I don't know much about the technical aspects of orthodontic work, but I had always heard from friends that getting braces adjusted could be a very painful, uncomfortable experience -- but this was NEVER the case for me with Dr. Kojanis! She was always extremely gentle and is extremely skilled at what she does! I called this practice because it was one of the few open, and was directed to email photos so Dr. Engel could take a look. He called within 10 minutes and talked me off the ledge. He calmly explained the trauma in detail and advised that while nothing could be done immediately because the teeth and gum must heal first, our toddler should have an in-person exam in one week's time. I greatly appreciated Dr. Engel asking questions that showed his expertise and compassion, and for taking his time to reassure this upset parent.
