I rarely leave negative reviews, but after nearly a year working with Contractor Website Services,…read moreI feel it's important to share my experience so other small business owners know what questions to ask before investing thousands of dollars. When I was searching for a website company, Contractor Website Services seemed like the perfect choice. Their website emphasized helping small businesses grow through digital marketing, improving search engine visibility, generating leads, and driving more customers to your business. Those were exactly the services I was looking for, and I felt confident I had found the right company. Once the project began, I was surprised by how much of the website I had to create myself. I wrote nearly all of the content, supplied the photos and video, and even hired a photographer. I expected the website designer to play a much larger role in creating the site, especially given the price I paid. After the website launched, I paid for monthly maintenance and blog services, must providing the photos myself. When I still wasn't receiving inquiries after several months, I followed the owner's (David) recommendation to add paid social media marketing, hoping it would improve my online visibility. Meanwhile, I realized the ongoing blog service depended on the photos I provided. I was encouraged to post additional blogs myself If I wanted to improve visibility. That made me question the value of paying a monthly fee for the service. I also discovered multiple website issues, and they were only fixed after I reported them. One of my biggest concerns involved ownership and access. When I decided to move my website service to another company, I discovered I did not have administrator access to the website I paid to have built. I was told I didn't have admin access because the designer (Scott) didn't want me to accidentally "click the wrong button". After several requests, I was finally added as a second administrator so I could have ownership of my own website and move my business to another website design company. I experienced a similar issue with social media contractor (Britney) when I decided to terminate the service--the accounts I paid to have managed were not under my ownership until I repeatedly requested access. The main coordinator (Sandra) strongly suggested that I should talk to the owner (David) before I decided to terminate the services. The meeting focused heavily on getting more services than solving my concerns. I don't question that the team spent time building my website or managing my accounts. My disappointment comes from the overall value I received compared to the significant amount of time, money, and personal effort I invested throughout the process. This review reflects my personal experience after nearly a year as a paying customer. I hope it helps other small business owners make a well-informed decision before making a similar investment.

We also checked the dashboard and no photos were ever uploaded for proof of distribution from this company. They provided GPS charts that show them walking a good amount of distance, however it seems that is all they were doing... simply walking around and not passing out the flyers. We spent a good amount of money on this promotion and honestly, this is the very reason we were skeptical about this type of promotion in the first place. They tried to make up for it and get us to spend more money to pass out flyers the next day... NO THANKS. I reached out to schedule a consultation because I'm looking for an awesome web designer and a long term web designer/ marketer, here local in Las Vegas. I sent them a standard non disclosure agreement, prior to our meeting, so i can talk about my business openly. They called me the morning of the appointment and said they can't sign that and that they are cancelling the appointment. I was surprised and sought an explanation. They said because "we don't know what it's about." Ya, and you won't without a standard non disclosure agreement, for confidentiality. Why is a confidential conversation out of the question when it comes to my intellectual property rights? Very unprofessional. Don't waste your time!

Considering I have a full-time job and also run a nonprofit organization after work, I couldn't spend the time needed to use Wix and figure out what would actually make our website more impactful. While I was looking at alternatives, I was very fortunate to meet the owner of Alteza Labs, Luis Camargo, who did an incredible job of redesigning our website YogaHaven.org In just under 2 months of our website being relaunched, we've had consistent responses from interested volunteers, donors, program partnerships and even a New York video production interested in a possible future documentary featuring Yoga Haven. We are excited about what else our website will be able to bring to our nonprofit in the coming months. I highly recommend Alteza Labs for web design services for your company or project. Luis Camargo is incredibly smart, attentive to details, takes the time to understand your goals, and will research and study your industry to build a website with content and messaging that is a lot more persuasive than our previous website. He provided us with case studies and consumer behaviors that helped us understand why content, functionality and SEO are more valuable than just a "pretty" website. If you want a web design company that is actually going to make the process of making a website easier, choose Alteza Labs. If you want a company that is going to leave most of the strategy, content writing, image selection and graphics creation to you, choose someone else or save money by using Wix. In the long run though, it won't be as effective as we've quickly seen for ourselves. Beyond 5 STARS!!!

I had a frustrating experience self-educating on SEO, and even though I'd scoured dozens of websites for "helpful" articles, I found myself with more questions than answers. All I wanted was no nonsense, step-by-step guidance on how to get started, from a beginner's point of view. That's exactly what I got from Luis (and more)! Luis is great because he breaks down what I needed to do in simple terms, linked me to all the necessary tools and resources, and made himself available whenever I had questions. He helped me prioritize the low-hanging fruit, as well as come up with a long-term game plan. When I was stuck, he was quick to provide recommendations for next steps. My journey to becoming the top-ranked search result for my niche is still in progress, but I've already seen improvements in my rankings and ad performance, and I couldn't have done it without Luis. He's highly recommended as a trusted SEO advisor and expert!
