I've been snowboarding and skating as much as I used to like if I never had a knee surgery. But the most important thing is that he's the most knowledgeable Orthopedist I've ever met in my life. I had a problem with my knee locking since I was kid and I went through so many Orthopedist. Not a single doctor was able to tell what was going on and after chatting with Dr. Cole for just a few minutes he gave me that diagnosis that changed my life. Now I know exactly what happened all those times I was clueless and now I can be prepared to protect my knee from certain movements and understand why it hurts sometimes. I am so happy that I choose Dr. Cole for my surgery and as my orthopedic doctor. My surgery went so perfect. I recommend a call for anyone with a knee problem. Another reason why I am so happy I chose him is his Bedside manners. The first time I met him he listened to me very carefully and he reassured me that he was going to help me and cure me. An indeed he did. Dr Cole is was blessing for me, and at all times I felt so comfortable and taken care of by him. He's the absolute best. I ended up going to another orthopaedic doctor who diagnosed me with severe osteoarthritis of the hip. I would not recommend him.

Dr. Nicholson and his team were kind and patient and knowledgeable. He clearly is an excellent surgeon. So he recommended a steroid shot and PT to stretch the joint. I stretched for months and ended up one day not being able to move my arm. Went to a different doctor with my MRI and he said "Oh there's a tear - it says it right here on the report. Besides that I can easily see it on the film." Needless to say I was livid! I, undoubtedly, made the tear worse doing what Dr. Nicholson recommended. Clearly he didn't even look at my MRI. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

I found ATI Forest Park and did 4 sessions there. I worked with Toli for 3 of the sessions, he was fantastic! He did the intial assessment, and then worked with me over 3 sessions. He had me doing various stretches and exercises to help strengthen the areas he determined were weak. I continued doing the exercises at home also, in between sessions. After the first 2 sessions I was shoveling some snow and had a flare up, but it was amazingly MUCH less painful than it usually would have been. So grateful to Toli for his expert help. He was so great to work with. I also had 1 session with Kristy, she was also great. (We even bonded over our mutual love of Rick Springfield.) And shout out to Jay, I didn't have any sessions with him, but he was often at the front desk when I came in and was so nice to chat with. Also, the space is large enough so that it never felt crowded when there were other people having sessions. I cannot recommend this ATI location enough. He's since split away and gone out on his own. My first experiences with this practice date back to when it was Trinity Orthopaedics. Dr. Sheehan was an exceptional doctor and Dr. Romano keeps to that tradition. He is thorough with his exams and spends a lot of time interacting with patients and understanding their concerns. I like that he seems to focus more on rehabilitation than surgical intervention, instead favoring physical therapy, sports medicine, and other non-invasive approaches. At the same time, he's not going to ignore the need for surgery when it will get the job done. I trust Dr. Romano to take care of me and do a do a good job. He's an all-around excellent surgeon. One thing that stands out about Dr. Romano is his unique diagnostic approach. He focuses on root causes. He explained to me about one patient who came in wanting shoulder surgery, but he was able to trace the cause to the mid-back. When he treated that, the shoulder pain went away. Had he operated on the shoulder, it probably would have continued to hurt because the shoulder was fine. I went in for an injury and he was quickly able to pinpoint the cause and get me to physical therapy. The physical therapy department in his office, led by Dr. Nugent, is excellent. The guy is really smart and cares a lot about his patients. The only downside is that you may wait a while to be seen. His thoroughness comes at a minor cost. The waits can be long some days, but I'd rather wait for good service than have a doctor spend 2-3 minutes with me on a half-assed exam but be right on schedule. I understand they limit the number of presenting concerns you can bring in a single visit, but that makes sense.

Erin and her team were all very friendly and got me back in excellent shape to where I could enjoy walking again. I could not imagine going anywhere else for my physical therapy.
