I placed an order for delivery through Uber Eats. After the estimated delivery time came and went, I called the store. The associate said she didn't know if my order had left the store yet. Then she said it was ready but hadn't left and all the drivers were out but they would deliver it as soon as one of the drivers returned. Another hour came and went so I called again. They said they thought it was on the way. At this point my order had been sitting for well over an hour so I knew it would not be hot or fresh when it arrived. I was transferred to a manager who said "don't worry, it's on the way." I said I did not want to pay for a cold pizza and would like to cancel. She was not even remotely apologetic and repeated "it is on the way, you'll have it soon." She said the reason it's so late is because they "take care of their local customers first." I said if they can't take care of all of their customers timely they should either adjust their delivery estimates or stop offering delivery to areas they don't consider local. She told me to call Uber Eats and address it with them. Uber Eats did issue a full refund but I will certainly never patronize this place again read more

A bit disappointed. The prices definitely need to be better. Pizza was good I've had before. I had a buffalo chicken pizza before for around $20, but I spent about $30 a couple days ago on a Philly cheesesteak sub and a Caesar chicken wrap. The sub I won't complain as much about because the portions were decent (though I think they could lowered the price a bit to like $11-12. It was $15). The wrap was $12. I ordered it thinking it was gonna be about the size of a chipotle burrito or something. But it was tiny. I could get 3 wraps at subway for the same price that are around the same size. Friendly, quick, clean. Pizza is okay considering where you are. It's Italian style made by Latinos in Maryland. Too much cheese, too much oregano and cooked on a screen... I stopped by this place while on a walk on a hot day, thinking I'd grab a pizza real quick. Much to my surprise, Rusticana is *also* serves unexpectedly delicious Mexican food. Like, destination delicious, authentic Mexican awesomeness that is actually pretty hard to come by. While waiting for my order, the unremarkable chips and salsa freebie was a surprise revelation, with the salsa very obviously made with fresh ingredients with real tang that didn't hold back like most eateries in popular tourist hubs do. I ordered the chile rellenos. Carmen, the charming, attentive server told me it would take a while, describing the lengthy process of roasting the fresh poblanos, then stuffing the peppers with fresh Oaxaca before putting the entire dish back in the oven. The meal was truly exceptional - like, one for the memory books. Some of the cheese and peppers had been grilled to the point there there was even almost a crust in places. The beans and rice that came with the dish were good too. I was so wowed, Carmen brought out the chef. For a strip mall joint, the place is stylish enough inside - nicer than one would expect. I didn't try the pizza, but it looked really delicious. By all means, feel free to come for pizza. Vegetarian-friendly, too, which is a real plus. But I think the surprise at Rustica was the secret Mexican menu of awesomeness. More people should give it a try! read more

