That's just a game they play with us. That makes people think their overall prices are good. They'll run a few good deals to get you into the store and then they hose you on the rest of the items. Remember, you have to bag your own groceries too. They have little price signs everywhere, "supposedly" showing the regular price, versus the "new" price. Are you kidding me? Did you ever look at those tags? Then they show "their" price on the tag. They have raised prices dramatically, since the new company took over. They're making a complete fool of you, if you think they haven't raised them. They're fooling you BIG TIME. Here's a perfect example. They hung a sign from the ceiling in the meat department that said: "Lower prices on thousands of items. Ground beef $7.18 for a pound.....a POUND! Does that sound like a "low" price to you? Plus, it comes in a tube. You have no idea what you're getting, because you can't see the meat. Here's another one. Chuck roast for $9.98 a pound. Does sound like a "bargain" to you? I could go on and on, how they're playing games with us customers. But you're getting railroaded folks. They put in a new floor, dressed some things up and shoppers think they're getting a great deal. Some of you really need to wake up. But that's ok, keep shopping there and fritter your money away. It's only "money," right? SMH.

I have had to bring meat, produce and there already cooked rice back numerous times. Things happen‍ But this time by far was the worst time. Again, I purchased rice that was already cooked, Had to return it due to mold. I'm sure a lot of you were going to wonder how I didn't notice it right away. I was in a huge rush and I was just grabbing a couple things quickly. Once I got home and realized the rice had mold on it I immediately called the store. I spoke with a woman that was very understanding and told me to bring it back and she would give me a refund AS WELL AS get a new rice. I explained that I wouldn't be able to come back until the next day. She said that was fine. The next day comes, I return to the store to bring back the rice. The lady at the counter tells me I could pick out a new rice OR I may have my money back. I inform her with the lady on the phone said yesterday. She then told me that since I don't have a receipt that is not possible. When I say this lady was rude, I mean, she was unprofessional, illtempered, annoyed with my presence and rolled her eyes while raising her voice at me. I then told her never mind. Give me the rice back. As I started to walk away because I was not going to be treated like that I thought to myself no I'm gonna speak with her supervisor first due to her behavior. I asked for her supervisor and she laughed, Then yelled in Spanish to the side room. A woman comes out, and I explained to her what happened with the rice. She then informs me of the same thing that the previous lady told me. I explained to her what the woman on the phone said the day prior. She tells me that she didn't work yesterday And without me having a receipt, that's all she could do for me. I then call my boyfriend at home and have him send me a copy of the receipt. I showed her the receipt and she says she still can't do both. I said then what was the point of getting you the receipt? And she said to make sure you were telling the truth about when you bought it because I can't believe that this is our rice. !!!!!!!! Now I'm pissed. Not only are you Now calling me a liar, I had to drive 45 minutes out of my way just to bring back some moldy rice, be talked down to, laughed at and find out I was lied to you about your policy. But I'm the liar right? I asked for my money back then paid for my new items(bc I'm not petty)and left the store. I cannot believe the way they treat their customers. They just kind of looked at each other and left. I was next in line and decided to look at my receipt. I too was charged more than the listed price in the cooler for that wine and another item I bought. I pointed it out and all the cashier said was they were adjusting the prices for the season. I said that they needed to publish the correct price then. Nothing. Crickets. No adjustment and no apology. Barney's is only a couple miles, so I will just go there from now on. Check your receipts, but good luck getting them to make good on it.

There were only a handful of people here. I loved it. The place was old but clean and the staff was friendly. I didn't have too much time to examine the prices but I had to pause a couple of time to do a double take and say WOW that is a good deal. It almost makes me want to move to LaPorte.
