The facility is excellent; roomy box stalls with wood shavings and automatic water system. There is plenty of pasture land with daily turnout. In addition, there are numerous groomed trails through wood areas and around hay fields. Boarders also get the use of the outdoor and indoor arenas. The staff is knowledgeable and takes great care of the horses. Besides providing a locked tack room, wash bay and kitchenette, the facility is protected with security cameras.

Upon arrival there was a FLOOD of Australian shepards which was amazing. The previous group was running behind due to the weather so the owner (husband I assume) gave us a little tour and was very friendly. The process to board the horse and intro are a little chaotic - there was very little instructions given and also, if your horse wasn't behaving we were mildly scolded. Well, when you aren't told the name of the horse having someone yell "Get so and so out of the water" it's a little confusing. I've ridden horses a bit so I know the basic principals of navigating on a horse, but if I was a beginner I'd be rather frightened for the lack of instructions. This is a great farm and it's pretty inexpensive to ride, so hopefully some fine tuning on how to deal with customers would help

So... yeah.... no horse but she did get a card from Santa with riding lessons at Larry's Stables, and some how she patiently waited to April!! Debby did a great job, was very patient and an excellent teacher. Our girl had ridden a couple other times, but never completely on her own. First lesson she was on her own and couldn't have been happier. We'll be back next week!!

It's great to run through, or rent horses and ride through, or go cross country skiing through, or play on icy ponds in. It's a great escape in the midst of a family gathering where you are fed to death and surrounded by crazy family smothering fights and bonding and boardgames.

Family Stable is the friendliest, most helpful stable I have ever experienced…read more They have trained, safe, desensitized horses to ride and are willing to offer help whenever needed. Everyone there works as a team. The owner, Mike, and his three sons are down-to-earth people who take the best care of customers. So are their other staff. Riding around Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds and in the Metroparks of Berea is a relaxing, fun experience. There is a little creek we sometimes cross, which people and horses like. The only drawback of the stable is the lack of pasture turnout for boarders. This could be good for me because I hope to stable my fat pony there so he does not eat too much pasture grass. I also hope to have Mike's son Hakeem (sp?) help me train this pony because Hakeem is a gifted horse trainer. He must get this from his father, Mike.

They also do trail rides for experienced riders in the local parks around town and travel to various fox hunts throughout the region and into the south in the winter as well. Highly recommend for lessons, adventures, boarding etc!
