Wonderful restaurant. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly, and was clearly very skilled, as we were a table of eight. The particular night I went, I decided to order the PB&J off of the kids' menu, along with a side of grits. To say I was surprised when it came out would be an understatement. The sandwich was enormous, and the two halves were standing on their sides. It came with fruit on the side, along with very crispy and perfectly seasoned fries. I took a bite of my sandwich, expecting it to be just a normal PB&J. But I was wrong. The peanut butter was so smooth and creamy, and the jelly was like nothing I had ever tasted. It was more like a pie filling. And the peanut butter to jelly ratio was impeccable. Even the bread was amazing. It was so pillowy, buttery, and soft. If I could sleep on it I would. The fruit on the side was also very fresh and sweet. Then I tried the grits. They were incredibly creamy and delectable, and the perfect southern dish. Our table ordered créme brûlée for dessert, and it came out in 5 minutes. Not only that, but it was incredible. The crust on top was perfect, it had a good crunch to it, and it was perfectly creamy and sweet. Many of my family members tasted it, and even one who is sixty years old and has a massive sweet tooth said it was the best he's ever had. It was amazing, and I would come here every day if I wasn't only visiting on vacation. The other food was good too I guess but I was honestly shocked by how good the PB&J was so I had to write a review. Amazing culinary experience. read more

A great brunch spot, I can't commit on any other time of the day. I think our server may have been new as he was a little flustered, but still kept up with everything even though they were pretty busy. I knew I had to order it the second I saw it. Here is the description for the "Comfy". "Fried chicken breast served open faced on a homemade biscuit, creamy sausage gravy, fries.... That's all you need"..... And yes, that is all I needed. I subbed out my side for some fried green tomatoes, but I was so full I could only eat one of them, what a waste on my part. This biscuits and gravy meets a southern fried chicken biscuit was borderline perfection. I adored every bite. Apparently everyone knows this place is great as I happened to run into a buddy there that i hadn't seen in years, so that was some nice icing on the cake to start my day. I will be back to try lunch and dinner sometime. read more

Went for lunch on one of our rainy days.. They did a great job with social distancing, cleaning and mask wearing. On the food, the smashburger was amazing! The burger was seasoned well and had onion jam and house made pickles along with a special sauce that had a slight heat to it. And the comeback sauce I had with my fries was delicious. My husband had the BLTA which he said was very good. Good was fresh, service was good, wish we had come sooner during our trip so we could make a repeat visit. read more

We were looking for some great Southern home-cooking and found this little gem. We were thrilled to find out they do takeout, so we decided to opt for that on a night we didn't want to go out. We ordered the fried pickles appetizer (omg yum) and the warm Brie and pear honey (holy delicious). Our group split the tomato basil soup, the grilled Mahi and grits, Alfredo chicken and the brisket sandwich. Each was delicious in its own right. Pro-top - the sides are generous. Our two boys (3 and 2) split a side of macaroni and cheese and had plenty. Plus, they loved it! If you're in the area, don't pass up Rustic Table. You'll love it! read more

Excellent. I had a Belgium white beer and the Shrimp and Grits. Meal was done perfectly. Large shrimp. Creamy grits and sausage. Great combination. 4 other tables were eating that as well. Nice atmosphere. More like a family atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor dining available. I'll be back. read more

Every time I came to the Rustic Table with my grandma, we were always treated like family by the staff and we always left full & happy! The decor/atmosphere/vibe: What a cute little restaurant! It's layout is a little tight especially when it's busy, but they do make the space feel open by the layout of the tables and such. I do love that you can choose to eat inside or outside as well, that's always lovely. The Service: Exquisite! We became local Rustic Table fans and I was known as the chicken fried steak girl, ha! I always got the same thing, and the servers would recognize us as we came in. They were always warm, welcoming, and accommodating! I love the staff here! The Food: ALWAYS OUTSTANDING! Everything from the salads to the steaks! So delicious & so fresh! I love their gravy, I don't know how they make it taste so savory but whatever they're doing - it works! I'm always impressed every time I eat here, I crave it every time I'm out of state - that's how good their food is! Overall: I will always come back every time I visit South Carolina, I absolutely love the Rustic Table. My husband and I made a trip here for other business. We looked up restaurants in the area and my husband chose this for the high stars. The food from the pictures looked good! The food was delicious and had a great southern based menu to choose from. Our host Jacob was very hospitable and helpful in rating the food and in giving suggestions. I will be sure to come back again and may get breakfast in the morning from them before heading back to Raleigh NC. read more

