There are a few sayings in life that tend to be based in truth. One is "you get what you pay for"…read more In my case that means by saving a bit on trash I'm paying to wake up on a weekly basis around 6:30 AM because they just HAVE to pick up the trash so damn early. Have I contacted them multiple times? Yes. And in all of that time, there is maybe a span of a few months where the route is switched up and then they're back here way too early. The other company might cost more, but at least their trucks don't rumble through until at least 7 AM. If I had the budget I'd switch just based on that. I support local as often as I can, but when local businesses treat me like crap, it's tough to support them. Aside from that, they're what you'd expect from a trash company.

I did trash Valet So you don't wanna move the trash can too far away from where the trashcan was placed before or people will complain because they go crazy. Especially in apartment complexes. Anyways in housing complexes When you leave, a trash can directly behind vehicles. When they weren't there to begin with. It gets frustrating after....oh I don't know the seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth time right? I have complained in the past, three maybe four times In the past six years. But now for whatever reason it's every week that I have to call. Speak to the very nice lady and tell her that their drivers don't know how to read I guess.? I've resulted to name calling in this review I am sorry... The problem started back up in September and it is now December. And nothing has changed.. Their drivers are incompetent. I have Left multiple messages With ava's waste removal complaining that their Truck drivers keep leaving the trash can directly behind my truck in my driveway. You might say, why are you leaving it directly behind your truck in your driveway right? I am not ! we are purposefully leaving it almost on our neighbors property fifteen feet away to the left . Or if it's on a nice day the night before then we bring it out 20 feet the opposite way. BUT It'll still end up directly behind my truck which is in my driveway... The nice lady who answers the phone told me last time that There's a note in the computer that pops up when the trash driver comes to my house to pick up our trash. Apparently they don't know how to read. I'm over it. I never had this issue with any other trash service. The only reason I left republic was because I was getting a discount for combining my trash and recycling but then I found out that they were putting recycling in the same truck as the trash. So we're paying extra money for recycling. But it's going to the same place as the trash and not getting separated blah, blah, whatever. So then we started with Ava's and they were doing well. In a whole year they would leave the trash can behind our truck once. Now it is every single week. I don't know if anyone knows this, but to replace A trash can costs a lot of money. They just won't throw you a new trashcan for free if you run it over because of their incompetence- They will charge you. I don't understand why I am paying for a service that I have to call and complain about every week.. Again, the ladies who answer the phone are excellent. They're very polite, They try to help you out any way shape or form they can. But the idiots who are driving the trucks and picking up the trash need to watch a video on how to do their job again. Did I mention how I've gone around my neighborhood to see if it was just my house that they were doing this to? Well it is and I did. Never in a million years did I think i'd be that lady driving around my neighborhood Taking pictures of where my neighbors trash cans were placed. Well guess what? None of them have their trash cans anywhere near their driveway. I'm over it. They couldn't even do it for 1 week after I complained. I'm not going to leave pictures On here because it shows my home. It shows my address and my vehicle. I don't want retaliation from the people who give it. 5 Stars to come to my house and start Messenger with other stuff. Because that stuff happens because people are crazy. Evas has photos because I have sent them photos. Photos of my house and all of my neighbors that have ava's waste removal as their trash service.. And how only my trash can is in my driveway. Nobody else is trash cans anywhere near any of their vehicles or their driveway.