There are at least 3 of these in close proximity to one another. I tried 2 out of the 3. I wanted to be sure that it wasn't just the one I tried. NOPE! I just don't like it. Out of the 3 - this one had great pics, so I thought maybe it would be better. The customer service here was odd, but friendly. It was weirdbecause as I was waiting for my order, no one was out front cooking my food - no staff - I wondered is my food cooking???? Are they doing something to it they don't want me to see???? The food - in my opinion is not good. The pizza smelled funny. Not sure which ingredient, just didn't smell right. I was reluctant to try but I did and its the dough and sauce I do not like. Same at both. Not a fan. I ordered fries as well. bland....but cooked, they had a slight crunch. So, I guess it was cooked. The pizza was ok. I didn't care for the flour dusting on the bottom of the pizza. The pizza tasted bland to me. I kept expecting more flavor with each bite but it wasn't there. I like pizza to be more charred with a crispy crust and with a chew on the inside. I prefer fresh dough that when you put in the oven gets the charred burnt bubbles, it gives the pizza flavor (see pics). I wasn't a big fan of this pizza ...but all my coworkers love the pizza. Food was delicious. Service was excellent. I really liked their pizza by the slice. It was the closest to NY/NJ pizza with a think crust and very yummy. I tried the veggie pizza and it was good. The alpha and omega here is the Special white pizza with spinach, tomato, mozzetalla, ricotta and huge cloves of garlic. The garlicky smell alone will convince your eating an Italian dish, not a pizza. It's truly extraordinary. New York/Brooklyn pizza does not compare with this White Special Pizza. Great little Italian/pizza/pasta joint. Highlight of this place is the delicious, homemade marinara sauce - bright red with actual tomato chunks in it, sweet but a little spicy. Menu includes a variety of appetizers, salads, pizza, pasta, sandwiches, burgers, subs, and Italian specialities; also desserts, including cannolis. They have a small kids menu. Sodas are Pepsi products and they have Birch Beer! Refills are not free, but half price of the first. This place is very small and cute, like a mom n' pop shop. Booths and tables. Very friendly service. Prices are between $5-15, but the more expensive pasta dishes are worth it as you get a HEAPING plate that is impossible to eat in one sitting. Between me and my friend, we were stuffed and took home a good amount of leftovers. Here's what we ordered: Mozzarella sticks, around $5. Pretty standard as they come. More of a fried outer shell than breading. Sauce with it is real marinara - bright red with tomato chunks in it. Pasta and linguine dishes come with salad and bread. The salads were quite large - not the size if you had ordered one as an entree, but larger than your normal side salads. Pretty standard with romaine, red onions, tomato chunks, cucumbers, carrots, with an oil/vinegar house dressing. Came with garlic bread that was basically 2 large hoagie rolls sliced open. Spaghetti with Mushroom Marinara, $9.50. Very good. Like I said, huge amount of pasta - plenty of leftovers. Bright red marinara sauce that is sweet and a bit spicy. Tons of mushrooms. Spaghetti with Meat Marinara, around $10. My friend ordered this, but I tried a bit. Good amount of meat mixed in with the homemade sauce. Was slightly disappointed because the thing I ordered was still on the menu but apparently no longer served - it was a Sicilian specialty, with spaghetti, friend eggplant cubes, and marinara. Slow service, no greeting at the door, food takes a bit too long to arrive, but the pizza is authentic New York style pizza. Delish! No skimping on the cheese! I just wish they would stop using canned mushrooms. Can't say much for the other dishes I tried. The eggplant parmesan and spaghetti are sub par. The cheese steak is awesome, as long as you remember to say you want provolone, not American cheese. Who does that? Yuckety, American cheese on Italian is the pits. Only took about 20 minutes for our pizza to be ready (it was on Sunday night and a little slow though). We even bought a bottle of wine there to go! I understand when you are short staffed. I understand the issues that restaurants are having, but when the manager won't answer the phone provide an update to my order that is an hour late. And when I call and try to speak to him, puts the phone down and I can listen to his conversation he is having about patrons complaining and whining about being short staffed, I lose it and write a review. First off i would like to say the service is god awful. our server barley came to our table at all,when she did she barley talked and was very impolite. My boyfriend came on her to get dinner together and we had to wait forever for food, it came out cold. Our order was also messed up. it honestly just wasn't good food at all. Called to order a pizza for delivery, staff was very rude. They had me on hold for a couple minutes without muting the phone, I could clearly hear the non-work related conversation they were having. I called at 8:28 and they finished their convo at 8:32 (not a long hold, but it was rude that they were just putting off the call), and then told me they dont do delivery this late. I'm not sure what time delivery actually ends, I understand that it may not be as late as the resturaunt is open and am not mad about that at all. But the attitude paired with overhearing a casual conversation between coworkers was just an unappetizing experience. It felt as though the workers were just delaying time until they could tell me they couldn't deliver. The pizza lacked flavor and personality. We returned the pizza because there was a hair in it. The pizza was so underwhelming that we changed our order altogether. I got a bacon cheeseburger which was also flavorless with undercooked jiggly bacon. My husband got the steak and cheese deluxe with fries that came out to the table 15 minutes before the sandwich. When I saw 5 stars om this pizza place, I thought, "there is no way a pizza place could have 5 stars". But once I got the pizza and started eating, I understood why. This place is a small family owned pizza shop in a small shopping center in an extremely small town. One other person and I ordered a pie to eat for lunch and we're pleasantly surprised when we sat down and we're served everything right to our table. The service was excellent and the people who worked there were extremely nice also. At one point, a little 5 year old girl walked in to pick up an order and they walked her all the way back to her parents because she was having trouble. Food: the pizza was made right when we ordered it so it was extremely hot and so tasty! Coming from New York, I have had so really good pizza, and this pizza definitely is giving NY a run for its money. The 2 of us ended up eating 6 of the 8 slices and taking the other 2 home for lunch the next day (which was still great even though it was straight from the refrigerator). Parking: there is a lot right outside that is shared with the other stores I'm the strip. We did not have any trouble finding parking and parked right in front of the place. We ordered from here to be delivered. They have added Mexican options I ordered the Fajitas Del Mar. On the menu it states "Salad" I took that to mean the normal lettuce, tomato, cheese and salsa side NOT a whole salad. Several items say "Salad"! So when It did not come in my order I called. A very young uninformed girl answered the phone. She had no idea that the menu even said "Salad" on several items!! She then asked a very young co-worker why it said that. She did not know either. I asked for the Manager, None were there. She offered to leave a note. I just said well it is bad business to advertise something on the menu that you do not have. Back to my order. It had 3 very small clams 3 mussels also small. Maybe 8 small shrimp. NO Calamari, With a TON of onions and Peppers!! I made two Fajitas with the seafood. This mom and pop's restaurant has been serving the bay hundred area for over 20 years. The owners are Italian and are both born and raised in Brooklyn NY, authenticity is not an issue here. Everything is made from scratch using old family recipes. The pizza dough as well as all sauces are made every morning, and are never frozen. Pizza is definitely the main attraction here, but they have a very large menu. Hours are 11am to about 9 pm depending on business. read more

Lousy Pizza + Unenthusiastic Staff + Defensive Manager = Not a good experience I have ordered here before, and had no complaints in the past. However, this time, it was totally disappointing. The order was for an Italian Sausage pizza with mushrooms, green pepper, and extra cheese, Price was $17.25, a little pricey. Found pizza to be limp, with too thin pizza crust, veggies and sausage on top of the cheese, and slices so big that they couldn't be eaten with fingers, and it spilled all over my clothing. Sausage was tasteless, and was in paper-thin slices. Most Italian sausage is full of flavor and looks like sausage, but this was sliced thin, almost like pepperoni. The cashier never thanked me for my business, and never smiled, not even once. I called to speak to the manager and was asked why I was calling. I said I had a complaint. When I told him the pizza was lousy, and the sausage was terrible, I also said I was from Chicago, where the pizza was far better. He said, "Do you want a refund?" I said, "No, I want to talk to you about the pizza." Then he said, "I been in business for 35 years. Don't talk to me that way." and promptly hung up. The pizza was like it was from New Jersey, all right -- where people don't listen, and they don't care what you think, either, and your business means nothing to them....because that's how it is up there in Jersey.