We ate dinner here this evening based on the recommendation of a local. Frankly, we were not impressed. The bread was very good, but the garlic butter served with it contained way too much garlic. I had the shrimp and grits. The shrimp were overcooked (and therefore a bit rubbery) and, again, there was way too much garlic. My wife had the blackened mahi salad, which she loved. My daughters both had the grilled chicken Alfredo. One liked it, the other not so much. She said it was bland. The sweet tea was good and the service was excellent. Great place! Food is tasteful and prepared in-house. Dinner bread was made by the restaurant. Deviled eggs were fresh, equally balanced with a crispy bacon garnish. Chili was superb. Meat loaf makes you feel like you are sitting at your grandmas table. Mashed potatoes were awesome. Lima beans were flavorful. Fries were great. Very sad to report our last 3 visits to one of our (previously) favorite places were poor to bad. My beloved pork was awful each time. My wife and our 2-4 guests each visit also graded their food as C minus tops. We will no longer take our guests there after years of having RT our #1 "go-to" location. Unfortunately it is evident complacency/over confidence has set in. We have the 3 strikes you're out rule. Too many fine places to go to risk another bad meal and disappointing our out of town guests. Sorry people. (And they never cared enough to get decent utensils either. Flimsy, embarrassing, cheap less than Waffle House quality up until the end. So, so sad.) read more

This was my first visit to the Rustic Table and it was absolutely delicious! The drinks were good, the food had amazing flavor, and they were able to accommodate my vegetarian friend. Stopped for dinner with the fam during a Myrtle Beach vacation. All 5 of us (me, hubs and 3 teen boys) were very happy! I had a daily special-grouper served on cheesy grits with sautéed spinach and tomatoes. DIVINE! I rarely finish my meals and I am not ashamed to say I ate it all. The others had brisket, chicken fried steak, meatloaf and fried chicken. All very good! ("Best ever" chicken according to very hungry eldest son who also didn't leave a crumb!). :). We also ordered dessert: key lime pie, chocolate creme brûlée, peach cobbler and strawberry shortcake. Again-excellent (I had a bite of each one! :) ). Service was exceptional, as well. Our family stays in Litchfield by the Sea every year for a week and have been going to the same restaurants for years. They are all great restaurants, but we can get great steaks, Italian, and Mexican food at home in Indiana or New Hampshire. This year the grandparents fed the kids and insisted my brother and sister-in-law, my wife, and I go out and have adult time. None of us wanted to go to the same places we have always went to. 3 of the 4 of us are foodies and wanted something that impressed the locals. Although we were looking for place with live music and great food, the reviews for the Rustic Table it an easy choice after our first pick didn't have a reservation opening until the next evening at 9pm. I am a big fan of farm-to-table or in this case... water-to-table. This place certainly didn't disappoint. We arrived at 7:25 for our 7:30 reservation and had to wait about 15mins or so for our table to be ready but that was the only negative of our visit. None of us were upset considering how packed it was. From the smell of the food... It wasn't surprising at the busy-ness of the place. The décor is well done. Im a big fan or repurposed and industrial designed restaurants and they did a very good job with this place. My brother-in-law had whiskey and the ladies had the blueberry peach sangria which they LOVED. We ordered the fried beets as an appetizer. I have hated beets since I was a child. No one else at the table was a big fan either but they were strongly suggested by the server. They look like dark red fried green tomatoes. I have to admit... Saying these were really good is an understatement. Being paired with their house-made avocado ranch dressing made them AMAZING. Our entrees arrived and the presentation was excellent and very appealing. I had the wreckfish special with grits, and root vegetables, my brother-in-law had the shrimp and grits, my sister-in-law had the eggplant parmesan, and my wife had the fried chicken and smashed potatoes. My wife was the only one who had anything left on her plate. This was only because the portions were so big. Everything was cooked to perfection. The grits were especially good. They are easy to mess up and these were very rich and cooked perfectly. We decided for the whole family that this would be our new "Go-To" place every year. I would recommend the Rustic Table to anyone looking for amazing food and atmosphere without all the tourists. read more

Had a perfect brunch. Proud Mary is the special Bloody Mary with shrimp sausage grilled pineapple and pickled okra skewers. Pretty spicy and delicious. Country fried steak and eggs are really tasty.
