He's since split away and gone out on his own. My first experiences with this practice date back to when it was Trinity Orthopaedics. Dr. Sheehan was an exceptional doctor and Dr. Romano keeps to that tradition. He is thorough with his exams and spends a lot of time interacting with patients and understanding their concerns. I like that he seems to focus more on rehabilitation than surgical intervention, instead favoring physical therapy, sports medicine, and other non-invasive approaches. At the same time, he's not going to ignore the need for surgery when it will get the job done. I trust Dr. Romano to take care of me and do a do a good job. He's an all-around excellent surgeon. One thing that stands out about Dr. Romano is his unique diagnostic approach. He focuses on root causes. He explained to me about one patient who came in wanting shoulder surgery, but he was able to trace the cause to the mid-back. When he treated that, the shoulder pain went away. Had he operated on the shoulder, it probably would have continued to hurt because the shoulder was fine. I went in for an injury and he was quickly able to pinpoint the cause and get me to physical therapy. The physical therapy department in his office, led by Dr. Nugent, is excellent. The guy is really smart and cares a lot about his patients. The only downside is that you may wait a while to be seen. His thoroughness comes at a minor cost. The waits can be long some days, but I'd rather wait for good service than have a doctor spend 2-3 minutes with me on a half-assed exam but be right on schedule. I understand they limit the number of presenting concerns you can bring in a single visit, but that makes sense.

I was already paying 10$ per visit and was NOT TOLD about any other potential bills or statements coming my way. I specifically asked if 10$ was the only amount I'll be paying and was told YES by the staff at the front desk who did my initial insurance pre-authorization. So I get this bill and I called the billing number and after an hour of trying to figure out why I didn't know about any other payments I would have to make, he told there was a statement sent to me at the end of January with a due date of February 13th. So I told this man I never got any statements and the staff at the clinic never said I'd be paying anything other than the 10$ payment per visit or about any statements or bills I might get. I asked specifically if I would have to pay anything further and I told her that another PT place I went to wanted to charge me over 100$. The woman at the desk seemed really surprised too and never mentioned any further statements. So I kept going for weeks and then I get this bill for hundreds of dollars and NOTHING previously. The man I was talking to said that maybe the mail carrier lost my mail. And we went back and forth for over an hour and he just kept saying I supposedly received a previous statement. And I was attempting to impress upon him that if I had received a previous statement for a few hundred dollars I would stopped going!!! I'm going to keep calling until someone admits fault. I've had plenty of pre authorizations before and they tell you what to expect bc that's why we ask to get the pre authorization, so I know what I'm getting into. Right? The point is, I never received a first statement or anything that would indicate I'd be paying something other than 10$ per visit

To receive back shots, therapy, AND support. I could not be more pleased with such an amazing facility and staff. The place is also clean and sanitized properly. Professional , courteous and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone in need of physical therapy, back issues, sports issues, accidents injuries. Since I have been going to RIC River Forest my health has improved somewhat. I credit the staff I mentioned above for this. Thank you RIC for giving me a part of my life back. I am forever grateful. I had a really bad experience with this place. I have had a back issue for several years now and…read morehave seen several people to resolve it. "Doctor Shoots from the Hip" (Dr Press) listened to me for about 30 seconds before interrupting me to poke fun at the treatment options I had already pursued. He then literally touched my back with one finger before diagnosing me and sending me to physical therapy there at the clinic. That visit (which lasted about one minute thirty seconds cost me $400) I then began seeing a physical therapist based on the doctor's miraculous and magical one fingered diagnosis. Their physical therapists move around to several different locations so are only at this office one day a week. I tried to see the same therapist each week but my schedule didn't allow me to be there at the same exact time each week so I bounced from therapist to therapist. The therapists assured me that they took excellent notes and that this wouldn't be a problem. The problem was that the doctors diagnosis was neither miraculous of magical. In fact he had no clue what was wrong with me. I bounced from therapist to therapist nobody was actually monitoring my progress and each therapist was unwilling to re-evaluate what the doctor had said. They just continued pushing me along the same path. Finally after 3 months of worthless advice the pain grew from a slight nagging pain to an unbearable pain that made it difficult to walk or sleep. I went back to the doctor and he did the EXACT thing. He suggested another 3 months of physical therapy at the same facility after poking me in the back again. Since then I have been fighting my insurance to try to get them to cover a new doctor and therapist but I will somehow have to deal with this new pain until the beginning of next year when my insurance visits reset. I would not recommend this facility to anybody. They are profit driven and that is it. They do not have a mission to help patients and clearly do whatever will make them the most profitable. I strongly recommend that you choose a different facility to treat you injury.

Improvement was pretty immediate and ongoing during the period of weekly visits and I am still going strong. I highly recommend Dr. Green and will only go back to B-Health. The administration of the office is very efficient and smooth as well.

However, because of this delay, I am happy to share that I am STILL pain free! I have been in and out of PT for various injuries and aches for over 15 years with very little success. I always feel better after about 12-15 sessions, but then find myself a month later with the same pain. Dr. Morgan's approach was so different from my previous experiences. She was able to diagnose what was causing my lower back pain after the first session. She felt confident that I would only need a few sessions with her. I did NOT believe it, but my pain dissipated so quickly! Dr. Morgan is a believer that everything in our body is connected. This was important because it helped uncover other areas of weakness that contributed to my back pain. We worked on proper technique and she actually taught me HOW to engage my core. I feel like this is something that I always hear, but did not know how to do properly. I was relying on my back too much and this led to intense pain. While working on engaging my core to take pressure off my back, Dr. Morgan discovered how weak my right leg and glute were from a previous knee injury. This was also a contributing factor to me relying on my back for assistance. Because Dr. Morgan looks at the body as a whole, she developed exercises that addressed both issues. The exercises were tailored for my individual body and pain/areas of weakness. As a result, I now only need to do a couple of them a few days a week to maintain my pain free back. In addition, Dr. Morgan taught me how to incorporate proper technique into my regular work outs so the maintenance has been easy. I can't believe this happened so quickly! I am building strength in my right leg and that has been easing the knee pain and most definitely keeping my back healthy. I am feeling so many benefits besides just the original issue. I have not been this pain free in over a decade! I am so happy I had the privilege to work with this talented physical therapist and will be a devoted patient to her when/if other pain arises. Finally, just an added bonus, Dr. Morgan is a really interesting person and I enjoyed our chats as she educated me on MY body and taught me how to use it in a way that would prevent pain. Health is everything so I had to share my experience. I hope you will go see her. It's life changing! Last note...Sam will make scheduling VERY easy for you! You won't find a better place!
