I was not surprised when I looked under the hood to find ATI is private equity owned. The employees in Evanston are great, but when they tried to get visibility on how much visits would cost, it was an incredibly arduous process. When I finally received what I thought to be reasonable guidance, I proceeded but was told I wouldn't know for sure the exact bill until weeks later. When I saw my bill, the sticker shock was terrifying. Had I known what some sessions would cost, I certainly would not have been able to afford and would not have sought service here. Perhaps this dynamic was in play from the beginning and is why they don't make it easy to understand a general range of what service might cost. When I finally got on the phone with someone to discuss my bill, I was offered a 5% concession, then a 10% concession, then a 15% concession - rather than fixing my bill that was 200% higher than what I was led to believe. My heart breaks for others in similar situations and I hope healthcare gets the regulation and oversight it deserves to provide consumers with price visibility - especially for private equity owned businesses.

I was nervous, having never done any PT previously and unsure of what to expect. Immediately putting me at ease, Dr. Kathy did a series of in-person questionnaires and exams in addition to a seamless online portal experience covering both scheduling and additional screening information. The sessions lasted a little under an hour and covered several helpful exercises to recover not just my core strength but diaphragm breathing, pelvic floor strength, and overall mobility. I was thankful to have someone supportive and knowledgeable to monitor my recovery! Parking can be found in the front on the street (paid meter) or in the nearby garage by Target. I usually arrived a few minutes early to find a suitable spot. You will receive reminders and additional building instructions conveniently via text prior to your appointment.

I have tried other pelvic floor therapists in the past and they are not of the same caliber as Kathy. Kathy is extremely knowledgeable and we often discuss the continuing education she is pursuing to keep evolving her skillset. She has helped me strengthen my pelvic floor and back. As a woman you know that it is wonderful to be able to sneeze, cough, and laugh without fear of leakage. I feel more confident in many areas of my life now too. :) The exercises she does with me on a weekly basis are easy to understand and make a huge impact! I have so many more positive things to say about Kathy's care. If you have questions, please ask me.

My most recent experience was with Taylor, who worked with me before and after a rather complicated foot reconstruction surgery. Although my interactions with previous providers was excellent, Taylor went above and beyond in her efforts to help me identify and understand my condition. She often was able to "think outside the box" in order to challenge me when things became too routine. She knew just how much to push, and when to move on to something new. I enjoyed working with her very much and trusted that she truly wanted to help me. Others at the Evanston location who filled in, or helped out, were wonderful as well, and the atmosphere was always an upbeat one, with young and engaging PR's, ready to fully engage with all clients. These people earn their money. They work hard, and I will always return to them, especially Taylor, for as long as she is available. Would recommend highly. Wendy L.

After a few sessions with Allison it was obvious while I had many things rights, there were plenty of components completely missing from my routine that Allison was able to patiently explain and guide me through. Her hands on adjustments felt amazing when nothing else worked and dry needling was also successful with her. Most importantly the knowledge to stay strong and mindful in movement to avoid future injury was really her strongest asset. Highly recommend.

At first, I was afraid they'd be way too expensive, and went to the hospital's own PT clinic, which didn't help my neck problem at all. I contacted Sports and Ortho in Evanston, and once I learned that my insurance did cover PT sessions with them, I started right away and am very glad I did. Two, three months ago, I couldn't walk because the gravity of my arm caused great neck pain, and I had to sleep upright on our recliner couch. Now I'm almost completely symptom free. They do a lot of manual work here, meaning that the PT works on you with their hands. I won't call it a deep tissue massage, but to a novice it might look/feel similar. After the manual work is done, one of their techs guides you through appropriate exercises, which you do at the clinic. After a certain period of time, they'll add more exercises and also give you some to do at home.

What really sets this place apart is not just the quality of care, but the energy and personality of the staff, they strike a perfect balance between professionalism and making each visit enjoyable. I was also lucky enough to experience the fun, playful side of the team. From their creative dry erase board polls to their fully committed construction-themed Halloween setup which, in my opinion, absolutely mogged the other offices (not even close) they created an atmosphere that made coming in something to look forward to. The occasional "jam session" moments just added to the positive, upbeat vibe. Especially when Tate McRae was cranked up to volume 12, I felt unstoppable! As for the care itself, Emma, Christine, and Jose were exceptional. They truly listened to my concerns about my lower back pain and guided me through every step with clarity and expertise. Their knowledge and attention to detail made my decision to come here feel like a no-brainer. The facility is clean, well-organized, and equipped with everything needed for effective treatment. I especially want to highlight the dry needling, it was a complete game changer. I only wish I had started it sooner, as it provided significantly more relief than stretching or traditional PT alone. Within a short time, I noticed a major improvement in both my pain and mobility. Overall, the care is top-notch, the staff is incredibly professional (while still keeping things fun), and I can't recommend this place enough.
