Lots of motorcycle shops closed in the Valley, so I was taking my bike to a shop on the other side of the hill until i discovered RUTHLESS cycles, which is located in the Valley. I called RUTHLESS cycles, made an appointment and brought my bike in for an oil change. The regular mechanic was sick, so Art, the owner of RUTHLESS cycles changed the oil, discovered my handlebars were severly loose and my front forks were shot! I'll come back soon to RUTHLESS cycles for new forks because the PRICE for their WORK is very reasonable! This shop is spotless. The clean work benches, the clean floors and bike lifts... not a drop of oil is very noticable. They are RUTHLESS in every way toward perfection! Art even showed me how to polish chrome! I loaded my wheels into my car to have tires installed on a Saturday but I discovered they were closed when I arrived. I came over the following Monday during regular business hours but the doors were locked. I came the following day and they were still closed but the unit next door said the owner was sick and he didn't have a mechanic and will be in the following day (Wednesday). I came again on Friday and still it was locked up. I called the number on the sign and talked to the owner who said he was sick and would be in Monday. He seemed to have No feeling for not even putting a sign on the door that said "out of tithe office this week ". ZERO STARS is my actual rating. DO NOT BRING YOUR BIKE HERE. Awful place; worse people. Called in yesterday to see when I could bring my MC in for service. Guy on the phone said, "Bring it in the morning; we open at 9am." I did. No one was there. Called, emailed, jumped on SM. Nothing. Finally someone rolls up at 10:20am. After asking me what was wrong & my telling him, he goes, "We open at 10." I told him he should change the Hours of Operation signs on the front doors of the building, one reading 8am-5pm & another stating 9am-5pm. Online & here in says they open at 9am. Told him what the guy over the phone said, too. Now with an attitude, he's late to work now - just so we're clear - he responds with, "Well, I'm the one who answers the phone & I never said that shit." Rather than apologize for whatever miscommunication, he decided to insinuate I'm lying. I immediately put my helmet on & left. This is my 2nd issue with Ruthless Cycles & they do not deserve anyone's business. Wouldn't let them wash my bike for free. SAVE YOUR TIME & MONEY BY GOING ANYWHERE ELSE. read more

Took my zx6r there multiple times for basic services like tire and oil change. Didn't have any complaints before I had to do valve adjustment and cam chain adjustment. They weren't able to do the job right so, when I picked it up after service everything seems to be fixed, but after 100 miles my bike started to knock again due to the cam chain tensioner not being adjusted right. I came back multiple time and they refused to accept that it was cam chain and kept bullshiting me that I need new chain and that's the source where the sound was coming from. So I said fuck it. I took it to other shop and they told me everything was fine with chain and that it was cam chain adjustment!!! They fixed and everything works to this day! Also a lot cheaper. So I wouldn't recommend this shop for major repairs that are expensive! Maybe minor. Also, mechanics seems very professional and skilled enough but the owner is very nasty and greedy. He will try to fuck u over on every part. read more

Owner is cool but prices are a bit high for the location. I paid $250 for a back tire on a ninja Kawasaki when I've got one before from a different location (Al cycle shop) for $180 installed. Also felt like he was asking me more questions about the tire than I knew when he is the one with the shop and supposed to know what kind of tire my bike needs. Brought them my 05 zx6r and was satisfied with the work they put in on my bike. I got a valve adjustment done, air filter, replaced throttle cable, replaced spark plugs, and we're even able to install back the stock muffler and exhaust that were cut off entirely from previous owner. The prices are reasonable here compared to other places and like previous raters stated, they really do make you feel at home when you are there which is a good welcome. Appreciate the work Coco has put into the bike and even the small extra things hes done which wasnt asked for. Yes, the 10% is charged if paid for by card but thats up to you and they do guve you a receipt invoice of work they did, dont know what that other guy was talkin bout. Thanks a lot guys for the work. Fixed the classic stator / rectifier issue on my R6. I guess I Had some Jerry-rigged wiring harness that was causing my rectifier to go bad... if I would have done it myself I'd still be buying new rectifiers every few months... anyways they hooked it up. read more

Two things that are shady and ridiculous: If you pay with a card, it does not matter how much, 10% is added to the bill, and they only accept cash as an alternative. Also, they're receipts have nothing specific of exactly what they did to the bike, just a part or the thing they fixed. Coco was the main mechanic I spoke to and dealt with. So all I can speak from is my experience with the company. I have a '72 Honda CB 350, a very old bike. They said they take everything, however, I was not given a fair diagnosis. My first visit to the shop was for them to replace the chain and tires. From what I was told, my wheels were a rare tire, so it took about a month to finally get them in and another 4 days to put them on. The cost was ridiculously overpriced. This is due to the specific warehouses they order, usually their resident ones, ones they have a relationship with. They did not go for the best deal. So more money out of the customer pocket. My second visit was to have the bike fixed electrically. It would keep dying on me. I was told a fuse was blown. However the process of them replacing the fuse was a 340 dollar bill. That made no sense to me because when I left the shop and rode the next day the same problem occurred. My bike died on my way to work. I knew to not take it in again as to I would not be given a fair diagnosis and would be over charged again. Overall, maybe it was because my bike was so old and they could have been intimidated by the age, but all in all, I was not happy with my visit. It was a shady visit and was not given a correct diagnosis of what was wrong with the bike. I was not helped. read more

I've had two experiences thus far with Ruthless Cycles, and I think it would be unfair to compare them to other bike shops. Better to compare them to other businesses that prioritize great customer service. First experience, did not try to push me into something that didn't make sense, let me walk out....much more informed and knowledgeable than I was when I walked in. Second experience, walked in near closing time for service. I was greeted and engaged quickly by the service guys. They were able to squeeze me in, with a quick fix get all my gears moving again, and diagnose a near-future cable replacement. It's increasingly rare to find a business that prioritizes customers in such way as they did. In 15 minutes they turned me into a long-term loyal customer. These guys know what they are doing. I have been looking for a reliable shop as a new rider and glad to say that this is it. I got referred here from a neighbor after I was in need of a tire that was balding and had been punctured from a nail. I dont have a truck so they came and picked up my bike in their shop van that had the shop's name-Big and easy to read on the side of it. Art, the owner was very friendly , professional and a very straight forward guy and will let you know what's what when working on your bike. When i arrived, the mechanics were very welcoming as well and I dont think it was just because Im a girl, but because they love motorcycles and are happy to help whoever comes in. The mechanics lectured me in the importance of getting a tire changed at a shop rather than in your backyard and answered other questions I had. I was in and out in about 20 minutes! I took it back a week or so later to get a new chain and sprocket put on and got it done in an hour. There were different mechanics this visit but they too were friendly. Cost of both visits were fair and reasonable too. There is a seating area in the office to wait so your not stuck outside in the valley heat. They have some inventory of bike parts like tires, chains, levers, basic maintenance supplies (lubes, cleaners etc) and Chatterboxes. I will be taking my bike here for all future work and reccomend it to anyone else who is in need of a reliable shop that doesnt play no mickey mouse bs. read more
