Russo's Pizza has been my go-to spot for years, and I honestly order from here at least once a week. When a place is this consistent, you don't feel the need to look anywhere else. My absolute favorite is the pepperoni pizza--especially the way they do the pepperoni under the cheese as well as on top. It's a game-changer. You get all the flavor without the grease, and the balance is just perfect every time. I also love the pepperoni, onion, and mushroom pizza--it's loaded, flavorful, and always cooked just right. I usually pair it with a side order of wings, which never disappoint. Beyond the pizza, the menu has so many solid options. The ribs are great, the wings are consistently delicious, and the gnocchi, and chicken parm are another favorite. Save your time and go elsewhere. This place is pretty awful. The restaurant itself is rundown and cluttered. An entire half of the dining room had tables just covered in random clutter like you'd expect at a hoarder's house. The pizza was of pretty low quality (think Chuck-e-Cheese type of pizza). Very few toppings, bland crust, and the "16-inch" pizza was less than 14 inches. I measured because it was so comically small compared to the claimed size. Check out the picture and count the pepperoni. Maybe 5 or 6 on the entire thing? Does it look appetizing to you? And finally, the service was just terrible. As people stacked up at the front desk to pick up orders or be seated, they were completely ignored over and over by passing employees. It was one of those experiences that makes you wonder how the place is still in business. Way better places to eat in Northfield. read more

Our favorite pizza place was closed for the Memorial Day holiday weekend so we took a chance- and we loved it. Pepperoni with 1/2 onion and another with sausage. Got 2 mediums- very sizable pizza. Stopped here for some takeout pasta and I was not at all disappointed. Walked in around 3pm to place an order and have a beverage. I was greeted promptly and warmly offered to make myself at home while I waited. The staff was very friendly and the interior was quintessential Italian-American. There are a few tv's inside as well. This place has some absolutely amazing Pizza. Crispy crunchy crust, generous topping including sauce. Toppings are under the cheese like the good lord intended. Only bad thing is, the pizza comes out at a roof of mouth blistering tempatuer, but you know you can't wait, you'll be careful, you'll take little bites. Our daughter ordered the meatball sandwich and said it was "the best meatball sub I have ever had!" Looking for a great pizza place near our new home, I used Yelp to find this little hole in the wall. I can't remember the last time I actually went out to a restaurant to order pizza but this will make me do so again soon. The place is dark, and feels like you're in someone's grand parent's basement with all the old memorabilia, but don't let that fool you. The food was awesome and very affordable. I had a small dinner salad without olives and a small pizza with banana peppers and sausage. My husband ordered a half rack of ribs with potato salad and garlic bread. The blue cheese dressing was maybe the best I've ever tasted. If it's a brand, I'd love to know which one so I could buy it at the store. I asked for a thin crust pizza with light sauce and that was exactly how it was served. Nice crispy crust and the right amount of sauce. Not greasy and the perfect size for one person. My husband got some of the biggest ribs I've ever seen for only $12. The potato salad is homemade and the garlic bread was delicious. I can't wait to come back again. Had a coupon so decided to try Russo's pizza. Always enjoyed Romito's who previously occupied this space. I got 2 medium pizzas, one sausage and one pepperoni. Started with the sausage pie and it was good enough that I was thinking it might be a new "go to" pizza place for me. Then I had some of the pepperoni pizza. What the....? All I can think of is that 2 different people made these pies. The pepperoni pizza was nasty - one of the worst I've had. Super greasy, undercooked, too much sauce, not enough cheese, uneven dough/crust. Just plain bad. 4 stars for the sausage pie and 1 star for the pepperoni. I will round up to 3 stars overall just to give them the benefit of the doubt. read more

The dressing left a little to be desired but it was okay. Had the pizza garlic bread appetizer and it was really good. Highly recommend you try it. Ordered a large pizza with pepperoni and onions. Pizza was great little overcooked but it was still really good. I do prefer the pepperoni on top of the cheese but it was still good pizza. The service was not that great had a hard time trying to get a refill on drinks. But I think there are a lot of locals that frequent there and they paid a little more attention to them.
