Refrigerator problems. Chris shows up hits the reset button, charges me $95 on top of $89 service call. He tells me if it fails again to replace this part. I ask why doesn't he just replace it? Horrible experience. Spoke to woman on the phone, reviewed all repairs that needed to be made to my trailer, and they scheduled a technician to come out the next day. The technicians that came out didn't even know that my trailer was fiberglass, did not have the materials to complete the repairs, seemed short on time and very unclear as to what I needed, and indicated that it would be better for me to bring my trailer in to the shop (even though the woman on the phone indicated the exact opposite). On top of that, there were randomly placed impudent remarks, like "I can't believe these things have resale value". Rough. read more

Disappointed due to lack of communication from one particular person. And unfortunately this reflects bad on the overall business. I was on the lookout for an rv repair person and came across a post to which Brandon Carlson replied to saying that he works on rv's. After seeing that, i reached out to him and he stated he could get us a skirt put on our rv (as we are preparing to head north). He said i could go through this company or i could go through him independently for a little cheaper. I chose to go the cheaper route obviously. I then had my husband reach out to him to give more information. Long story short... he was a poor communicator and ended up ghosting us both. My last attempt i sent him a message via Facebook messenger and it shows that he read the message and chose not to respond. That was simply very poor customer service and manners overall. So now i think it's right that the company knows about this to see the type of work ethic this person entails. read more

I like that they take bookings for service - you know you wont be waiting forever to get your rv back. They replaced an ac and fridge cooling unit on my class a rv in just a couple of days. Not cheap, they charge full retail for the parts but hey, they are reliable and prompt. Also excellent communications. read more

No-one wants to need an RV repair shop, and from what I've read online, not many find a good one. We really did a number on the roof of our 5th wheel (who know cedar branches could be so unforgiving?!) and were desperate for a quick response before a significant rain forecast. We couldn't have been luckier when we found RV Specialists. Stephanie listened to our tale of woe and got us on the schedule, and Rick & Doug came out the next morning to assess the damage and perform makeshift repairs. They set up a full replacement appointment in less than two weeks (unheard of in the RV repair world) and Rick made sure he was around for us to drop it off on a Sunday evening. He also didn't back the rig into the bay but talked my us through it, as we could clearly use the practice :p We got the rig back the following Friday with a fully replaced roof, removed and repaired fiberglass end cap, beefed-up levelling legs, unclogged master bath sink, and repaired furnace (the latter unrelated to The Incident but still needed). The office worked quickly to get the insurance paperwork filed, and we were ready to head to our next RV site. A week later, the decals arrived and they had someone out to our side to buff remaining scrapes and scratches and to apply the new swoops. Everyone we met at RV Specialists was down-to-earth, knowledgeable, and professional. I hope we never need them again, but we're glad to know they're around if we do. read more

My husband and I were traveling to visit family with our trailer. We developed suspension problems just after we crossed into Georgia. We called RV Specialists to ask advice on the problem and if the trailer was still drivable as they had done suspension work for us back in February, 2019 (The current problem is unrelated to the prior issue). Not only were there multiple issues in their fixing the problems with my RV, after the Dometic ACs would not work properly, they told me they would not work on my RV further. We have had 3 service calls from Rick @ RV Specialists. We can't say enough about the professionalism and accuracy of each visit. After several bad experiences over the course of our RV history with other companies, we have found a true gem. Rick handled a couple of repairs for us and also installed our satellite dish on the roof, spending much time to assist us in getting all the programming and operations on the TVs finished up - something he didn't have to do as most would just have you call DirecTV to be walked through it. This install was a little tricky and took much longer than usual, but he persisted, calling the RV manufacturer to confirm locations when the schematic didn't match up to what he found. RV Specialists provides RV repairs at your location. I called RV Specialists to repair my RV's heater and black water level indicator. When the repairs where complete the service tech told me they were done, I signed the paperwork and he was gone. After he left I checked the heater and it worked fine, the black water indicator did not. It took me a month of calling and leaving messages before the service tech finally called me back. When I told him the black water indicator never worked he suggested that I try a simple trouble shooting technique, which I did. The black water indicator still didn't work. I called RV Specialists back and was able to talk to the service tech right away. When I told him the black water indicator still did not work his answer was: "Let me check my schedule and I will call you back." That was a month ago, he never called me back, and I won't ever call RV Specialists again. read more

I have a 5th wheel I live in full time in Austin, TX and had 7 items I needed repaired under extended warranty on my 3 year old RV. I enjoyed working with Judith to get the warranty repairs approved and the work done in 30 days. It is a process and it did take 3 trips. I found that all of the employees with RV Specialists were very professional and the work was top notch. In the end I got $1,700.00 in repairs completed and was only out of pocket a trip charge of $100 plus a small parts shipping charge not covered. I highly recommend using this RV repair shop and have found them to be responsive when most of the smaller repair firms in Austin are not. read more

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE. Arrogant, shyster, deceiver, rude, belittling, and gossiper are just a few of the qualities Rick possesses. I just happen to be the middle man between this racketeer and a large corporate company. However, I watched Rick take advantage of the situation and try to double charge them thinking they wouldn't know and I wouldn't care enough to tell them. The positive part of the whole experience is the receptionist, she deserves so much better than this dog and pony show. After I notified him that I was on the way to pick up my trailer, I had to wait another 45 min and charged another $60 so that my trailer could be taken off his truck. STAY AWAY!!! I have seen how he responds to others when they leave negative reviews so let's see how he twist his response to make it seem as how he has done nothing wrong. read more

i called rv specialist to work on my rv they came but the first guy didn't do much he diagnosed the fan motor needing to be replaced which i knew asked him to look at hot water heater he just turned it on never opened boot to access the heater got a call from them and ordered part was told the service call would be 240.00 but after they put it in they tried to charge me 390.00 then talked to staff in office and they dropped it down to 331.00 but it still isn't the price i was quoited called office they said they would discuss it and call me back still waiting read more

A/C went out under warranty. Met four of their technicians. Two visits and it was done. All very professional and very quick. Found what was wrong in a very short time. Service is Terrible. I called this company requesting a mechanic take a look at my A/C unit. They took my information and said I would receive a call back to schedule an appointment. No one called me. I finally had to call them to find out the status. My paperwork got lost under some other paperwork on the desk. Once they found my paperwork, they agreed to send a tech out the following morning. The tech did show and charged me $131 for his time. He told my wife he would get me an estimate and told her they could order the new unit and possibly get it installed the following day. Once again I didn't receive call or email regarding my estimate. I called the company the next morning to get an update. They could not find my paperwork again but agreed to look for it and call me back. They found my paperwork located in the "Completed pile". I told the guy I was getting frustrated with their service and wanted the manager to call me. It was Friday afternoon, the guy said Rick was out of the office and it would be Monday before he could get back to me. On Monday the original tech called me justifying his work. He said it was not his responsibility to get an estimate to the customer. I called their office back and finally got to speak to Rick and yes he couldn't find my paperwork. He said the tech had it with him even though he wasn't supposed to. He agreed they had issues and said he would call me back with the estimate. Rick did keep his word and left a message with an estimate. $841.50 for the new upper unit + 1.5 hours of labor. I checked online with PPL and the same new A/C unit was only $568.00. At this point I have money invested and it's still HOT. I called the company back and agreed to let them install the new unit at their price but wanted the original $131 to be credited towards the installed price. Rick refused. So I took my business elsewhere. This is my experience, hope yours is better. read more
