We went specifically to see the Flags of Valor. This was the first time we had seen them. We ended up going on the last day and there were a lot of people there. We finally found a place to park and walked back to the flags It was extremely moving and impressive. It was explained to me that the flags are there every five years. It's not always the same display - different groups from September 11 are featured so there are a different number of flags. There are dog tags and photos on the flag poles. There are notes people have written. This year there were 7,650 flags. They're all in perfect lines. The flags this year honored every life lost in the War on Terror - the victims, the first responders of 9/11, and those that who have since succumbed to related illnesses or PTSD. I'm so glad I heard about it and that we were able to go.

It is so comparative to Central Park in Manhattan in terms of grandeur and liveliness. I don't know if you could walk Forest Park in a day and feel like you saw everything because it winds around and there are smaller trailers that pop in and out of nowhere. Surprisingly, I do not think the city takes care of the park, but an established group called Forest Park Forever, whose history starts back in the 60s, or 80s? They are a group of volunteers who tend to the park - every part of it, in every season, and really beautify it! There is security on patrol often enough so it's not too isolating and scary. There are parking lots closer to the main attractions. There is also street parking here, which adds to it being active but a park you can drive through, bike, and walk.

Mick starts with the fundamentals of the golf swing and evolves into using the camera work and technology to really dial in the swing and to enable certain "feels" in the golf swing. Whether you are just starting golf or wanting to take your swing to the next level, I highly recommend doing a package with Mick!

I was pretty baffled, I've owned many drivers and never had a shaft snap like that. I called Pro Am and spoke to Rob, and within about two hours Cobra was already sending me a new shaft. I was really impressed with Rob and all of Pro Am Golf. You can't find that level of customer service many places these days. Rob even followed up with me a few days later to let me know the shaft was being delivered the next day and to be on the lookout for it. Really impressed with these guys.

We love the chipping range to get a few swings in before the driving range. One complaint is it's busyyyyy. All the time. We haven't had an issue getting a spot but they are few and far between. And it seems people claim and sit on them for a long time. We also don't love hitting right into the sun. If you go after work, you have to time it right otherwise you can't see anything. BUT we love that we can drive off grass!!! We've heard it's not always like this, but we go during the week and it's not usually on mats, which is awesome for preparing to actually golf. Great spot, great place to hit some balls.

The staff is friendly and welcoming--and the food & drinks were amazing. I can't recommend enough. We got a chicken gyro, a genovese flatbread pizza (both delicious) and the best fries I've ever had. I think they said the chef was from the Ritz Carlton--and the food is just top notch. Prices very reasonable--(for happy hour we had Urban Chestnut beers for $2.50!) also a great Bloody Mary. On Wednesdays they have live music on the patio. (Today Doug Byrkit from Oddslane played acoustic sets) and happy hour is from 4-7 (I'm not sure if that's every day or what the schedule is). The restaurant schedule varies quite a bit (because it's on the golf course and open seasonally)--so make sure to check before you plan to go. The views from the patio are beautiful. Birdseye views of forest park golf course (I don't even like golf! ) and a pretty little yard w gazebo. I can't believe I've missed this place! But it will definitely become a favorite spot! Two thumbs up!

The rental clubs were top notch Taylor Made irons and woods and the putter was a very nice Taylor Made Spider X. The course was awesome. It's short even from the yellow tees, but it's fun and fair. Thanks to the pro shop staff for being so welcoming as well.

I looked up and saw the sign.. "WINE"!! So, I walked in (but I didn't enter the front door). To enter you can open the large black door (no signs and no window), just a heavy looking bold, black door! I went through the side glass door (it made sense). The other door looked shut. But it isn't!! Parking Off street and on-street parking ***The YELP app is being finicky... my photos haven't been posted and I've already uploaded, commented and erased them from my phone. ( so you'll have to go visit)!! Ambiance Dine in or out. If you want a sip with a friend, this is a nice enough establishment to do so. If you want a small eventful place for celebrating, this is a nice touch. Upstairs with rows and rows of adult beverages (after all it is an adult beverage store) which also is an event space. There are 4 plexiglass squares cut into the floor for an opportunity to look into the event space downstairs. Food I tried the small charcuterie board ($25) which was enough for 2. I was able to make some substitutions. Bar I chose a couple beverage selections and was provided a wine glass and a cocktail (of sorts) glass. My guest purchased Bloody Mary fixings' (vodka and the Bloody Mary mixer). The manager poured the beverage for her (cup of ice, etc.). The bar has straight adult beverages you can order. No Cocktail mixing here, purchase what you like from the rows and rows of beverages. Store There are some rolls of meats and snacks to be purchased as well for you to take or go. Event space: Walking down the huge, wooden stairs and metal wire handrail, you are "entranced" into a quiet, sexy getaway basement, complete with large expansive bar which lights up (top and front) to showcase its amber and honey colors. Bring your guests to this lovely spot. No cigar smoking (although it seems like it's a cigar spot, the manager has made it clear...NO SMOKING of any kind)! This is not the place for that. You can order charcuterie trays from them and also bring in your own catered food. So, RENT this place out and please your guests without breaking the bank! Exterior It looks intimidating but in actuality it's a FUN place with.. a 3-hole green miniature golf pad with a space of turf! How fun. And 3-permanently placed, tall, round tables. There are colorful cushions inside (to bring outside and place on the concrete wall). The putters and flags are sat next to the door. Summary Visit! Say hi! Purchase something from $3.99 up to over $1,000. Relax and enjoy!

The infrastructure is also excellent, with convenient walking paths and tons of things for kids to do. And the best part? It's completely FREE! There is paid parking for $20 at both the south and north entrances. We came in from the north and were able to find free parking, but we had to walk about 3 minutes to get to the entrance, which was totally worth it. The zoo is very well designed. There are comfortable walking paths throughout the whole place, and they even have a train for anyone who gets tired of walking. There are restrooms everywhere and plenty of picnic areas where you can take a break. Honestly, this is a perfect example of how a public attraction should be done. You get an incredible experience, amazing animal exhibits, great infrastructure, and entertainment for the whole family - all without paying an admission fee. First tip: if you don't mind walking, you can park a little farther away for free. I arrived around noon and parked about a 5-7 minute walk from the North Entrance. If you have kids, bags, strollers and all the usual family stuff, paying to park closer probably makes more sense. What surprised me most was that admission to the zoo itself is free. And I actually love how they do this. You can come in, walk around and enjoy the animals without paying for admission. Then you decide what extras are worth paying for: food, toys, the train, tours and other conveniences. To me, this is exactly how a place like this should work. And the zoo itself? I loved it. Penguins were amazing, plus polar bears, grizzlies, elephants and tigers. The lions apparently had other plans and decided to hide from me that day. There's a lot to see, everything felt easy to explore, and I could absolutely come here again. Especially with kids, this is a pretty great way to spend a day in St. Louis.
