Their…read moremenu has a lot of options for people and they have A LOT of desserts and regional ones as well. The service is fast and you have to pay inside after you ask for your bill. They are quick to get your order if you eat outside or are getting pastries to go inside. The space is nice and the outdoor seating area is the better option. I would recommend one of the regional pastries such as fruta de Algarve, which are similar to soft marzipan with a thick egg yolk and sugar mixture in the middle. It's not like marzipan in the States and a lot softer and has a better texture and flavor. The other would be the Dom Rodrigo, which comes in a little colorful foil packet. It's an egg yolk and sugar mixture that is in thin strings layered on top of each other and swimming in a simple syrup. It might be too sweet for some.

There are two cues, one to order for takeout and a second to eat either inside or outside. We loved their pastries and service was amazing!! The servers were quick and my favorite has been Pedro who took the time to explain things to us. Looks like plenty of locals come here as you can see many families showing up, especially for take out pastries. A definite stop by if you are in the area and want to start your day right!!

They have a nice sitting area outside in a sunny patch, which is the only thing that deserves a star! In Portugal, food is usually very good and I was shocked by this that calls itself a business. Many places in the Algarve area don't have a good standard of food and most is a take away type of dish catering for tourists. When I sat I asked for the menu. I was given a food menu but then when I asked for drinks, was given a second menu (weird). I asked for pancakes and I was brought a very big round pancake that filled a whole plate. The taste wasn't good either, as if it came straight from a pancake mix box. If this wasn't enough disappointment, the presentation was outrageous and I could've done much better at home myself. A big plate with a huge lump of pancake mix, a dirty pot of old sugar and another pot (exactly the package you get in the supermarket) of some syrup I've never seen before. Then I realized it was dutch, tasted a way too strong and it was more like burned sweet brown sauce to my palate. The whole thing was inedible. I even asked if she had another syrup and then she looked puzzled but offered me again other supermarket tube of golden syrup, saying that this one was liked by the Brits... I didn't even want to try their coffee as it was probably going to be an instant. Absolutely disgusted with that place.
