More importantly than his personality, he does a great job. He is an extremely intelligent provider who was always able to answer any questions I threw at him with confidence. Moreover, he is an absolute perfectionist and on multiple occasions, he was able to problem solve and modify the original computerized plan when it was not working for me. He is smarter than the insignia software. Dr. Sandman was a straight shooter and my braces were off in the exact time he promised me. I couldn't be happier with my treatment. His staff is also great. They were prompt at returning calls and were not at all similar to dealing with a giant healthcare bureaucracy. I worked with her for about three years, and would highly recommend her! I don't know much about the technical aspects of orthodontic work, but I had always heard from friends that getting braces adjusted could be a very painful, uncomfortable experience -- but this was NEVER the case for me with Dr. Kojanis! She was always extremely gentle and is extremely skilled at what she does! I also had to have my braces removed before we planned to for unrelated medical reasons, and Dr. Kojanis was completely understanding of that, and adjusted our plan accordingly to make sure that I still got the smile we were working towards!! I called this practice because it was one of the few open, and was directed to email photos so Dr. Engel could take a look. He called within 10 minutes and talked me off the ledge. He calmly explained the trauma in detail and advised that while nothing could be done immediately because the teeth and gum must heal first, our toddler should have an in-person exam in one week's time. I greatly appreciated Dr. Engel asking questions that showed his expertise and compassion, and for taking his time to reassure this upset parent.
