for doing nothing while I spend hours Googling all the solutions to my phone problems, because anything is better than actually having to talk to the guys at Canwest.
