Monthly food and wine pairing
Chanel T.

Review based on the their monthly food and wine pairing. Those are my favorite and always have a fun theme based on the current month. For example, November was pie pairing and December was Christmas cookies. The wine wasn't my favorite but enjoyed the location and staff is always nice.

The July wine flight and the cheese and fruit board

I took my dog here, dogs are allowed on the patio, always a plus in my book. We came on trivia night and had a great time. I enjoyed the wine flight and cheese and fruit board, it was all delicious. The service here is truly wonderful. I felt well taken care of. Trivia was super fun, the crowd was very engaged. I will definitely be back!

Newer to the area and finally made my way to check this out. The December tasting paired with the Christmas cookies were so fun! The charcuterie board was OK, but I would have liked to see that we could pick our options as there was some cheese we didn't care for. And it is a lot of money to not like something on it! The wine was good, but again is pre-set for you. Apparently it changes every month but you don't get to pick. A slight disappointment since I enjoy reds quite more than whites. Our server was nice and the atmosphere is fun. Maybe I'd come in for a glass of wine again during one of their events. Outside of this review*** Very disappointed in their wine club membership. I've been wanting to live close to a tasting room so I could join a membership. However, I don't see the perks in this membership. It's a hefty down payment and you have to get one bottle a month that you don't get it pick! I'm sure each bottle would be $30+. Again, what is the point if I really only drink red wine? They offer free tasting but ONLY the first Sunday of the month. No benefit for me here as I work some weekends. Many wine club memberships offer unlimited or a set number such as 4/month tastings so I didn't understand the perks of this.

Flight of wine on a unique spiral rack

Gorgonzola-stuffed dates with arugula and balsamic were a nice flavor combination, though I could hardly taste the prosciutto - bacon would be better. The flight of wine comes on a unique rack that holds 5 glasses in a spiral. The truffle popcorn with shaved parmesan was really, really good - couldn't stop eating it. Cozy dark ambience with high tables, nice lighting, good view of the stage.

Cute decor!

My friend & I just went in for a glass of wine and Theresa N at the bar was amazing. She recommended her favorite white wine and it was incredible. She was very sweet and easy to talk to. She made our quick visit memorable. Can't wait to come back.

I need to start by saying, I'm not a wine person. (booooo). So I've avoided this place because of previous mentioned fact. I wanted to try something new, and I wanted to write a review. I'm gonna be a real reviewer some day. Just wait. Anyway, here we are. Saturday night on a 70 degree day. Patio open (and full) and a musician warming up. Perfect. The video is definitely rustic, and I enjoyed the wine barrels everywhere and the purse hooks. Ladies, they have them everywhere! We got some comfy chairs near the patio and settled it. The menu is small, but everything sounds fantastic. We opted for a smorgasbord of small plates. Stuffed mushrooms, pears and prosciutto, caprese salad and a charcuterie board. Everything tastes so fresh! It was all served on cutting boards and just so friggin cute. A+. We finished the night with a cheesecake for my hubby, and a side of blackberries and whipped cream for me. Absolutely stellar. Obviously I can't speak to the wine, but I did notice they served wine flights in this ridiculously awesome wine glass holder. You should try it and report back. Even if you're not a wine person, don't skip this place.

Spinach and artichoke quiche with crumbled bacon

I've been wanting to come here since they opened and this morning, I was looking to take my stepmother to brunch. I saw they offered brunch so we went. The service was amazing with friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. We ordered mimosa flights, which were amazing with orange juice, grapefruit and cranberry. We also ordered quiche and avocado toast on sourdough, and both were spectacular! I definitely need to go back in the evening for a taste of their night time service!

Wine flight and Cabernet Sauvignon

I love the ambiance of this wine bar. Decor is smooth and definitely wine like. Not very busy for a Saturday evening. We got a wine flight, Cabernet Sauvignon, and truffle popcorn. Oh my goodness everything we got did not disappoint. I highly recommend the truffle popcorn. They have a decent wine selection too.

Gathered here for an after work wino sesh with some coworkers. I live in Snohomish and this was a really easy place to find. Plenty of parking and has outdoor seating. They have specials on wine during the week so check that out before arriving because they could run out! The shareable food was perfect. I look forward on coming back.

