The dog food selection is great but I particularly love Lucy's Probiotic Dog Food. My girls eat the Salmon Dog Food, Beef Meatloaf and their Skipping Rounds Beef Treats. Plus they sell Dura Force Dog Toys that are really the only toy I've found to be indestructible! Before I drop off my 90LB Bernadoodle for his wash and blow-out, he likes to peruse the snack bins as his own personal snack buffet. The staff is so friendly and helpful, and they've never been mad about this. We keep track of what my pup chooses to snack on and add it to the cost of the grooming service. My dog actually pulls me with his lead into the store, and the salon, because he's so excited to be there. I think this says more than any words I could speak since most dogs hate the groomers! Never have I ever in 4.5 years been asked for this. You can look at my ID to verify but you're NOT going to keep my license number on a piece of paper sitting on a clipboard for anyone to see. Your drivers license number is connected to other private records, including your credit info. That's like asking for a social security number. No thanks! This was a wasted trip. Rusty's! I've been here a number of times to get pet supplies like dog bedding, dog hygiene products, treats, and food. Big plus for their own parking lot. They've got most things you need so it's a one stop shop. Narrow aisles and small shop with good cleanliness. My little puppy made an uh oh pee accident and I immediately alerted for assistance and they were very nice about it. Great policy about returns. If your pet doesn't like the food for any reason, just come back and return or get an exchange as long as you know there is still food to return in the bag! I believe Alex is the staff member who has helped me numerous times when I was completely new as a dog owner. He gave me a tour of the entire store and is there to address your needs and concerns. Kindfully helped me carry my heavy items back to my car. Rusty's has discounts as the name suggests. Every month or so they release different sales. Sign up for their free rewards membership so they've got you in the system. That way, they can see for example you made a 2nd purchase of a certain doggie kibble and can get the 3rd bag for free. After trying several treat exchanges because my dog is very picky, I asked for a return and the person (may of been the owner, whoever was at the front desk) told me to go get another product for exchange. I didn't appreciate that but I let it go and went to get another treat to try. My dog still didn't like it but I just let it go and had him eat them anyways. read more

The worst customer service after years of being a client. Wasted my time calling verifying an item I needed was on sale and in stock. Drove from Encino just to be told no the item I called about was not on sale. The staff offered nothing despite knowing that I called first, simply looked at each other and gave me a blank stare. Ridiculous, I worked in retail management for 20+ years and have watched customer service become a thing of the past, but not knowing your merchandise or understanding a sale within your business is poor management, and unfortunately wasted an hour of my day sitting in traffic just to leave empty handed. I love Rusty's so much and have been coming to them since I was a child and they only had the one store. Now their business sprawls across the lot, and they have so much to offer! I used to take my cat for nail clipping here and she was scared, so they would let me hold her as they clipped her on the counter. Back then it was only $6. This was years ago. I went back today with my new puppy and it only went up to $7!! And they gave me a free bag of peanut butter treats for my puppy! She was in and out, so quickly as a walk in. It's SO affordable, and they're SO sweet there. It's always been my favorite business and I'm happy to see them thrive. I highly recommend this spot and will always love it. read more

Thank you for your reply, My review IS HONEST. Firstly, Alex was the one who said I could still have 10% off the cat furniture, that is why I asked for him (sorry I left that out of the review). So, it was NOT 15%, and was not Guillermo who said I could receive this amount. I WAS going to purchase the furniture in question and there were black track stains across the bottom from what looked like a scooter or tire going over the light colored base. This was REAL, I was not inventing this blemish, so thanks again for your commentary. I asked Guillermo (did not know his name at the time - thank you for that!) if he could go look at the piece, and told him it was the one outside in front of the last storefront. I did not say "that's ok" and leave the store. However, Guillermo left the store to look (or so I thought he did) and I STAYED in the store. CHECK your cameras. You will see me in the pet food aisles looking for food - no one came to help, so I gave up on that after 10-15 minutes, and when Guillermo did not return. That is when I left the store and saw him in front of the cat furniture and approached him. THAT is when he looked right at me walked past me. CHECK your cameras. I REALLY don't appreciate your faux polite reply and the insinuation that I fabricated this interaction. I don't write many reviews, but this particular interaction REALLY bothered me (and it was the second time I had been to your store in as many months to purchase furniture0 and received no customer service. I can appreciate that Guillermo was on the phone with an ill family member and I did not know that at the time. Perhaps this was a giant "miscommunication" ? It doesn't change the reply, nor how I feel.
