There is Table Bluff Lighthouse which is a very small Lighthouse but cute all the same. It is kept up well and is one that lighthouse buffs may like. Nearby is a fishermans memorial where you can see a list of people who have been lost at sea in the area over the years. There is a large fisherman statue there as well as part of the memorial. Nice stop to make if out and about taking in the sights around town.

My most recent visit, Dungeness Crabs are in season after a delayed start! This small commerical marina actually has several docks running alphabetically, A through G - signage on the road frontage letting the passersby know what the mornings catch is and today it was our amazing local crab and our world class Kumamoto oysters, these petite beauties are a famous staple on the north coast waters here on Humboldt Bay. A marina coffeshop with restaurant are on site that has okay food and a full bar, there is also a charter house where some fishing vessels can be reserved by the hour, half day, day or longer. There is a Fisherman of the Sea memorial to all those who've made the ultimate sacrifice, working on the north coasts unforgiving and often dangerous waters. Ample parking at all the different docks. The coast guard also maintains a presence at this marina as well. The public can visit the docks and enjoy the views of old town waterfront, of the marina and Humboldt Bay out to the Pacific Ocean. A cool marina, where you can purchase freshly caught seafood right off the boat. I believe we paid $30 for both kayaks. So inexpensive. We weren't camping far, and we wanted to get on the water before it got too hot. We've been dealing with 100 degree days (in late July), so it was best to be done by 10. We got on the water at 8 am, and paddled towards Lewiston. It was such a beautiful morning. The lake was just stocked with trout, so we saw lots of trout jumping! The lake has a 10 mph speed limit, so it was very quiet. We saw a couple of boats and one other pair of kayakers. It was a weekday, so there weren't too many people. After getting off the water, we bought a couple of ice cream drumsticks from their little store. They also have chips and other snacks, but the ice cream really hit the spot. We managed to sit under one of their heritage Apple trees and saw more fish jumping. Their dog was so excited that the fish was jumping. Lol They do have a restroom but it's a Porta Potty. It's not bad though. We overheard the owner say on the phone that she was closing the Marina soon as she has to go back to teaching. So glad she was still around when we were there!

The business has suffered tremendously and the locals who worked there have too, most of which have been fired and slandered because of simple disagreements the managers wanted to implement that cost the business money and their current policies that hurt both the employees and customers. It is no longer the fun place to go camping and boating that it was before. I hope that the board puts people in charge there that have actual business experience and can save the campground and marina. Caitlin and Cynthia need to stop vilifying the workers and customers and take responsibility for the fact that they are destroying a wonderful business because yhey don't have the ability or knowledge to help the business succeed. Simply resign and allow people to take the positions that will allow the business to flourish again. Stop hurting the community and letting your pride and greed get in the way of facts.

The bathrooms and laundry room were clean and smelled nice. The town of Fort Bragg is so cute and has many beaches and hikes to do all while being so close to Dolphin Isle. Staying at Dolphin Isle was like a dream and I can't wait for us to return.

Went on a five day trip this past weekend on a Mirage houseboat. Had a packed house of 14 people…read more What we loved about the boat was that we all had private quarters. It was 111 degrees when we arrived, the heat slowly dissipated as the days wore on, but the AC kept us cool, even in the two loft bedrooms. The only mechanical issue we encountered was the lake water pressure, but the techs easily fixed it. The marina store had snack items (mainly ice cream treats for us) at fair prices. Our boat was fully equipped with an array of cookware and entertaining pieces, Pottery Barn dishes and quality kitchen gadgets-- even a Pampered Chef garlic press. Our hot tub was clean and fully functional. The staff was professional- Every one of them that we interacted with. I highly recommend this company!

The site was a bit slopey but it was all shaded which was nice for the 90+ degrees. Did the Trinity Lakeside loop trail which was 8-9 miles with 500-600 ft elevation change. You can catch the trail from the loop b campsite. Very low water line this season during this drought year. There is paddleboarding, kayak, boating, fishing. Water is very mello. Lots of ticks and bugs this season. Very friendly people, not too crowded this memorial weekend.

Most of the staff are busy working on winter repairs of the facility, so if you need someone, call first. Noone will ever answer the phone, so just leave a message. They are responsive. I rented PWC SeaDoo's. They were newer and in good condition. Expensive, but worth it. They are not good communicators, but nice friendly people. Expect to take an hour to rent anything, and another hour to return and process paperwork. It's the only game in town, on the north end of the Sacramento arm, of Shasta Lake. Overall, the marina and docks were in good condition. They have gas too.
