Went in to the store today (Sat 4/11/26). No one said hello, just ignored us. Not a friendly vibe at all.

Lincoln Gifts & Souvenirs - So cute and kitschy

Lincoln Gifts & Souvenirs

I came up to get some light tea at the Tea Nook and ran into this cute little gift shop! It's…read moreliterally the cutest ever! It is well designed/put together and has the cutest ideas and supports local businesses. Here are some pics of stuff I got. The other pics on here make it look cluttered, but the store is not cluttered at all! Stop in and take a look on a weekend! I'm from Roseville and glad I stopped by!

What a cute little gift shop!…read more Someone on a Facebook group posted about this place, and how she had found great Christmas gifts for her friends and family here. I had never heard of the place, so I figured I'd check it out. I found street parking easily on the morning I visited the store, though I can imagine how parking might be a little tricky on weekends or busier times. The store isn't very big, but it's crammed full of stuff. When I went in December, a large portion (maybe 80%?) of the items were Christmas/holiday related. I plan to come back and see what kind of inventory they have during the rest of the year! Very unique gift items and the prices are great. I found these cute Santa tongs that were only priced at $2.95. Usually in gift stores like Hallmark, I'm used to seeing items priced way more than that. I found myself pleasantly surprised when looking at prices. A few other customers were in there and we all talked about what cute store it is, and they expressed how much they love it there. One customer said there were a few other gift stores a couple doors down, but when I visited those, I was not impressed with their merchandise or pricing. This store, however, I really liked. The employee was also very very friendly. He took the time to wrap everything neatly with tissue paper and was just about the nicest person you'd ever meet. Definitely a fun place to check out if you're ever in Lincoln!

The Tea Nook - Beautiful serving pieces

Everything we tried was delicious the teas, scones, chicken salad sandwiches, cucumber sandwiches, everything was so yummy. The staff was friendly and attentive. This is the perfect spot for friends to get together or celebrate a birthday. A must have for tea lovers for sure. They have so many different flavors of tea to try and they brought out plenty for us to try.

I brought my parents and daughter here for a special high tea, specifically because The Tea Nook…read moredescribes itself as a "Victorian style tearoom" with food that is "made from scratch by the owners." I came in with reasonable expectations based on exactly what they promise. The experience did not deliver. The china was mismatched and looked like thrift store finds, not the fine, curated pieces you'd expect from a Victorian tea setting. The "napkins" were mismatched handkerchiefs folded into the tea cups, which felt more like an afterthought than a charming touch. The food was the most disappointing part. The cucumber sandwich, a benchmark item for any high tea, was served on inexpensive bread with the crusts still on. Other items tasted processed and pre-made. At one point, I clearly heard a microwave running in the kitchen right next to our dining area. For a place that explicitly advertises scratch-made food, that is hard to overlook. We paid $200 for four guests. At that price, the gap between what is promised and what is served matters. If you're looking for a casual, relaxed tea party, you may enjoy it. But if you're expecting a genuine Victorian high tea experience, know that the marketing sets a bar that the execution does not clear.

I have been recently following several different rescues on Facebook when I was looking for a new…read morekitty to adopt and discovered Fieldhaven. Then I learned that they had a thrift shop that supported the rescue plus having kitties to pet? what more could you want. Finally made it here today on a Wednesday. It is located in the older downtown area of Lincoln. Very quaint with street parking and a very small parking lot of about 8 spaces. It is small inside and you may never notice the indoor catios of cats to be adopted. The one closer to the door is very small with two adult cats. The other side has a double entry door to keep escaping kittens from getting out. Yes Kittens!! There were 4 that I saw with another one hiding. Surprised that they were as skittish as they were considering there was a lot of traffic in there. They limit up to 4 people in at a time. There is a vending/gumball machine to buy cat treats but clearly they were either tired of them or they weren't tasty because NONE of them wanted it. But I still got to pet every single one. I recently adopted 3 and hubs said no more but I tell you if I could find one more to win his heart, we will have 4. I'm working on it :) Now onto the thrift store itself. The ladies working there are very nice. The store is pretty full and priced fairly. All clothing items are $4. Very easy. Its clean and organized. All proceeds help the rescue. Fieldhaven is one of the best local cat rescues I have seen so I was happy to support. I didn't buy anything but I donated money in the jar up front. Next time I will come here to donate my next box of goods instead of using the curbside mailers.

This place has had a glow up since I last went! I always seem to find something but today there was…read moreso much to look at and lots of great finds. It also seems more open and organized. Parking is on the side of the building but limited. Street parking is free but I usually can find a spot on the side of the building or in front. Proceeds of this place goes to helping cats and providing low fee or free services. The store itself is small but it has so much packed in. There are items for your cat family, clothing for men and women, shoes, lots of purses, lots of jewelry, DVDs, CDs, books, cookbooks, appliances, furniture, and more. I wish I took more pictures because mine do not do it justice. They also have a lot of sales and the prices are already low. Sometimes they have free items in front of the store. After I look at everything, I drop off my basket by the cashier and go into the cat cafe, champys. There is comfortable seating and cat toys you can use to engage with the kitties. It's a nice dopamine hit after shopping. I highly recommend this place for the variety and great prices. It's a bonus that it's for a good cause and you can play with cats too.
