Proof of threatening me for a bad review.
    Corey L.

Extremely disappointed with the service from RV Unlimited. Price gouging at its finest. $150 service call. $200 diagnostic fee. Then $525 to reset a surge protector. Then another surcharge fee of $43.75. Plus tax it was $970.38 to reset a surge protector for a rental RV. Person I worked with was evasive and threatened to report me to a network of mobile RV techs so no one would work with me if I gave a bad review. Would avoid at all cost.

This is the part that needed replaced. This is it!

This company is a scam. They are not upfront about ALL of their prices. We used the Odessa location for a pex connector fix that broke off. Simple fix. First they showed up 45 mins after the arrival window had passed. Then the tech just stood there and said he can't "diagnose" the problem until we pay the invoice sent to us via email. $100 service call. $200 diagnose fee plus tax $324 before he would even look at it. They already knew what it was as they asked for a picture the day before when we first called. We paid that as we didn't expect the parts to be much at all. He said ok diagnosis is you need a new connector. No kidding. He calls the main number so they can send us another invoice that we have to pay before he does any work. It was $50 for parts (fine) and another $600 for labor for a job the tech said under 30 mins! The grand total came out to $1043 for a simple 30 min fix! Absolutely outrageous. We declined them making the fix as you tube can show us how to do it anyways. They would not refund any money so we are out $324 for nothing. The lady I spoke to about the prices was extremely rude. AVOID AT ALL COSTS unless you just happen to have hundreds of dollars to spare. If I could I would give them negative stars.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!! I had hoped that cruise america here in Buffalo would be okay…read moresince the bad reviews I read were only from out west, boy was I wrong. When we first got there the girl was being very over dramatic about issue they were having with another RV, she assured us that the one we were taking was in perfect working order, even though it had been brought back late and she didn't have a lot of time to go over it. Fast forward we get home to pack it and the cab AC is not working. I called customer service and they say "I am so sorry, just use the rooftop AC with the generator and we will credit you back. Call us at 8 am and we can see about getting it fixed" (it was 6pm and the shops were closed. So, we turn on the generator and the rooftop AC, finish packing and start out on the road. About 5 hours into the trip we notice everything in the freezer is thawing. I call customer service again and they say "Oh the sensor must have fallen, just tie the sensor up to the top inside the fridge and it will be okay, in the meantime we will give you a $25 credit to go buy ice and replace the food that was melted". We pulled over for the night, in the morning all of our popsicles were melted and the milk was getting warm, the fridge was at about 50 degrees, so we put a bag of ice in there to keep it cool. The freezer was at 40 degrees and all that was in there was a waste. We were four hours from our destination and had reservations so we pressed on hoping that we could salvage our trip. I called CS at 8 am and they said the closest shop was a few hours away in the wrong direction and that it would take a couple of hours to fix, instead we could just use the generator while driving to run the rooftop AC. So we do that. We get to Assategue Island, absolutely wonderful! We had two great days because the RV was just parked. We left a day early because our food had thawed, so we were running out. I did not want to be on an island with three kids and no food. So we pack up to head home. At this point it was 91 degrees and the rooftop ac was working but barely making it up to the cab part, and with the heat coming off of the engine we were dripping sweat. We pulled over and waited for it to get dark so we could drive without as much heat. Customer service told me to call the place we picked the RV up from to let them know that we were dropping it off a day early and tell them the issues it was having. 1- cab ac did not work at all, 2- fridge and freezer were not working, 3- vent over bed was not sealed properly and was leaking water from the rooftop ac, 4- none of the cigarette lighter plugs were working (no charging our phones), 5- the compartment that had the hose was locked and the key we had did not fit it, so when we dumped out the tank we had to borrow someones hose. The girl at the pick up place was very defensive about the issues. We told we would be there in the morning and work it out. We finally got home, cleaned out the RV and took it up to the drop off location. From the minute we pulled in the girls was very pissy (I think she is also one of the "mechanics"). She was once again over dramatic and snappy. Even though customer service gave us permission to use the generator she hassled us about it. She eventually gave us a credit for it, $58, but said there was nothing about the $25 credit for the food melting. She could have cared less that there was no AC in the cab and acted like we were stupid, even though while we were waiting for her the other mechanic told us that they had problems with the AC before we took it!!!! She in nor way offered a discount for anything that had gone on and when I told her if she didn't want to give us the credit we were told we would get or a credit for the things that went on, then that was fine I would take it up with corporate. She had been getting pretty loud and I had no desire to stand there arguing with her. (During all of this a sales person came in to see if they wanted some supplies and boy did she bit that sales woman's head off, so she just left). She printed out the closing receipt and said this is what it is, I signed it and told her to have a good weekend and left. I called corporate and apparently you can only speak with Customer relations via email, it will take them 5-7 days to respond, so I will be waiting a while. Bottom line,==King Automotive on Seneca in Elma was the location we picked up and dropped off at; they did not properly check the vehicle before sending it out and also knew it had an AC issue but sent it out anyway, the girl in charge of handling customers is extremely over dramatic, and very defensive. I had hoped they were better than the other reviews I read but they are not.