I have to give 3 stars out of 5 for my experience with Fire Dawgs, however if I could give 10 out…read moreof 10 stars for the actual gentlemen who came to the job, I would. They were very polite, friendly, hardworking and apologetic. Now my reasoning for the 3 stars. I scheduled my pick up online the week before for a Thursday pickup. I had a follow up phone call from a AI representative, which was a very frustrating experience. Also, I had a follow up text from Alex, who said he was the president. He confirmed the appointment and asked me to send photos of what needed to be picked up, so they knew how to plan for my pickup. I sent at least 15 photos of several pieces of large furniture and other items. This was for a clean out of my father's house. I had cleaners coming the following day and need everything out for them. I also had our realtor coming on the following Monday to take photos, I also would be returning to my home in Columbus, Ohio (my father's house is in Indiana). Fast forward to the day of my appointment. My scheduled window time was 1:30 - 4:30 p.m. I received a phone call around 3:00 p.m. from the actual hauler saying they were at least 2 hours behind and that I would get another call when they were on their way. They finally made it to my house around 6:30 p.m. I showed them everything it the house that needed to be taken and they told me they wouldn't be able to take it all that day. They were never shown the pictures I sent and they were overbooked on jobs to complete in one day. The dump was already closed and they were only able to take what they had room for in their truck, which they came already at least 1/2 full. They called for another driver to come and he had a little bit of space in his truck, but it was already mostly full. Initially they said they could come back first thing in the morning, but after talking with their manager, they said they wouldn't be able to come back until Monday morning. Well, I had cleaners coming at 9:00 a.m. the day after the appointment that I could not reschedule, so that meant I had to clean up after that. Also, I had to reschedule my realtor for Wednesday instead of Monday. Soooo, Monday was scheduled for the 10:30-1:30 p.m. time slot. Fast forward to Monday, the crew did not show up until around 4:30 p.m. The truck was already partially filled with someone else items. They couldn't load and dump and return because, again, the dump is only open until 5:00 p.m. So they loaded up as much as they could in the truck, took it to their warehouse and returned for a second load. They still couldn't get everything on the second load, so they had to come the next day for a third time. They showed up on time that day and finally took everything. Shout out to Isaiah who did what he could. I ended up missing 2 more days of work for this and spent a fortune on it. *** If you are the owner or manager of Fire Dawgs please reevaluate how you are scheduling your employees for pick ups. It is very disrespectful to the client's time and also very hard on the employees as they are very overbooked and overworked.***

They called my wife who had ordered it. She was asleep and didn't hear phone and they did not leave a message. They did not deliver dumpster due to cars in driveway and did not attempt to knock on door. Called later in day for status and was told about earlier attempt and that we would be charged $195 for undeliverable attempt. Jamie stated that drivers are not allowed to leave their vehicles to knock on door and this charge was clearly stated in contract. She would not allow us to talk to anyone else stating that she was "highest customer service" rep there and basically just said that's their policy so they scammed us for $195. Called another dumpster company who stated that Budget Dumpster is just a third party business that actually calls other dumpster businesses to get dumpsters and that being told that drivers cannot get out of their vehicles is incorrect. A couple weeks after our dumpster was picked up we were charged an additional $785 with no warning saying our dumpster was overweight. We had to explain ourselves 5 different times that there was no way our dumpster was that much overweight. It wasn't until we provided proof that the company conceded to their error and refunded the money. After reading several reviews on here it seems like a practice of theirs to charge people overages that aren't theirs. Makes us wonder if we didn't have a Ring camera for proof if we would have been out $785. We would not recommend this company as it's a bit shady.

I called and setup a time - I called back and the guy said I didn't have a move scheduled (got a text confirming I didn't have anything scheduled). Then people showed up at my house (I wasn't ready). The company blamed me even after I showed them the text and the call where the guy said I didn't have an appt. Move time comes - the guys are aloof and unhelpful. They didn't ask if I was okay leaving the doors open (they propped them up immediately). So then I had to find my cat. They used the front and back (while they were only two people) and messed up the door frame to the back - with nails sticking out that could've easily poked my kids (I'll come back to this). That's bad enough but professionals would have at least mentioned what they did (not try to avoid it). Professionals would say, "We screwed up - how can we help". I know this because I hired professionals after this company failed so miserably and they did something considerably minor and immediately were like, "We're sorry - that was our mistake." And that was it - taking simple accountability was all that was needed and I could not have cared less (although as professionals, they didn't screw up nearly as badly as College Movers). Back to College "Movers". They damaged furniture. They poorly packed and took very little of what I asked them to take and then they stopped before the time agreed upon and had the unmitigated gall to ask me if I would be tipping them. When the crew that came after these guys saw how they literally had thrown my things in a 10x20 storage unit and taken up a ton of space with not that much - they laughed (because these guys are laughably pathetic). Even sadder? I'm in no way a professional; the movers told me they had no way to understand how to take apart a bunk bed. I did it in the 20 minutes after they left (by myself). They are, simply, lazy. And that's fine - be lazy (but don't be movers). The worst part is that for each issue raised, their company took absolutely no responsibility. Texts indicating I had no appt? I must've confused their system (and ignore the fact that I could name who I talked to, when I called and for how long). Pictures showing the damage they did (but had not happened in the 4 years I previously lived in the home or from the movers I hired AFTER them because they were so bad) - must've been poor craftsmanship of the house, furniture, or magic. At no point was someone able to say, "You know, we could've done better." It has been (repeatedly), "Well, actually ..." If you want college movers in the vein of frat guys who are bad at their job, uninterested in professionalism, and adding to the litany of why moving sucks - these are completely your people.
