I've only been to RusticThread once, but I absolutely loved it because I found my WEDDING DRESS here! I had been looking everywhere for a "hipster chic" dress that would be perfect for my low-key Colorado mountain wedding. I was pretty discouraged until I found RusticThread. I walked in and right away found exactly the dress I was looking for. Funny thing- they even had it in multiple colors! Anyways, I tried it on and it was perfect. The girl working at the store was super friendly and helpful and just generally nice to talk to. I LOVE my dress and it's casual enough that I can wear it again if I find the right occasion. Whenever I'm in need of something new I always stop by Rustic Thread. I (honestly) never leave empty handed! I sometimes visit their website to check out new arrivals but it doesn't compare to seeing pieces in store. So if you're on the fence about anything online, stop by the store! Their instagram also has great ideas on how to style clothing pieces differently. Every time I come in the girls there have been very kind, Madison especially. Madison has been there the last couple of times I've stopped in and she's always so happy. She's helped me with fitting questions, always offers tips on how to style certain pieces and is even honest with suggesting another color that might look better (which I VERY much appreciate). I have to say, the overall guidance and positivity from Madison is probably one of the main reasons I leave with more than just 1 piece of clothing every time. read more

The store has many cute items and the sales staff is very helpful! Their instagram does a great job showing the new pieces they have. Giving a 3/5 due to the mirror issue in the dressing room. The issue is there isn't one. You have to leave the dressing room to see how you look in a certain piece, and then receive comments from anyone/everyone who is in the store. This may not be an issue for many people but it made me feel uncomfortable, rushed, and I didn't end up trying all the items that I had pulled. Sometimes you look like a potato in a dress and sometimes you don't want everyone else to see that potato dressed up. read more

I'm not much of a reviewer (see my thin portfolio of reviews) and am a bit nervous to post this review, in fear that yelpers will trust my judgment and become frequenters of this awesome boutique, thus resulting in me having less inventory to chose from during future shopping missions. But, for the sake of selflessness, I will divulge. As a recent Denver transplant, I've been browsing through the city's arsenal of women's boutiques for several weeks, in hopes of finding a store that would be my "go-to" for fun, unique wardrobe pieces that can't be found in major retail stores. Someone up above must have found pity on my recent digression to Frumpyville because alas, my prayers have been answered! This store is on the smaller side, however, it's filled with loads of great pieces, which makes for a much more efficient shopping experience! I typically tend to browse on my own in stores and try to avoid that pushy sales person that says everything you try on looks good. Sarah was not that person! She was super helpful in pulling pieces I wouldn't have thought to pull for myself, in suggesting ways to style different pieces, and in offering ideas without layering on salesy pressure or false compliments. A must-check-out for the girl who likes an eclectic, feminine but still cool and casual look. The prices are also pretty reasonable (Sorta like Urban Outfitters prices, but better quality, in my opinion). I will definitely be coming here again. Rustic Thread is my go-to for high-quality and yet well-priced fashion with advice to spare! I met Sarah when she first opened and knew she was in it for the right reasons. Maggie has assisted me numerous times helping me select pieces that would work for special occasions but also transition into daily life as a professional by day and mom by evening. Great new addition to the neighborhood! The owner only buys a few of each garment so you're not worried that you're wearing the same thing as hundreds of other women in the city. Because of this she rotates the racks a lot. The labels are mostly lines you can't find anywhere else in Denver. She also has great accessories. The prices are totally do-able; of course their are higher-end pieces but as boutiques go Rustic Thread's prices are super competitive. As for the staff, Sarah and Jaqueline are super helpful. I was browsing as Sarah was styling a girl for a Valentine's date. The girl clearly loved the pink dress but worried it wasn't right for winter. Sarah asked her what she already had in her closet, pulled a few similar things from her racks and pulled together an awesome outfit for her. The girl was clearly happy and I thought it was great Sarah spent the time with her to achieve the look she was going for. A must go! read more

This boutique is a favorite of mine in the Highlands neighborhood! How Rustic Thread packs so much goodness in such a small place I'll never know. They are my go-to place for flowy dresses that can be donned for fancy occasions or everyday wear. They carry Lovestitch, which is one of my fave designers because their dresses are flattering for all body types, are of super high quality, but are reasonably priced. Today I picked a lovely floral blue dress that I plan to wear for my engagement photos later this month! In addition to my beloved boho dresses, blouses, sweaters, denim and accessories are plentiful. The girls who work here are friendly and helpful without being overbearing- it's like you're shopping with a friend who gives you honest opinions so you know you'll love what you've purchased when you get it home later. I highly suggest checking out their sale rack as there's often great deals to be had there. Just be aware that discounted merchandise is final sale. The only drawback to this place is the fitting room situation. Both are tiny, lack mirrors, and double as closets/storage areas for the store. read more

2 stars because the clothes are very cute. I have been here before and bought some super adorable tops and the gal that helped me was amazing. That was 3 years ago. When I came in this last time I was shocked by how badly the girl working that day treated me. The moment I walked in I sensed extreme animosity from her. She gave me the rudest looks like she was annoyed that another person would walk in. The shop was busy I get that, but I was in the area specifically to shop so shop I will. There was the beautiful maxi dress I wanted to buy that was $$$. I made eye contact several times and not once did she offer the dressing room to me. So I left, I don't need to give you my money if you are going to make me feel like such a burden for shopping in your store. I will also say prices are extremely expensive on some brands that you can find at Nordstrom Rack for a fraction of the cost. That bothered me because knowing those brands and that the quality is far from luxury or even good. So it seems a little crazy to spend $75 and up on those items. The highlands has an abundance of cute trendy boutiques. So take my advice stop here, by leave if you are treated bad and go find something else at one of the others. Maybe it was an off day, regardless that's not how you win customers or rave reviews. read more

This store is a great place to find one of a kind pieces. Really a Denver gem. The prices are great and the owner, as the others have said, is so nice and really knows what she's talking about when helping you find the right look. She also was understanding when my one year old was crawling around her shop touching EVERYTHING while I tried on clothes! They also have an online store, but it's worth going in if you can. Bought a really lovely shirt here about 2 months ago. The service was friendly, though I was a bit annoyed that the only mirror they have is outside the dressing room (i.e. the sales people all get to see you and comment on how things look on you...it feels pretty pressuring) The real issue: The shirt I bought had two strings with tassels at the end to tie the neckline closed. After the first wear the first tassel fell off. Since the store is far from me I thought I would just have it repaired at a tailor (sadly they did a horrible job). During the first wear after receiving it back from the tailor (second time I wore it in two months) the second original tassel fell off. Since the tailor's job was so terrible, I cut off their repair and now I have an ok but tassel-less shirt. The combination of the price of the shirt (it might be the most expensive one I own) and the quality of the shirt, probably mean I won't return to this store. I'd be really reluctant to buy here again. read more
