I went for the Thai Massage with Rawiwan. The massage room is inside the chiropractor's office, which is inside a building with other offices. It is quite sizable. the office has very good vibes, with lots of inspirational quotes, friendly pictures, and clean atmosphere. They also sell some raw honey that Dr. Paul apparently makes (is that the term? harvest?) himself. Love me some local honey! I got a jar and am glad I did. I'll be getting another jar soon. Anyway, on to the massage. The 1-hour massage lasted the full one hour (and then some). She uses hot stones, hot towels, and I'm not sure how she does it, but she doesn't reach out to get oil but somehow has it coming out as she's working on you with both hands! Like Spiderman or something. It was really cool. A really, very good massage. Talk to her and let her know if you need her to adjust strength and she gets on it right away. I'd be coming here regularly if I lived a little closer.

I am a veteran of PT rehab stints having had two hip replacements, two rotator cuff surgeries, and one hip labrum tear surgery over the past 25+ years. I believe I know a thing or two about effective PT therapy. Not to take anything away from Athletico, who treated all of my above issues, the Elevate PT team is a significant cut above the typical PT practice. What stands them apart is their deep attentiveness to proper form and function, plus utilizing a frequent change of protocol to both challenge me and keep me motivated. Shivani's goal is not to just get me back to some sort of "status quo", but to make lasting improvements that leaves me better off than before my arrival at her practice. She also taught me many things that I could incorporate on my own to better manage my lower back issues, and those have proven to be quite useful. She pointed out and fixed things wrong with my gait and posture that no one had ever pointed out to me before. Her knowledge and ability to present it in non medical terms is really terrific. I was given a comprehensive home routine that I followed. I did not ever think I would be relieved of the neck pain and I am glad that I do not have it often. It always felt like something was missing, so I searched around for an expert that could help me piece it together. I sat down with Jason for my initial evaluation, prepared for another month long routine of stretching and glute strengthening exercises. But even within the first half hour of meeting me, Jason was already subverting my expectations. He effortlessly identified a lack of hip mobility and tight quads -- the ultimate "etiology" of the knee pain as he called it.
