We were SO glad we started our Portugal experience with this local spot for the most wonderful breakfast ever.
We are a family of 5 - 3 adults and 2 kids under 10, and the staff was super attentive and friendly. They did a great job communicating with us considering we all spoke English. It was a treat that the menu came in Portuguese, French and English
It is a beautiful shop, and in addition to the food looking like a work of art - it tasted delicious! Everything was super fresh and uncomplicated/unprocessed.
For breakfast we tried some spiked coffee and fresh juices. The adults ordered Eggs Benedict with parma ham or smoked salmon. The kids got a "make your own breakfast" of yogurt with granola and fresh fruit, and a croissant with a chocolate spread.
We also got pastries to go for dessert later; a beetroot cream filled roll, fruit and custard pastry, lemon bar, cookie, and the lightest whipped cheesecake I've ever tasted.
The only downside to the whole experience is that they are closed on Tuesdays (which really isn't a downside, people do deserve a day off) read more
