I enjoyed the exceptionally friendly service and the helpful staff. Seems like everyone working there was indeed happy to be there. The one constructive piece of criticism I would give would be in reference to the fitting rooms. The doors are saloon style, don't really close securely and are right off the main store floor. So, there really isn't a sense of privacy, and I felt like anyone shopping who might happen to look in just the right direction might actually be able to see me in the changing room if they wanted. Other than that, it's a great little shop with a large variety of unique and local clothing and wares. I highly recommend stopping in and giving them all your time and money.

People will tell you to bring an umbrella to Alaska. No, you should really just bring a really good waterproof hoody coat. It was bulky, but it protected me from the elements. It's just too windy for an umbrella. Anyway, I thought about trying the spruce tip latte. I ended up getting a Dirty Chai. It was very good. I didn't get to try my husband's Mexi-Mocha with cayenne pepper. He really liked the flavors. He's never had a spicy latte, so it was a real treat for him. The shop has some moose chocolate treats, gifts, flowers, and unique gift items. It was my first time seeing Alaskan sea otter fur earrings. An Alaska native artist makes them. The flowers that they sell here look fresh and beautiful. It's very close to the public library and Harrigan Centennial Hall. It was the perfect stop before getting on the bus back to the Sitka Sound Cruise Terminal. It's also a great stopping point after visiting the Baranof Castle State Historic Site on a cold day. Staff was pleasant enough. We bought a few small items. Sitka is pretty small. This was one of the larger gift shops we encountered. Prices were comparable to the others. Though don't get your ulu knife here. It will be cheaper in other towns. It was almost $10 cheaper in Skagway, for example.