My bestie and I stopped into Rustic for a quick glass of wine before heading to another engagement. Unfortunately we weren't here for long (about 30 minutes) so we weren't able to truly experience Rustic. Free parking can be found in the parking lot. Discover is an accepted form of payment. Indoors is echo-y and has the potential to be loud. An 18% gratuity is added to tabs of 6+ people. Happy Hour is offered Monday-Friday from 3pm-6pm. A menu of light bites is offered to enjoy with your sips. Beer and nonalcoholic beverages are also available. My bestie and I each had a 6oz pour of Red Head Red for $7 each. Our limited engagement with the staff was friendly. I look forward to returning for a longer amount of time so that I can explore the menu a bit.

This place has some of the best food I have ever had! I've been here for brunch and lunch and they never disappoint. The avocado toast and berry and Brie croissant are so delicious. We also ordered the mushroom flatbread, bacon wrapped dates, and a salad that were all to die for. Everything is made fresh with quality ingredients. Love love love this place!

Will be returning. We came in on Valentine's Day brunch and it was decorated so cute! The mimosa flight was yummy, the pours were a little small but not something that's an issue for me. The avocado toast was so tasty, the bruschetta had a balsamic glaze that was heavenly and the tomatoes tasted fresh. The brunch board was good but I didn't get to try much because our little one ate most of it. 10/10 would recommend.

Truffle mushroom flatbread

OMG everything on the menu is f*ucking amazing if you order something and it's not amazing you probably ordered just tap water. From the drinks to apps and entrees to the brunch everything OMG amazing amazing amazing. Let me not forget the staff super sweet and adorable and friendly!! Just need more comfortable seats and couches! The lounging aspect is key. The hard table seats hurt your bum after a bit!

Finding a table for three on Valentine's Day without a reservation usually ends in heartbreak, but…read morewe lucked out here! Despite it being a busy holiday evening, we were seated immediately. The vibe was lively but comfortable, with most tables and the bar filled. Since we visited in February, we leaned heavily into their specials menu. We skipped the small plates and went straight for the mains: the Greek Salad with Steak, the Steak and Gorgonzola Flatbread, and the Vine Burger. Every dish was a hit, though my wife found the red wine vinaigrette on the salad to be just "okay" rather than great. For drinks, we stuck to the mocktails. We tried all three on the menu, and the Blueberry Mule (ginger beer based) was the undisputed winner. We'll have to come back for the cocktails another time since they looked promising! We capped the night with the Apple Blossom pastry with vanilla ice cream--it is a total "must-try." Overall, the service was courteous, the ambiance was spot-on, and parking was a breeze. We'll definitely be back!

Such potential! Went for lunch. Didn't have a cocktail but saw several made. They looked good…read more Service wasn't very good. Not sure why, it wasn't busy. I had soup and salad. The soup of the day was fantastic. A sausage, potato and kale soup. Warm, comforting and delicious! The salad was somewhat disappointing. I ordered the quinoa kale salad, with a citrus vinaigrette. There was a little quinoa and kale on top of a large amount of romaine. Not what I expected. It was also served stuffed into a small, tall sided bowl with the dressing on the side. How exactly are you supposed to dress it and eat it? My friend had the burger and fries. The burger was half the size of the bun. She literally removed 50% of the bun. It was also extremely well done. The fries were cold. They don't have decaf coffee, but I was able to order mint tea. It was brought in a cup that smelled like old coffee. The table had been cleared and I had no napkin and he didn't bring one with the tea. There was a slice of lemon I didn't want and I had no place to put it. There is potential here, I hope they pay more attention to providing a quality experience and food.