Since writing our intial review, about our positive experience buying, we have had multiple issues that have been not resolved/poorly resolved by Outdoor Travel. These are the most recent..... -Within a year, our flush "leaked" and flooded our trailer. This was the second time we used the flush to clean the black tank. They "fixed" it, only to find that it was still leaking when we tried to use it again. We just decided we weren't going to deal with it and have not used it since. No cost for them to "repair" it, but we recieved a $200 bill almost 7 months later, when they told us this was actually not covered. -seals on our slide out - again within a year, these starting falling off. We took it in (the same time as above) and they "fixed" it by putting staples in the seal. We were not happy with this fix, but I called Aspen and they said this was their recommendation. Again no cost at pick-up, but again we recieved a bill 7 months later, another $200 for staples. - back window was very hard to open - again within the year. We took it in (the same time as above) and they "fixed" it by bending it? It still sticks......Again no cost at pick-up, but again we recieved a bill 7 months later, another $100. So total for this bill, when we were told no cost at pick-up in May (we received 7 months later...even though we have been there a couple times since and they did not mention) was $600 and they put some staples in, pushed the window in, and fixed one fitting on the flush and now it leaks somewhere else...... Again, these are only some of the issues we have had......I would think twice about buying from Outdoor Travel.

5 Stars - A Dream First-Home Buying Experience!…read more Our recent experience with Colton RV & Marine has set the bar so high for customer service, professionalism, and genuine care that I truly don't think anyone else in the RV industry could top it. From the very first call, our salesman Eddie was an absolute standout. Professional, confident, competent, and incredibly thorough, he made this out-of-state purchase feel effortless. He went above and beyond by giving us a live, personal FaceTime tour of the exact unit we were interested in, walking us through every detail as if we were standing right there. He then followed up with clear and organized emails--and even took the time to go over every single detail with us on the phone to ensure we fully understood. When we called to verify if the 2021 Grand Design Momentum 351M M-Class was in stock, Eddie confirmed and handled everything so smoothly and quickly that any stress we had about buying our first home disappeared. His knowledge of both the product and the process was outstanding, and not once did we feel pressured, rushed, or like "just another sale." Eddie is the perfect example of what the standard in sales and customer service should be--genuine, respectful, kind, accommodating, and trustworthy. Talking to him was like talking to a good neighbor, not a pushy salesman. I truly hope this company recognizes employees like Eddie, because he deserves every bit of appreciation and recognition for his work ethic and care. When we finally met Eddie in person on pickup day, he was exactly who he'd been over the phone: genuine and authentic. The excitement and confidence we felt in our purchase was because of the way Eddie handled our entire experience. We also have to rave about Justin in the service/parts department--after we received an amazing, detailed, two-hour walkthrough of our new toyhauler, Justin stepped in and made sure we were fully set up as first-time owners. His personality was the best--fun, respectful, and incredibly helpful. He guided us through selecting all the essential "first-timer" gear we needed, introducing us to Kuma Outdoor Gear, which we instantly fell in love with! Even in 90+ degree heat, both inside and outside the service garage, Justin was going up and down stairs hauling our huge purchases for over three more hours. His energy, dedication, and genuine enthusiasm made this part of the process a blast and worth every penny. Colton RV should absolutely recognize Justin for his outstanding work ethic--he's a true asset to the company. They even went the extra mile to accommodate our working K9, Raptor, making sure our time there was stress-free for both us and him. Another bonus? The dealership has a couple of camping lots right in the back where you can spend the night in your new RV to truly see how "at home" you feel. The area is safe and secure, with a locked gate so no one can bother you, and the staff made sure we were completely comfortable during our stay. And finally, Kiera in finance--a true gem! She was efficient, knowledgeable, and made what could have been a stressful conversation about warranties and coverages genuinely enjoyable. It never felt like a sales pitch; instead, she approached it from the perspective of a homeowner, making sure we got great deals on the coverages that actually mattered for our lifestyle. This was not "just" a purchase--it was the buying of our very first home we'll be full-timing in. Eddie, Justin, and Kiera made it a memorable, exciting, and stress-free journey. If you want a dealership that treats you like family and has employees who genuinely care about your experience, Colton RV & Marine is the place to go. Thank you for making our first home purchase an unforgettable and joyful experience--we couldn't be happier! -- Nikki & Nick & K9 Raptor Proud owners of a 2021 Grand Design Momentum 351M M-Class
