2 slices for $6.30. Pretty good. Not bad not epic.
    TJ B.

Friendly, quick, clean. Pizza is okay considering where you are. It's Italian style made by Latinos in Maryland. Too much cheese, too much oregano and cooked on a screen... BUT it is a thin crispy crust. I'd come back. Plus one star for serving slices. It's a few coins over $3/slice. It's also a Mexican Grille so give your old Mex favorites a try.

    no one is cooking???!!!???

There are at least 3 of these in close proximity to one another. I tried 2 out of the 3. I wanted to be sure that it wasn't just the one I tried. NOPE! I just don't like it. Out of the 3 - this one had great pics, so I thought maybe it would be better. The customer service here was odd, but friendly. It was weirdbecause as I was waiting for my order, no one was out front cooking my food - no staff - I wondered is my food cooking???? Are they doing something to it they don't want me to see???? The food - in my opinion is not good. The pizza smelled funny. Not sure which ingredient, just didn't smell right. I was reluctant to try but I did and its the dough and sauce I do not like. Same at both. Not a fan. I ordered fries as well. bland....but cooked, they had a slight crunch. So, I guess it was cooked. For pizza - in the area - Giuffrida's Pizza is best (see my review for Giuffrida's)

The pizza was ok. I didn't care for the flour dusting on the bottom of the pizza. The pizza tasted bland to me. I kept expecting more flavor with each bite but it wasn't there. I like pizza to be more charred with a crispy crust and with a chew on the inside. I prefer fresh dough that when you put in the oven gets the charred burnt bubbles, it gives the pizza flavor (see pics). I wasn't a big fan of this pizza ...but all my coworkers love the pizza. Perhaps the pizza is an acquired taste! The vegetable was better than the pepperoni. I usually can eat three pieces of pizza ...two was enough for me. big slice for fold hold !

Ooh! The white special pizza. It doesn't come as good even in New York/Brooklyn!!
    Thomas C.

The alpha and omega here is the Special white pizza with spinach, tomato, mozzetalla, ricotta and huge cloves of garlic. The garlicky smell alone will convince your eating an Italian dish, not a pizza. It's truly extraordinary. New York/Brooklyn pizza does not compare with this White Special Pizza. Other things here is just good standard Italian, but this pizza is very special. $22.50 in cost. Pickup and eat well!!!

They keep the door propped open while it's 42 outside. Old people are wearing coats. We'll see how long the food stays warm.

After spending the afternoon wandering through the shops in St. Michaels on my first-ever visit to…read moretown, I found myself craving one thing for dinner. A really good burger. Actually...a really good burger with crab dip on it. Naturally, I started searching for somewhere that could satisfy both cravings at once and landed on Carpenter Street Saloon, a laid-back local watering hole that's been serving up food, drinks and good times in the heart of St. Michaels for decades. Their menu had both burgers and crab dip, but not together. Challenge accepted! I arrived around 4:30pm on a Friday during Fourth of July weekend and somehow managed to snag the very last parking spot in their small lot. Even better, as I walked inside, a booth just inside the front door opened up. The adventure gods were clearly looking out for me! The atmosphere was exactly what I was hoping for. Folks were gathered around the bar enjoying drinks, conversations filled the room and absolutely nobody cared that I had wandered in by myself for dinner. Sometimes that's exactly the kind of place you need after a long day of adventuring. I studied the menu for approximately three seconds before asking my waitress what I assumed would be a ridiculous question. "Could I get a burger...with crab dip on it?" Without missing a beat, she smiled and said, "Absolutely! We actually used to have that on the menu, but nobody ordered it." I couldn't stop grinning! "Well," I replied, "I'm somebody...and I want it for dinner tonight!" One more vacation victory! For $16.00, my custom Bay Burger arrived piled high with rich, creamy crab dip and melted cheese dripping over the thick burger patty exactly as I'd imagined it. It was everything I'd hoped it would be! Juicy burger. Creamy crab dip. Gooey cheese. The combination just...worked! In fact...it worked so well that I briefly considered ordering another one before remembering I still had dessert plans later that evening. (Responsible Adult Alexis eventually won that internal debate.) I chose the coleslaw as my side, and while the flavor was really good, it was a little drier than I personally prefer. That's entirely a preference thing, though. If you're someone who likes a less creamy coleslaw, this one will probably be right up your alley. My Diet Pepsi was $4.00, bringing my total to just $21.20 before tip. Honestly, for a custom burger loaded with crab dip in the middle of one of Maryland's busiest holiday weekends, I thought that was an excellent value. Carpenter Street Saloon isn't trying to be fancy. It's comfortable. It's welcoming. It's the kind of neighborhood bar where locals and visitors alike can settle in, enjoy a great meal and relax for a while. If you're visiting St. Michaels and find yourself craving a burger, do yourself a favor...ask them to bring back the crab dip burger. Apparently nobody orders it. Except me. And now hopefully you!

They happened to be paused between songs, and I jokingly asked if they had any Toby Keith. The singer immediately started playing "Should've Been a Cowboy," which set the tone for the whole visit. We stayed for a couple of drinks and ended up spending a good part of the afternoon there. The atmosphere was fun and laid back, exactly what you'd want from a place with live music. At one point a woman passed out and an ambulance came, but there was a group of nurses nearby who said she was fine and had just had a little too much to drink. It honestly added to the wild, lively bar atmosphere. Drinks were very reasonably priced too -- we only spent about $37 for the afternoon. Great music, great vibe, and a fun crowd. I'd definitely go back.

Mecca was our very caring waitstaff. Melissa was the Manager. My companion and I each had a concern, about which we spoke with Melissa. We said we'd mention these in our Yelp review. 1. I came in just after the restaurant opened at 11:30 am. To my horror, the floors were soaking wet. My walking stick (both I and my friend are senior citizens) nearly flew out of my hands. I nearly fell -- but caught myself. Such washing, important as it is, needs to be done -- and be thoroughly dry! -- well before ANY guests arrive! 2. My friend couldn't easily enter the restaurant because the door is very heavy and she couldn't reach the single cleat that was intended as a grab bar. A server came to her rescue and helped her inside. In order to keep us seniors independent and UNembarrased for as long as possible, more grab bars and a railing need to be installed at the primary entry as well as at the secondary one. The 2nd entrance, also on Talbot Street, should be available ALL THE TIME; this entry has no steps into the restaurant, and there are easily reachable tables right there. In many ways I highly recommend this restaurant, with the above-described cautions appropriately taken into account.

If you don't like strong, savory cheeses, then this may not be for you. I love the Gorgonzola which is not as strong as blue cheese. My husband got the veal with mashed potatoes and asparagus. We loved the plating especially the potatoes.