My wife went with 3 other ladies this afternoon, and I'm writing this review on her behalf:…read more It was her first time, and it definitely won't be her last! She was absolutely blown away with her server (Melissa) as she was super- attentive, helped with the happy hour menu and food/wine selections, and, split the appetizers and bill without being asked. The inside was cozy and comfortable. Food ordered amongst the four: caprese salad, bread and oil, bruschetta, and a flatbread - ALL were equally great! Perfect for that late afternoon get together. And Melissa even brought my wife and others a small taste glass of a wine to make sure they all liked it - - who does THAT anymore? All in all, a great experience, great service, great food, and great atmosphere! Signed, Cathy and "the ladies"

Waitress came by shortly after and we ordered (2) glasses of wine, truffle popcorn and flat arugula & prosciutto flat bread to share while we waited. Service was pretty fast. Took a while for flat bread to come out though. The wine was fine, no complaints. I wouldn't recommend the food and more for the drinks. The truffle popcorn, we saw that it came from a bag (skinny pop), they added truffle seasoning and shaved Parmesan on top. The flatbread came out burnt and was extra toasty.

We had a MARVELOUS experience!…read more My bf, his mom and myself passed by this place on a couple of walks. I've also marked it as a place to visit. It is part of the Staybridge Suite hotels here and this hotel in general, is always packed! We finally know why! The hotel inside is beautiful -- woodwork and a cozy ambience! The 5 x 5 bar & bistro is new. What it was before was an old theater. Matthew was a one-man show with two ladies helping him with carrying the done orders to the tables. It was actually quiet on a Wednesday when we had went. Only 3 tables occupied. We missed happy hour and settled on the regular menu. I had the chicken tenders (4-pc) with lemon pepper seasoning (oh my -- this was delicious!) along with sweet potato waffle fries. I also got the hummus plate -- fresh veggies and the hummus had feta cheese and olive oil too, yummy! My bf had the pepperoni pizza with cheddar cheese and topped with green onions. I had a taste of it and it was pretty good! My bf's mom had the fish burger with a side salad. Matthew was so kind and made a mental note of the orders. He even remembered my bf's mom saying 'no cheese' and he doubled checked with her after looking at the fish burger. Real nice guy and his service with the ladies was warm and delightful! They're forming an events room hall that will be done soon that used to be a pool area (so yes, no swimming pool anymore). They also have a nice patio area with long chairs and a nice mini bar/grills in the middle. I also had a limoncello cooler and my bf's mom has red wine too. We'd come back again!

In short Great deals on great drinks, food is really solid,…read moreand the setting is nice and friendly. Only drawback is that the hours are limited. In long Lately we've been seeking out places that are literally quieter--less volume on the music, more space between the tables, and so on. I'd been wanting to check out 5x5, anyway, since it's the only spot around with an exactly perfect rating score. It looked like it'd fit the bill for a low-key place, and off we went. We came in shortly after they opened on a Saturday (4:00 PM). You're in a larger business-traveler hotel here, aimed at Boeing and Boeing-sub folks traveling for work. The building looks kinda generic from outside, but there's plenty of parking, and the lobby has a high-ceilinged atrium vibe for sure. Nice floor tiles, nice carpet, tasteful furniture. Everything's in perfect shape. You don't feel the lounge vibe right away, but there's a gigantic fireplace ahead of you, warming both sides of the room from the middle. Around that, there are lots of sturdy, shiny tables under the lofty ceilings. Off to the side, there's a little lounge area, then another one. Everything in the lounge is bar-height seating, and there are a few flatscreens, probably showing the game. Most folks are in here, sitting around the bar in the middle of the room. We posted up at a table just outside the lounge. Lindsey was behind the bar, and cheerfully answered every single question we had about food and all their cocktails. She's super friendly and makes a great drink for sure. She seems to have a bunch of regulars who aren't staying at the hotel, which is a great sign, no doubt. We checked out the warm pretzel--such a decadent treat. The waffle fries (and especially the aioli that came with them) were awesome. The pizza was a great choice; we added pickled onions to the Speedway. The crust could be a little crisper but we took home what we didn't finish and it's great here, too. Service on food and drinks was really quick. The cocktails here can be really creative, and there are lots of classics with house twists on the recipe. They even have a pisco sour they've tweaked--that's a fair bit of work for a bartender to make mid-shift. We got 5 great drinks and 3 nice plates of food for $96, and I don't think we even ordered anything from the HH menu. This is a very easy place to add to the rotation.
