Just want to start off saying I have loved Athletico and the service providers that I've had there…read morein the past (specifically on Devon Ave) and I do have experience with PT in general. The first day I show up a couple mins early and the front desk person was pretty straightforward and explained that there was a 15 min grace period before the appointment is cancelled as they do have a tight schedule which I signed and agreed to. For the entire hour I was there, everyone up front was laughing having a laid back time which was distracting but like fine I let it slide. The next day I show up 6 mins behind schedule (still within the time frame) and the provider's whole demeanor changed. She didn't acknowledge me/say hello, claimed they run a tight ship (the front desk worker situation definitely didn't reflect that), and basically lectured me about how I was taking away our time and other patient's time. I had only met this person the day before and she was extremely hostile to me. I said that I didn't appreciate being talked to that way (just to her) and I don't think this is the best fit. She then took it upon herself to say she's holding me accountable because I hadn't been before and also said "it's not like other fields where time doesn't matter as much"? Not sure what she was implying but a simple "Hey, I noticed you came in at 7:06, can you call the front if you're running late?" Would have sufficed. Not a full lecture so everyone else could hear. Definitely don't recommend this place if you are a minority because they will talk to you like you are a child. And when I called to cancel the rest of the appointments, I asked if they needed DOB or name and I was met with "we have caller id". Very dehumanizing experience for simply stating I didn't think it was a fit, sorry for not wanting care from someone who was clearly very hostile towards me.

After seeing TaShea once a week for 3 months and making ZERO progress, I started going to Dynamic Physical Therapy in River North and saw progress within 2 weeks. The attention, knowledge and understanding I received at Dynamic were night and day difference to what I received at Athletico. DO NOT GO here unless you want to be pushed through the system with people who do not care about you or your recovery.

I went for the Thai Massage with Rawiwan. The massage room is inside the chiropractor's office, which is inside a building with other offices. It is quite sizable. the office has very good vibes, with lots of inspirational quotes, friendly pictures, and clean atmosphere. They also sell some raw honey that Dr. Paul apparently makes (is that the term? harvest?) himself. Love me some local honey! I got a jar and am glad I did. I'll be getting another jar soon. Anyway, on to the massage. The 1-hour massage lasted the full one hour (and then some). She uses hot stones, hot towels, and I'm not sure how she does it, but she doesn't reach out to get oil but somehow has it coming out as she's working on you with both hands! Like Spiderman or something. It was really cool. A really, very good massage. Talk to her and let her know if you need her to adjust strength and she gets on it right away. I'd be coming here regularly if I lived a little closer.

Both doctors are amazing I have been seeing a chiro all my life but I found Dr. Patrick after I got into a bad car accident and had bad neck and back pain along with ongoing poor posture from work at home. He provided the care and expertise I needed to heal and manage my ongoing discomfort. His adjustments are always effective, and he takes the time to listen and tailor treatments to my needs. Dr. PK is also fantastic - an expert at his craft and is phenomenal at adjustments. Both doctors' specialities complement each other well - so I am equally as excited to see PK because I get a really good adjustment. I've also had the pleasure of working with Amelia for deep tissue massage, and she is truly incredible. She has an intuitive approach and works wonders in releasing tension and pain. It is really easy to get on their schedule and the appointment management system is really easy for me to adjust appointments and rebook as needed. If you're looking for a chiropractor or massage therapist who genuinely care about their patients and deliver outstanding results, the folks at Elite are the quite frankly, Elite!

A client of mine has a good experience with their masseuse here to relieve a neck kink, so I went in to try for my shoulder. Dr. Tavenner insisted on seeing me first even though I had chosen to just pay out of pocket for the massage. After filling out many forms, he had me lie down face up on the chiropractic table, when he flipped me over onto my stomach to poke around, he pulled down my pants at the end of the exam to take a peak. What the??? So unnecessary & inappropriate. I've been to about 10 different chiropractors over the years, & nobody has done anything like this. Despite feeling violated, I proceeded to go and get the massage. The masseuse was so socially awkward. Talked way too much & was sweating the whole time. I usually like to chat, but something just felt like he didn't know what he was doing. I see he's left the office since, but I would stay very far away from this chiropractor. The front office lady was very nice & helpful, but in the end I paid about $260 out of pocket for this dreadful experience!

They created a plan that was tailored to me and pushed me just enough to make real progress without feeling overwhelmed. Honestly, the results feel almost like a miracle. Perhaps once a year or so, one of my leg muscles or somewhere in my knee joint would flare up during training and slow my running nearly to a halt. The experience was always incredibly demoralizing. And perhaps more demoralizing was the fact that repeated bouts of physical therapy didn't seem to prevent the issue from occurring in the future. It always felt like something was missing, so I searched around for an expert that could help me piece it together. I sat down with Jason for my initial evaluation, prepared for another month long routine of stretching and glute strengthening exercises. But even within the first half hour of meeting me, Jason was already subverting my expectations. He effortlessly identified a lack of hip mobility and tight quads -- the ultimate "etiology" of the knee pain as he called it. He sent me off with some hip mobilization exercises, and when I came back soon after he offered to dry needle my quads. The difference these two changes made were night-and-day. The nightmare of another month of PT had vanished in an instant, and I was back to running nearly pain-free. And what's more so is that the results have lasted. A few short weeks in Jason's care, and I've been back to the running grind nearly flawlessly for months on end now. Jason is truly different than other PTs I've worked with in the past. He clearly has a remarkable level of experience and a principled approach to rehabilitation that yields sustained results. I am incredibly happy I chose Jason for my PT and would highly recommend him to other runners.

I could only to sleep about 45 minutes to an hour or so in a row. This went on for years, and I saw no progress from the other place, despite going there for over two months. So I asked her if I could go to her for that issue, and I'm so thankful that I did. After just a few sessions, I saw relief.
